FRIDAY FAVORITES WITH KENDRA AND AMAZON

This has been a wild and fun week. Since Labor Day was Monday, it seems like this week has flown by quickly. Schools started back here in the county on Tuesday, and Emersyn has been trying to go to school virtually, and that has been a challenge for everyone. The teachers have to figure out the system, Emersyn has to learn to watch a computer screen all day long while her little brother is running around, and her mom has to try and keep it all together while doing the job of wife, mommy, babysitter, and teacher. Whew! I sure am glad that I don’t have kids in school right now.

If you are wondering about the beginning photo; that is me and my younger sister who celebrated a birthday yesterday. She is the one who encouraged me to start a blog, but she is also the one who peeked under doors at me, she told everyone on the bus that I wore panties with the days of the week on them, and she did a “naked city” show in front of my friends when she was five. How in the world did this pain in my rear ever become my BEST FRIEND??? Lol!!!

Yesterday, I was one of about 20 or so bloggers who were invited to attend the first-ever “virtual” Kendra Scott Color Bar Party. Kendra Scott sent us three different pieces of jewelry, and the stones that we could insert into the jewelry, and the pliers so that we could tighten the stones down. It was fun to get to see everyone learning how to put the jewelry together and then showing off all of the items once they were made. So, to start my Friday Favorites off, I am going to first go with my favorite Kendra Scott purchases, especially since they are going to give my followers a unique code for 20% off for TODAY only. The code is KSFALL, and you will enter that in the Promo Code at checkout. This excludes fine jewelry, sterling, clearance, and home items!

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a rust orange v-neck top from Chicos

Here are a few of my favorite pieces.

//  AVI Large Hoops //  McKenna Stone Necklace  //  Rue Long Necklace  //  Beckett Link Bracelet  //

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a black t-shirt with a pair of sunglasses and gold jewerly

//  Beckett Statement Necklace  //  Beckett Link Bracelet  //

Once I got the code, I immediately ordered several items for myself. Lol!!! I love chains and links, so the new fall items were calling my name. Here is what I ordered; the Ryder Mixed Metal Chain Necklace, the Ryder Mixed Metal Chain Bracelet, and the Ryder Statement Earrings in Gold. Some of these items were more than I would typically pay, but here is why I ordered them. The necklace is versatile and can be worn in several different lengths. It has five chains, so it has a big punch if all of the chains are worn at once. Since I already own the Beckett necklace, I will be able to add that chain to the necklace as well for another look. AND, since I got it at 20% off, I saved $40.00. I never look at how much I spent, only how much I saved. Hahaha!!!

Besides jewelry, I wanted to show you some of my latest purchases from Amazon. I order a LOT from Amazon, and I am continually getting packages delivered weekly, if not daily. I have several clothing purchases that you will see me style next week, but I am going to go ahead and tell you the items that I bought. Plus, there are a few items that I love from Amazon that are clothing, and I’ll show you those also. Puffer Jacket From Amazon

Daily Ritual Women’s Long Water-Resistant Primaloft Puffer Jacket

Boyfriend Jeans From Amazon

Amazon Essentials Women’s Girlfriend Ankle Jean

Blouse From Amazon

Lark & Ro Women’s Georgette Long Sleeve Button Up Woven Top

Green v-neck sweater From Amazon

Lark & Ro Women’s Premium Viscose Blend Long Sleeve V-Neck Sweater

Silver sweater From Amazon

Long Sleeve Faux Wrap Surplice V Neck Sweater Top

Tri Color Sweater From Amazon

Women’s Turtleneck Oversized Sweaters

Leather handbag From Amazon

Kattee Women’s Genuine Leather Handbags Shoulder Tote

I also ordered my Bounty Paper towels, Charmin Ultra Gentle Toilet Paper, and Dixie Heavy Weight Paper Plates. Lol! But, I didn’t think that you gurls would want to see the photos of those.

My DIL loves the air purifier that I bought her for Christmas last year. We have a lot of dust from the highway and railroad track that is behind our house, and the kids have seasonal allergies. But, she says this does a great job filtering the air.

Air Purifier From Amazon

LEVOIT Air Purifier

Jaw Exerciser From Amazon

Jawzrsize Jaw Exerciser And Neck Toning

My daughter swears these things work to help with neck waddle. You know what I am talking about, the turkey-neck syndrome or triple chins. She has been using them, so she bought me this set also, but I can’t remember to use them. I need to set these beside the skincare that I do morning and night so that I will remember to use them. (I can’t believe that I am showing you these things. Lol!)

