The Best Long Sleeve Tops to Wear Now

It is officially fall, and I’m loving it! It’s actually been cool enough these last few evenings that I’ve needed a jacket. Sadly, it’s still not cool during the day. Sigh. Oh well, that’s why God created four seasons! At the end of summer, I start wearing short sleeves with cardigans and lightweight jackets, but it’s time to put those tops away and go with something a little weightier. That’s why I’m sharing the best long-sleeve tops to wear now!

I look for softness in tops and sweaters, so I have lots of cashmere in my wardrobe. I love this neutral color for fall, but it comes in several other colors you might like. The sweater runs true to size; I’m wearing a medium.

The burgundy Mongolian Cashmere Polo Sweater is so soft, and I love the way it looks and feels. I’m trying to decide if I need to order a medium to see if that size would fit me better. The sweater is a drop-sleeve, so it is going to be a tad oversized, and I don’t want it to fit too tight. Oh well, I’ve sat here and talked myself into trying the medium because I’ll always wonder until I check it out. The great thing about Quince is they have a 365-day return policy, so I’ll not be rushed to send one of them back.

I love this top with the lace sleeves. It’s essentially a very casual silhouette, but the detailing of the sleeves really elevates it. I’d wear this with jeans and sneakers or pair it with some winter white pants and a bold necklace, and BOOM. It comes in over 30 colors if you’re not a fan of the black, and it’s very affordable!

What a beautiful color for fall! Before you gurls who hate yellow yell at me, lol; you should know it also comes in black, white, red, orange, and a host of others. I love the smocking at the shoulders, which continues on the back. Wouldn’t this look great with jeans and a pair of tall boots? Pair it with a puffy vest, and you will look amazing!

One of the reasons I started this blog is to help women look and feel better about themselves. I know there are days I’m puttering around the house and catch a glimpse in the mirror and think, whoa! My point is that there’s no need to be schlumpy in an old torn T-shirt. This shirt is very cute and comfortable and would look chic as you run errands, but it would also be fine to just Netflix and Chill in. I like the taupe color, but it also comes in black, white, and wine.

Wrap tops (even faux wraps) are flattering on almost everyone, but they are especially great for apple-shaped ladies. This is a nice jersey, and even though it looks expensive, it’s under $50 dollars. It also comes in black if you want a more formal look, and olive, which looks more casual.

This is a basic that everyone needs in their closet. A black bodysuit is a great staple. It looks chic and elegant by itself, but the big benefit is that it’s a terrific base layer to build upon. Wear it with a blazer, under a vest, or with a denim jacket – the options are limitless!

I’m a sucker for dark green! This chiffon top is chock full of details. I love the pintuck pleats, the ruffle neck, and the smocked sleeves. If you don’t love the color as much as I do, never fear. There are a bunch of others, including bright red, pale green, and pink. CeCe is one of my favorite brands. It’s always a good choice.

For those who want to look chic but casual, this knot top by Bobeau is perfect! Basic doesn’t have to be boring! The charcoal looks great, but it also comes in grey and chocolate. I like it paired with jeans, but I could also see this with soft leggings for a day of lounging.

  16. Kimberley says:

I really appreciate this post. I’m in Florida and lots of the “fall” options that are being shown on other sites are way too hot for our weather. These look great and will let me feel like I’m changing my wardrobe to fall even though it’s still warm out.

  17. Karrie Knutson says:

I like the comment about looking in the mirror at what you are wearing at home. We do not need to wear a ratty old T-shirt. I am going to cut up my old T-shirts and make them dust-rags. Time to look better for myself at home.

  18. Amy Brinkman says:

I love the two v-neck blouses from Amazon. If I win, I will be ordering them. 😃

  22. Your mom looks so stylish! I really love the cashmere polo top! That would be great here in Colorado. I live in a rural part, the closest stores are 20 miles away and I really only go out two to three times a week to church and grocery store. The rest of the time I am at home in sweats, don’t care if they get messed up. I do like to look good though when I go out. Thanks for such great ideas!

  23. Laura Garrett says:

Love all the pretty fall colors, and that wrap top is so classic and forgiving in fit. You and your mom are cute “Twinsies”!

  24. Kellie Johnson says:

Love the tops on your blog today. I’m ordering two of the tops shown from Amazon. Fall is a always a tough season for me in regard to clothing. I have a lot of sweaters and cold weather clothing, but always need the transitions pieces for Fall and these tops are perfect.

  25. I love football (college), but you’re speaking my language when you talk about basketball. I played high school ball many years ago and still go to all our high school games. I live across from the school and walk to the home games. So glad you two got to go see your grandson’s game. 🙂 I’m sure he’ll always remember the support y’all showed him.

    1. Sheli, I’ve been lucky this year to get to see a lot of their games this year.

  26. I love this post so much because I need new long sleeve tops. I love several of these and will be ordering a few plus the flat shoes. Your mother is so pretty and y’all look so much alike!! Fun times watching your grandson’s game together!!

    1. I told her that everyone was saying that we look alike.

  27. That yellow shirt is perfect for fall! Love so many of these!

  28. Janice Nagle says:

I love body suit from Nordstrom. Body suits stay tucked no matter how much you move. I wonder if this body suit has snaps at the crotch. That is essential!

  29. I love the tops especially for fall. It’s that in between time of year for clothes.

  30. Love the plum/purple color

  31. Carole from Canada says:

These are great tops. Not cold enough for jackets yet here but definitely long sleeves.

  33. This is a great post, especially for those of us in “fake fall.” 🤦🏻‍♀️ We had cool temps for a bit and now we are back to 80-90 degrees, but the mornings and evenings are nice. I do like to get long-sleeved tops now, though, so I’ll be ready for REAL fall! 🍂💛 These are all so good! . . . BTW, I know you’ve NEVER heard this, but you and your mom are twinsies! 👯‍♀️😜😜😜

    1. Haha, Cindy. I’ll be sure to tell mom you said that.

      1. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

  34. I love the yellow top but will order in red for the holidays. It is nice that you can push the sleeves up. Wrap tops are great and, I agree, are very flattering.
I am curious, Tania, how many hours in a week do you put toward shopping, researching and writing your blog? They are always so put together and enjoyable to read.

    1. Oh, my goodness! You wouldn’t believe how much time goes into the blog. Writing is the easy part, but all the back ground stuff takes all day, every day.

  35. I just love the dark green tops available this season. Such a beautiful color.

  36. Hi
I am soo glad I found your blog! I recently had my styles done and I’m a natural romantic. Lots of your outfits are perfect for me.
I love the purple one above …. I saw a jumper with the same collar on, wasn’t sure it would work but can see it would be perfect 🤩 thank you 🤩🤩🥰

  37. Dana Smithmier says:

I may have to order ALL of these❤️❤️

  38. Ann Pavlicek says:

I love sweaters, however, there are only a few days here in the Houston area that we get to wear them. So, thank you for sharing the long sleeve blouses. I need to get out of the athletic wear and dress up more to run errands.

  39. Funny I keep picturing you in each one of these tops thinking Tania would look great in this, me not so much ha! Love the cashmere sweaters.

    1. Lol! I love playing dress up. Lol!

  40. I’ve recently started shopping at Wal-Mart. They sure have changed their style. Love it.
