Best Boots to Wear for Fall From Amazon – Ankle Boots
My boot of choice is a camel/beige ankle boot. I love the neutral color that goes with everything, and I find myself wearing them all the time. This was one of my go-to booties last year. I find that they run true to size and have a thick, chunky heel which makes them very stable. I paired them with bootcut jeans, most of the time, but I also like them with a maxi dress!
You gurls know the drill… Vionic is where you go if you are on the hunt for a pair of boots that are made for happy and healthy feet! Their shoes have great arch support and cushioning, and they are a great pick for those of you with plantar fasciitis or Achilles tendonitis.
If you missed my fall trends post, you might have missed the memo that Western inspired wear is going to be popular for fall and winter. This means cowboy boot inspired shoes like these pointy-toe ankle boots from Nine West are going to be super on-trend. I love wearing them with dresses and maxi skirts, but they look cute with boots too! This pair also comes in black or a really fun metallic silver. You can see more western boots in my Best Affordable Cowboy Boots for Women post.
Lug sole booties had a big moment last fall, and they are back again for another year! These boots from Sam Edelman are not only trendy, but they’re super functional. The big grippy sole is going to give you great traction on those slippery, drizzly fall mornings and evenings.
Another shoe trend we’ve been talking a lot about are moto boots! I started riding motorcycles in middle school, so this trend is perfect for me. Throw on a bomber jacket and a pair of jeans with these moto boots, and you are automatically three times edgier. The best thing about these boots is that they come in wide sizes, which I know can be a struggle to find!
This ankle bootie is a great go-to shoe that can go with 99% of your fall outfits! I love a good, block heel and a pointy toe. These have an ankle cut out, which I think helps to make your legs look even longer. They’r a slip-on style, so they have the little tab on the back so you can tug your foot into place. These come in a ton of great neutrals, like black, brown, and gray!
If heeled booties are tough on your feet, consider a pair with a platform front like these. You’ll still get that stylish lift, but the platform provides extra padding and cushioning for the front of your foot, making them much more comfortable to wear. I love that this pair is waterproof, so you can tackle rainy or snowy days without worrying about getting your feet damp!
At this age, I am loving boots with a zipper because they make it so much easier to get them on and off! Not only do these have a zipper, but they also has a memory foam insole for added comfort. This keeps your feet from aching, which is becoming just as important as style to me these days!
These western booties are absolutely stunning, especially for a time when you want to look a little dressier like a date night, casual wedding, or church. I LOVE the pointy toe, the super high block heel, and the elastic panel that makes pulling them on a breeze. I think the nude color is chic as can be, but of course, they come in a ton of others.
Best Boots to Wear for Fall From Amazon – Tall Boots
I purchased these knee-high boots last year. I love the quilted pattern on the back of the boots. They are a great choice for anyone who doesn’t like a higher heel. I found myself reaching for them a lot on days when I wore a skirt or a dress. The quilting gives the boots an edgy look, and I LOVE it! These run true to size and are very reasonably priced.
These classy tall boots are easy to dress up or down. Whether you wear them with leggings, jeans, or a cute dress, you’ll look great. You’ll feel great, too, since they’re made with Vionic’s signature arch support and cushioned insole!
These sleek black boots are perfect for everything from running errands to weekend brunch. The knee-high style adds a classic touch that’s going to add a polished feel to any outfit you pair them with! They’re made by Naturalizer, which is another brand that prides itself on crafting super comfy, supportive shoes for women.
I am loving textured boots this year! I splurged on a green pair of croc-embossed ones myself, but I’ve been keeping my eye out for some affordable options like these to share with you gurls. Square-toed shoes are super popular this year, and they also have a big block heel that is going to make them feel stable when you’re walking around.
You really can’t go wrong with a good, tall, black boot. You can wear these with skirts, dresses, leggings, skinny jeans, etc. One of the reviewers called these “cowboy fancy.” I think they look amazing and for something so affordable!
This riding boot reminds me of something my niece would wear at one of her horse shows. There’s just something about the equestrian vibe that seems so sophisticated. This has a small, 1.25-inch heel and comes in both regular and wide calf. Tally Ho!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this look at some great fall boots! Get your boots on and get walkin’!

Put my sandals away and I’m ready for boot season. And I love the chunky sole boots!!
Not ready to give up my summer sandals!
Hi Tania: I love the pumpkin sequins top in the blog! (I think it’s sequins)… I’m crazy for anything pumpkin related 🎃. So, the block heel ankle boots look fabulous. I find them so much more comfy than the high ones. I have to from Vionic that have worm like iron…
Great post! Blessings, Julie
The pumpkin shirt with sequins was at Buc-ees. Lol!
All cute I have enough thx
I think boots are one of my love languages!! I can’t hardly wait to begin wearing them this fall.
Boots are my favorite! Thanks for all the great options!
I pretty much have given up finding tall dressy boots to fit my skinny calves. I like ankle boots so I don’t have to worry about fit.
I do love a great pair of boots. Thanks for sharing these beautiful colors and styles.
I love the brown vionic riding boots
Love the boot styles for fall!
A girl can never have too many pairs of boots! Lol
Exactly! And since they are budget friendly, we can have more than one.
So very true!😉
Lots of cute boots. I wore some booties yesterday for the first time this fall.
LOVE boots!!!
Thank you for featuring one pair of flat boots by Clarks because many women in our 50’s are unable to wear heels anymore. Please remember us more often!!
Natalie. I love wearing my heels, but I’ve been trying to wear flats more often. It is hard to train my eye that my flats look fine. Lol!
Tania,
I love that song, these boots are made for walking! Especially when I could wear boots, with heels, not I need to find flatter style boots.. I am not sure there are any, I haven’t found to many.
I will have to search a little harder..
I bought the same suede Frye boots a couple years ago. Loved them so much that I bought them in black and brown polished leather last year. They are an investment, but they look and feel so good!!
Frye is an investment, but their items are so nice and they last and last!
I need rain boots lol. I’ve been dealing with rain everyday for the past 2 weeks!
I’ve done a few posts on rain gear, but not one specific to rain boots.
Tania,
Thank you for sharing fall boots. I have a pair of brown knee height boots, with about a 1 inch heel that lace up the front. Are these boots in or out of style for fall?
Stacy
Stacy, I wouldn’t say they’re out, but I’m not seeing them in the stores.
I’m loving all of the boots!! The pictures help me to think “cool” on this almost 100 degree day.
My granddaughter is 15, and I, too, am hanging onto every minute I can with her. Sleepovers at “Granna’s” house are not quite the draw that they used to be, but she did spend the whole weekend with me just last weekend. Time flies!!
Melanie, I know it has been very hot in a lot of the country, but it has been a cool summer here. My high today is only supposed to be 82, and that’s unusual.
I love your outfit. I was wondering where you got your necklace from?
Annette, hmmm. I think it was from Chicos, but the photo was from last fall, so I’m not sure.
It’s going to be November before I can wear boots. Maybe late October God willing. Thanks for showing us what’s available. I like these boots and need a higher heel one that’s walkable.
If my fall is anything like my summer, it is going to be cool before I know it.
I have the Amazon essential ones in black. They are a very nice work shoe, and my foot/ ankle does not roll at all.
Thanks, Jenn, for letting everyone know how the shoes work for you.
