Ten of The Best Chic and Cozy Turtlenecks
It’s so close to being officially fall I can taste the pumpkin spice! While it might not be time for your heavy coat, layering is a great transitional game plan for these in-between days. Gurls, today I’m sharing ten of the best chic and cozy turtlenecks for you to get now. I don’t know about you, but I love anything that covers my neck, lol.
Ten of The Best Chic and Cozy Turtlenecks
I LOVE this turtleneck from Chico’s. These small silver buttons on the sleeve are everything. I think it’s gorgeous in white but it also comes in black, navy, and a beautiful berry. This is lightweight and made from Viscose which makes it very comfortable.
This ribbed mock neck sweater is from Talbot’s, one of my favorite brands. This would be lovely worn with dark dress pants or more casually with jeans. The clementine color is beautiful, but it comes in others. I love the side slits, too. It would look amazing with jeggings and boots!
A basic turtleneck is a must-have. If you don’t have one in your closet, now is the time. This version from Talbot’s is perfection. These are thin, so you can wear them under a sweater or vest and run small. If you don’t like your turtleneck fitted, then size up one size.

Cable knit sweaters are always in style! This is 100% cotton and machine washable, so the care is easy. It’s such a classic look. Available in a lot of different colors, it’s just $38 dollars and has a 4.5-star rating with over 8000 reviews. Buy one in every color. 🙂
This turtleneck has an oversized cowl neck. I’m a fan! I love options, lol. This is lightweight and soft and made of 51% Viscose. The sage green would look great for fall paired with either brown or black tall boots. It’s only $31 dollars and available in over 20 colors.
Stripes are IN, but that’s just one of the many things I love about this sweater. I like the neck, the shoulder buttons, and especially the $42 dollar price tag. The reviews are great (4.4 stars), but most people say it runs small. It comes in reverse white with black stripes and many other colors as well.
Looking for a cozy turtleneck to wear with leggings? This would fit the bill. This is a sit-in-front-of-a-fire-and-drink-coffee kind of turtleneck. Gurls, it has been reviewed 28,000 times! With a rating of 4.4 stars and a price tag of just $36 dollars, you can’t go wrong. Plus, it comes in a ton of other colors. 🙂
Ten of The Best Chic and Cozy Turtlenecks
Here’s another oversized turtleneck for those of you who like things extra cozy. This is long and would be great with leggings and a pair of booties. Do you like the taupe color? I think it’s a great neutral, but of course, there are others if you don’t love it. It’s very affordable, $37 dollars.
I think this looks so expensive! It really does in the tan or black, but I wanted to give you all a little bit of color so you wouldn’t think you’d stumbled onto the wrong blog, lol. I think this is pretty close to cobalt blue, one of the trending colors for 2023! It’s made from Viscose, very soft, and is just $30 dollars.
Raise your hand if you love turtlenecks as much as I do.

I’m a huge turtleneck fan and it’s my go-to neckline for roughly seven months of the year.
They’re great for all occasions and no other garment warms me up quicker on a cold day 😀
I’m not much of a turtle neck wearer, I tend to pull at the neckline.
Carole, I try to find loose fitting turtlenecks so that I don’t do that.
I am typically not a turtleneck fan, but I have lost over 50 lbs in the last year and find I am running cooler than usual…so this may be the year I can finally wear turtlenecks! Love the one from Chico’s especially!
I’m always cold, so maybe that is why I love them.
Loved the turtle necks.
I couldn’t help but notice how your skin is glowing. Looks great.
I don’t wear turtlenecks anymore – I get too overheated in them
I absolutely love your blog. I recently lost 50 pounds, am 70 years old and I have found so many of your fashion ideas an inspiration for my new style. Only problem is I cant stop looking and getting new ideas. Thanks Tania and God bless
Love all these options! Thanks so much!
I love wearing turtlenecks. All of these that you have shown are beautiful but my favorites are the oversized ones because one of my favorite fall and winter outfits is an oversized turtleneck with leggings and boots!
I like turtlenecks if they are fairly loose and soft. That white one from Chico’s looks like it would be perfect!
I like the loose ones too.
Well…the term “turtle” definitely applies to me when I wear one if these sweaters…lol! I have virtually no neck, so I stick with the v-neck styles. i love seeing all the great colors for fall though!
Lol! I understand. That is why I’m a huge fan of v-necks too!
I wear turtle necks throughout fall and winter…love them! I especially liked the cobalt blue color but it did not show up when I followed the link to Amazon.
Celia, that happens when the color sells out. They are good about restocking though, so it might show back up soon.
I love turtleneck sweaters! Always a staple in my wardrobe. The cotton turtlenecks make great additions to a plain crewneck sweatshirt or a crewneck sweater.
I love turtlenecks. Fall is my favorite season. Love your blog.
I do like turtle necks but must stick with a mock turtle because I don’t have a nice long neck but a small one 😏
You look good in turtlenecks!
Beautiful sweaters. I prefer a mock turtleneck so thanks for including some of them.
