50 IS NOT OLD | LITTLE BLACK DRESS SERIES | FASHION OVER 40Happy Friday! I know a lot of you are gearing up for a long weekend, so I won’t keep you here for a long time. I usually have a Friday with Friends blogger buddy, but I honestly felt so bad this past week that I forgot to message someone about joining me. I feel like Brittany Spears, “Ooops, I did it again.” Lol! Yesterday I spent the day trying to buy a new refrigerator. We need a new one for a rental property that we own. You wouldn’t think that would be too difficult, but I can make anything a hard process. Joe measured the opening for me, and it was an oddball size, of course. But, I finally located one in town that I thought would work if Joe was willing to do some modifications.
50 IS NOT OLD | LITTLE BLACK DRESS SERIES | FASHION OVER 40I had the model number, so I looked up the dimensions online and shopped around for the prices. We wanted to buy locally if at all possible since we realize that these are the same people who do business with us. We ended up paying a little more for the appliance, but it was worth it to us to shop in town. Our store has to compete with the big retail chains out of town, and we understand that we don’t get the same prices from suppliers that they get. We have one store, in comparison to them having hundreds of stores. But, we go to church with these people, our kids go to the same schools, we are a community, and we try to support that as much as possible. The funny part was when I got a phone call from the store. I thought they were telling me that it was time to deliver the refrigerator, but that wasn’t what he wanted. Instead, he wanted to tell me that they didn’t have it in stock in white after all; they only had it in black. So, now we have a black refrigerator, that we paid more for, and all the rest of the appliances are in white. LOL!!! Shop local ladies; even if your appliances don’t match. Haha. I am sure those other appliances will need replacing eventually, and I guess that I’ll be getting them in black. Lol!
50 IS NOT OLD | LITTLE BLACK DRESS SERIES | FASHION OVER 40This is the last look in my little black dress series. Yes, I am still wearing my black swing dress! Did you see all of the different looks? Be sure to comment which look was your favorite at the end of the post.

50 IS NOT OLD | LITTLE BLACK DRESS SERIES | FASHION OVER 40My jewelry is a little dressier today than it has been the last few days. In my mind, I was thinking about wearing this to a wedding or a nice night out with Joe for dinner. I was thinking about an occasion where I wanted to look my best, so I upped my game in the jewelry department. Look at this statement necklace! Holy cow, this thing looks great against the black background. I love this Adams necklace for when you want to have a showy piece that brings attention to your face. The multi-colored flowers and the crystals will make any outfit a knockout. My earrings are called Denise. That is my middle name just in case you were wondering. I like the crystals, and these are incredibly affordable at only 10.00. My hammered magnetic bracelets are the Starley (gold one) and the Sheridan.
50 IS NOT OLD | LITTLE BLACK DRESS SERIES | FASHION OVER 40I put on this full flowy zebra skirt on top the swing dress and then added a cute belt to the look. No one would ever guess that I am wearing a skirt over a dress. This is a skirt that I purchased from Cato Fashion’s, and I love how full it looks. I feel like I should start twirling so that you can see the fullness. Zebra and snakeskin are supposed to be the two hottest prints this fall, but I am not sure that they can overtake the leopard print that everyone loves. I looked on the Cato website, and I can only find the skirt available in plus sizes. (Here) I am linking some other options for those who are not plus size below.

50 IS NOT OLD | LITTLE BLACK DRESS SERIES | FASHION OVER 40I shared my daughter’s acne story on Facebook yesterday. She struggled with acne as a senior in high school, which left her with scars on her face. The dermatologist wanted to do laser treatments on her to try and help with the scarring. If your skin detects distress, then it sends collagen to try to repair itself. Collagen will plump and heal the problem. Our skin is amazing!!! Those treatments were PAINFUL, ? and they didn’t help that much. Now, she uses the AMP MD Roller and the Intensive Renewing Serum. She puts her skin in mild, (non-painful) distress for 1-minute, three times a week, and her skin is looking amazing!!! ? This is a side by side of her one-year results. She used the AMP Roller and Intensive Renewing Serum, along with the Soothe regimen (she has sensitive skin) and Lash Boost. Look at those lashes!!!
You can bring out the best in your skin also, collagen is your friend. Look how beautiful her skin looks now! Ashleigh asked me today if I put her pictures on the blog. LOL! Who told on me? Haha! She laughed and said, “if it helps someone else, then I don’t mind.”

If you purchase the any of the AMP MD Roller specials (see here) before the 31st of this month, you can also get a 60-day supply of lip renewing serum as a gift from R+F, a value of 58.00!

  1. wow your daughter does look amazing and she is a beautiful girl! I’ve got to pull out my roller and start using it again. My favorite look of the black dress series was the one with the leopard cardigan that is so sexy! But I also love the one with the beaded jacket. You are very imaginative Tania!