I am sure that your brain is trying to process all of this jumble. You have everything from gorgeous jewelry, pretty clothing, and an air purifier, to toilet paper and jaw exercisers. Isn’t this why you gurls love me…you never know what I will post on the blog. Lol!!!

If you’ve not entered into my Fifth Anniversary Giveaway for the necklace and earring set shown above, then go to this post and leave a comment. Also, every month I am having a new incentive and giveaway for Rodan + Fields. This month it is all about a routine. People tend to pick and choose products instead of getting on a regimen that is specially formulated to work together. All of our regimens come as a 4-piece set, and each product is designed to work with the next product. They are numbered so that you don’t have any confusion on which product to use when. This month’s special is going to be, purchase any regimen, add Active Hydration Serum, and I’ll gift you Redefine Multi-Function Eye Cream. (64.00 value for FREE) Purchase MUST be made as my Preferred Customer. Here is the Solutions Tool for you to take so that you will know what regimen you need.

Notice how my eyes are much more opened…this is because of the Redefine Eye Cream!!! I use it 2X a day, and I never miss using it! To place an order, click here, pick your products and add them to your cart, go to checkout and be sure to click JOIN PC PERKS to get 10% off the retail price, FREE shipping, and the extra product from me. ALSO, R+F will gift you a FREE product when you place your second order 30-90 days later. Lastly, fill out the shipping and billing info and be sure to hit the PLACE ORDER button.

Thank you Tania – I long time admired already the Kendra Scott necklaces you have shown in posts. With your 20% off code and sales prices on their website my dream came true – an affordable necklace from Kendra Scott. I think will be an often worn basic piece – seeing how often you can mix your necklaces in outfits. Thanks again.

I was surprised at how nice the handbag is, especially for the price. I have several outfits coming up that I’ve taken with the bag.

Adorable picture of you gurls. Love the matching outfits. I’ve been wanting to get a long sleeve black shirt or lightweight sweater that’s forgiving but not too baggy. The comment on Amazon was to size down. I generally wear a medium. Thoughts?

I am glad that you like the try-on sessions. The quiz worked for me, hmmm. There is one spot that confused me when I first took the quiz, you have to hit NEXT (look in the lower right corner) to go to the next question. If you would like, we can hop on the phone and I can do the recommendations for you.

The Lark and Ro vneck sweaters are adorable but the price is different based on the size you order. There’s almost a $5 difference between the small and medium size. I reached out to amazon but didn’t receive a satisfactory answer. Maybe you can shed some light on this

I’ve never ordered this brand before now, and I haven’t even opened the box yet. I have no idea why they choose to price differently based on sizes, however, I know that Plus size ladies have had to deal with this issue for years.

Tania I enjoy your post so please do not be offended by these comments but with all the private clothing stores and department stores having such a hard time making it and some filing for bankruptcy during this difficult time of people dressing down and working from home- the last place I will buy clothes from is Amazon. Amazon will be fine and will still be standing when the Pandemic is over and long after…..but ladies Clothing stores…..not so sure.

So unless I only want to be able to buy my clothes at some point from Amazon I prefer to shop from the “other guys.”

Thanks for reading my personal encouragement to support clothing stores….while we still have them to support.

Carrie, I’m not offended by your comment. We have a small lumber company that struggles also, and I would love it if Lowes and Home Depot didn’t exist. I know that the 5 and 10 stores would have loved it if Walmart never existed, and the Postal Service would love it if FedEx, UPS, and email never existed. Truth is, people will almost always go with what is the most convenient and most affordable option. I’ve been getting messages for a while asking for an Amazon try-on, so I am just trying to show as many stores and brands as I can.

Cute picture of you and your sister. Love the outfits!! Did they possibly come from Sears? When I was little we lived so far away from town, that a lot of my clothes came from the Sears & Roebuck catalog. I can remember having some very similar outfits.

Hahaha! I am sure that they did, Joy! I remember wearing a lot of Sears clothing when I was younger.

I loved to read about the ‘waddle’. I used to waddle but banished it by losing weight. The wattle, with double Ts not Ds lol is NOT GONE. I just this past Thursday got a round of fillers and asked about my jowls (don’t pigs have those?) and she said that when you are my age (70+) and have lost 55 lbs they become a part of your anatomy. So sad. So my advice is don’t gain weight. Which naturally is hard to do with being married to Jack Spratt. He eats snacks constantly and never gains an ounce. It’s so not fair!

My plastic surgeon friend offered wattle removal for $13K. Yikes. I bought a NuFACE but it’s not helpful.

My dermatologist office gave me tear trough fillers and that worked. Now at least I look awesome above my mask.

Was excited to see the Kendra stuff. I love what I’ve bought already!