These are really pretty. I love this coast, I have one nightgown in viscose and it is so lightweight and comfortable I’ll have to take a look at this turtleneck. when I was in Wisconsin I owned 15! now in Florida I have three and they don’t even all get worn any Year haha
Thank you for this blog! I love turtlenecks and you always give the best choices!
Some people like you look good in turtlenecks. I don’t think I do. I do have one that doesn’t go too high. I wear it when it’s real cold. I can tolerate a mock turtleneck better.
Tania,
I love turtlenecks too. Thank you for sharing a variety of options. I particularly like sweaters with the accent buttons on the sleeves or shoulder.
Love these! Especially the blue
I really enjoy wearing turtlenecks, they are cozy and warm. I used to have all colors and fabrics, but “they went, as I grew”. Or they shrunk, LOL, whichever works.
Hopefully will be back wearing this year.
Lol! It is that dang dryers fault. Hahaha!
I haven’t written a true turtleneck in years and I used to like them. Perhaps a bulkier one that’s not tight fitting will do the trick.
I bought the pale blue turtleneck from Amazon that you styled with a scarf a few days ago. You purchased the L, so I ordered the XL. It might be a tiny bit big, but not much. I’d rather have it that way than too close-fitting. It’s light, so soft, the neck doesn’t choke me, and it’s less than $30! I then bought it in burgundy, which is a color I’m liking a lot this year. Oh, an added bonus is that it’s “try before you buy,” which I like to do. Thank you for finding it for us.
Nancy, they try it before you buy it is a great option. I wish they had it for everything!
I love turtlenecks-always have. I especially like the tunic length ones you showed us. I love wearing them with leggings and boots.
Being a native Floridian and still here, TURTLENECKS aren’t a must in my wardrobe! TOO HOT!
I love turtlenecks! You chose well. I would like to see different ways to accessorize a turtleneck
Im a mock turtleneck fan! Its still too hot in California to think about wearing a heavy sweater, give me another month and Ill change my mind. Beautiful sweaters!
Carole, I love that I have 4 seasons where I live. I LOVE fall clothing, it is so cozy!
I’m going to be wearing turtlenecks before you know it! Although I do hope we have a long, sunny fall season!
Love the orange and batwing!!!
I love the look of a turtleneck, but find myself tugging at them all day. It must be a menopause thing, because I never used to have an issue!
Not usually a fan of turtlenecks, but the fall colors are so yummy I might consider trying mock turtlenecks.
I love turtlenecks…these are beautiful!!!
I love turtleneck sweaters, mock and cable knit. I have a lot of Chico’s Off the Rack mock ones. They are great with scarves. One of my cable knits I bought back in 2017 for a winter trip to Boston and Maine. I wore a nice tank under it and it came in handy when the Amtrak train’s heat was stuck on high.
My daughter and I were Swifties way before fans were called that. Back when she was shedding tears on her guitar.
Tears on my guitar is one of my favorites!
Love turtlenecks! Can’t wait to start wearing them!
I do love turtlenecks – I like how you can buy solids ones and wear with nice pants with jewelry and it dresses it up. These are cute ones!
I’m a fan of mock turtlenecks and cowelnecks these days. They don’t accentuate my jowels.
I don’t think turtlenecks help with all the double chin I have going on. HA. As for TS, I think some of her songs and concerts are very scary. I’m glad my daughter is old enough to see it, and my boys don’t care at all about any of that. lol.
Beautiful sweaters. I’m not a turtle neck person, I prefer a cowl neck style.
I love Chico’s turtlenecks! They are the best. They wash and wear beautifully. I believe I have one in each color.
beautiful turtleneck sweaters
Love the way turtlenecks cover my old neck but they often make me feel claustrophobic! These are really cute ones!
I refuse to wear ones that are too tight around the neck. I hate to constantly be pulling on them.
I do not wear turtlenecks (they just don’t look good on me!) but you look great, especially in the maroon/fuschia. That’s a great color & I hope to add it to my wardrobe this Fall.
I loved wearing turtlenecks when I lived in a cooler climate and was younger. Now I think they’re hot and accentuate my jowls, unfortunately! 🙂 These are all pretty, though.
Cherie, I love wearing them! But, if you want the look without “accentuating the jowls,” try a cowl neck instead.
I love the oversized one! It looks so nice.
I like the look of turtlenecks and use to wear them, but now I don’t like anything high on my neck. Though I would like to cover up my neck now, as I’ve gotten older.
When Hot Flashes came turtlenecks went out the door! Then I started to wear Mock turtlenecks and really liked the feel, it gave me some of the warmth and comfort I use to have… I see Mock Turtlenecks didn’t make the list. Are they not a fashion thing anymore?
It isn’t that they aren’t a thing. I didn’t include them because this post was on regular turtlenecks. I could do one on those and cowl necks later.
I’m a little apprehensive about wearing turtlenecks. I’m worried (terrified) I’m going to look chunky. And then I’d be uncomfortable and self conscious. Geez am i nuts or what?! But they’re so cozy looking!
Also a question about the beauty post from last week. There were so many of your “favorite” products and I know you’re an R+F-er, so which ones do you use on the daily? Besides the RF.
Karen, I do use my RF, but I am constantly trying and adding other products since RF doesn’t have everything I want to use. Right now, I’m using a few things from City Beauty, Drunk Elephant, Obagi, and a few other brands. Lol! It takes me a while. Hahaha!
I need the first one. It’s beautiful. Great post!
So many cute choices!!! I’m sorry Tania…I’ve been over Taylor Swift for a LONG time! Happy Tuesday❤
I am constantly serenaded by my granddaughters, so I hear a lot of her music. Also, since I was already a Kelce fan (the chiefs have been my grandsons favorite team for years), I am loving all the coverage.
Love a cozy turtleneck! The blue is beautiful on you ! 💙 The scripture today is much needed advice!
I love all the winter clothes you have been styling. But is there anything that you can style for us folks that live in Florida with only two cold weeks out of the year and that’s not really cold
Stella, I did a post like that in the summer, so I can do one for fall.
Thank you, Tania!
These turtlenecks are awesome! I can see myself wearing several of these and like the different colors and fabrics.
Susan
As much as I love the classic look of a turtleneck, I feel too constricted in them ( I am claustrophobic). I feel much more comfortable in a looser cowl neck.
My favorite of your choices is the one with the buttons on the shoulder.
Thanks so much for the $50 Amazon gift card! Imagine my surprise when I opened the email saying I won! I never win anything. But I won! Love your blog. Read it every day. I really appreciate you doing the research and shopping for me!
I’m so happy that you finally won something!!! Save that card and use if for Prime Deal Days next week!
Beautiful choices!
What a beautiful selection! I like mock and cowl necks better than an actual turtlenecks for myself. My favorite is the ribbed mock neck from Talbots. Thanks again for another great post!
Oh how I wish I could wear a turtleneck sweater! They’d be so warm and cozy up here in the cold MI winters! I especially like the oversized ones. I just can’t wear clothing that sits close to my neck. This old gal runs too hot! LOL
Not really into turtlenecks but these picks are beautiful. I appreciate the non wool ones!
I love a turtleneck on others but for myself it’s a big no. lol. I don’t like having the material around my neck I feel smothered. I’m more of a crew or Vneck person.
I love turtle necks and so glad to see you styling them.
Love turtlenecks, but unfortunately in New Orleans I only get to wear them for a short length of time. But the sleeveless turtlenecks I’ve been seeing are perfect.
I’ve always loved the feel of a turtleneck, esp. when it’s cold. All the turtlenecks you featured are so pretty. I’m going to invest in one this fall.
Thanks for all you do joanne
I hope you have fun shopping!
I’m definitely a turtleneck gal. Love the blue one.
I love the tunics! I am ordering one now.
Yes, I love turtlenecks and the ones you have shown look especially comfy. I will definitely check them out.
As far as the Taylor/Travis romance, I think it’s been fun to watch. Much better than watching all of the bad news we see these days!
Pretty sweaters. The mock and/or cowl neck style works the best for me.
I felt as if I needed all of the turtlenecks you showed. I ordered two.
I hope that you love them! 😊
Love turtlenecks, especially the tunic styles.
A great selection and the prices are reasonable.
LOVE turtlenecks, too! Own seven different colors in the Amazon fisherman turtleneck and six different colors in the Amazon cable knit turtleneck. They all wash up beautifully on the delicate cycle of my machine. I dry them on low for about 10 minutes to remove excess moisture, and then lay them flat to dry. Such amazing quality for affordable prices! Just curious which of the two greens you purchased that you call sage? I have the army green which is quite dark, but did not purchase the olive. I don’t see one called sage. Would love to know! Great post!
Glenna, it is called Army Green.
Love all the colors❣️
LOVE turtlenecks! I just read something to make me wonder if they were still “in” and then decided I didn’t care either way and this email was the next thing I opened. Yay!
I love that you’re posting from stores like Chicos and Talbots. (The brick and mortar stores have an uphill battle competing against Amazon.) Classic clothing stays in a closet for a long time and you wear them well. I also love seeing you in bright colors! It would be great if you would do a post about color mixing. Thanks! Have a wonderful day!
Have a wonderful day! Thank you for commenting. ❤️
Raising my hand for wearing a turtleneck and sitting by the fire! I love the burgundy one from Talbots.
Love the sweaters that you’ve chosen!
Love these turtlenecks & yes I love wearing them!
Turtlenecks are my GO TO in winter. I am like you, I like to hide my neck, which is very long. I do LOVE Talbots sweaters. This past March when they put their winter at 70% off, I bought several. I have “rediscovered” them as I have been changing out my seasons of clothes. So excited to wear them. In Upstate SC, it is supposed to drop to the 40’s at night, this weekend. I am not a big fan of oversized, I think they look sloppy. I am still just an old school, traditional preppy gal. I can still hear the high school principal that I worked for telling the students that “leggings are a type of undergarment, they are not pants.” I still hold to that, I hate leggings as pants, on any age. But(t) by all means, cover it up if you are going to wear them.!! Lol.
Thank you for showcasing turtlenecks. I like the cable knit 100% cotton. Now to decide how mant to order and what colors.
Have fun shopping! 😁
Love a good turtleneck!
Pretty!!! Not sweater weather here yet.
Burgundy/berry is your color!
