TUNIC STYLE WITH LEGGINGS
I hope you had more trick or treaters at your house than I did. I love Halloween and half the fun is getting to see all the little kids dressed up in their costumes. We used to set up in the parking lot of the lumber company and hand out goodies. But the town started doing Trunk or Treat and now hardly anyone will go to people’s houses or anywhere else. Although it was worth their time to come by the store, we would hand out full-size candy, glow sticks and glow bracelets, plus other small goodies.I went today and stocked up on candy for the customers today, and also just in case there were any children that came by before we closed. Guess who will be eating all that candy? Yep, me and the other employees. That’s why I bought the “good” stuff. I should have bought the hard, crappy, candy that no one wants, including me. Lol! I loved it when I was a kid and we would go to our grandparent’s houses that no one else ever visited because they were in such remote area. We would get a boat load of candy, plus they would make us candy apples, and popcorn balls. Those were the days……I restyled the gray sweater and maroon pants again on Sunday but when I looked at the pictures, I hated them. They are now in the trash bin, so it might be a day or two before you see another try. I hated the jewelry I picked, the purse, AND the shoes. You instead will be seeing some pictures that I have taken in the last couple of weeks that I haven’t yet used. You will see the jack-o-lanterns still appearing in the pictures because the pics are older. Today look is a dress that I wore back in the spring. Here is how I styled it for a spring look. The earrings I have on with this outfit is the Sungloe. I have worn these earrings constantly since I bought them this summer. The funny thing is, I ordered the bracelet that matches the earrings but didn’t think I would like the earrings. After I got the bracelet, it was so nice that I immediately ordered the earrings too.The bracelet that matches is called the Eunice. I decided to wear turquoise colored jewelry to bring out the little blue streaks that are in this dress. The leather bracelet is called the Tylie and I have attached the Pray pendant. Did you see how I wore the Pray pendant the other day, it was really cute. The turquoise cross necklace is the Loudene. I have the matching earrings to this also, they are called Jean. To place an order for Plunder, you go to www.plunderdesign.com/party/taniastephens Some of you have mentioned having a Plunder party. This is the perfect time of year to have one since Christmas is right around the corner. Email me if you are interested at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com I don’t know what this month’s Hostess Reward is (when you have at least a 250.00 party) but I will let you know as soon as I find out.
I have a pair of burgundy leggings on that I have had for a couple of years. I meant to wear a pair of ivory leggings with the dress/tunic, but when I saw these in the drawer, I thought, “why not.” They are almost an exact match.
Information about the shoes can be found here.
I thought I would show you the look from the rear. The tunic is even all around, it is not a high-low look. My hair looks a little wind-blown. Lol!Well, I had all of three trick or treaters last night, and one of them was Emersyn. Lol! They all went home with about half a bag of candy. Lol!
This is the month to give thanks. So, with that in mind, I am being thankful today for my parents. I have been blessed with great parents, not too easy and not too harsh. They are just right! They are the people who made me and shaped me into the woman I have become.
Let me hear what you are thankful for today.

So love your color palette Tania! Burgundy is absolutely one of my fav colors for fall!!! And your jewelry is so stunning & striking against the burgundy! Love love love this! So beautiful xxx Diane
Love this outfit! I missed seeing all the trick or treaters last night because I was at the hospital with my sister who had surgery. I am thankful for her and the fact that I was able to take her home today, pain free!
Hey! I’m new to your blog and I’m loving it! You look great in today’s outfit- the turquoise accent is so pretty. We had only a handful of trick or treaters last night. I did plan ahead and bought candy that our grown children like. I’m thankful that our weather forecasters are predicting cooler weather at the end of this week. It was 89 degrees here yesterday!
For the first time ever, we kept the porch lights off yesterday. Why? Well, we forgot to buy candy. I know. Ah well.
p/s I love the tiny nuances of your outfit, Tania, how the blue of your jewellery picks up the subtle bits of blue in your dress. Sometimes, it’s the little things.
Burgundy reminds me of fall – IF fall would ever come! The midwest is having a heat wave! I hope fall is just around the corner (and it will stay!) Love your outfit today, Tania! I smiled at your childhood memories of trick-or-treating because we lived in the country too and the few family and neighbor’s houses we went to gave out BAGS of candy or homemade goodies to each child! And Grandma always stuck a $5 bill in there too! 🙂 When I moved to the city after college, I made up all these bags of candy to give out for Halloween. We had so many trick-or-treaters in the first 15 minutes, I was quickly emptying out the bags to have enough candy to give ONE piece per kid!!! LOL Live and learn! You’re right that many towns now have Trunk or Treat and/or downtown activities, so not many kids go to individual houses as in the past. I miss the nostalgia of that! Our numbers have gone from 100+ trick-or-treaters 20 years ago to less than 25 kids last night (and I only knew three of them!) Lots of candy left over here too!
Love this outfit and the jewelry is perfect
This is why I follow you! I would never have thought to go monochromatic with this tunic. It looks great!!! So cute!
I am MOST thankful that I’m going to be a Mimi in May. SHE will be the first grandbaby on both sides of her family. Let the sparkles begin!!!!
You always look great, Tania! Love the turquoise jewelry with the tunic, it’s a great contrast. Oh, and those boots – awesome!!
I love thus outfit w/the turquoise jewelry and adorable boots! Your hair looks awesome too! Sorry about Halloween! I got to trick or treat w/my new 2 mo. Old nephew in Texas! As always, you rock!
The little dress/tunic and leggings outfit is so cute and classy. I wear these a lot in cool weather.
I am thankful for my husband. My health has not been good at all over the past 5 1/2 years. He has truly been right here for me through it all…with a smile.
Lissa ?
I’m thankful for a fresh new day that the good Lord provided. We had almost 400 trick or treaters here in good ole Livingson, Tn.
I love this outfit!! I have never seen burgundy leggings, I will be looking for a pair. You always look great & this outfit is no exception! I have so many things to be thankful for! A loving hubby, daughters, grandchildren, God’s amazing Grace, and life…after Cancer you really do appreciate life. Have a great day Tania!
I am thankful for my husband that loves me and puts up with all my stuff. And also gave my three great children.
I’m thankful for a job I love, my faith and my joyful heart.
Your husband’s description of your style is hilarious, but I think you look very classy today. I’m loving this color for fall. Happy November!
Colors look great on you! Really cute look.
Gorgeous! This is a beautiful color on you. I have tons of clothes in my closet but….. nothing to wear. Wish you would come to Oklahoma and help me. Have a great day!
I didn’t have a single trick or treater. It was rather sad – I miss the days of seeing the little ones all dressed up! Love the colors in your outfit! I am grateful for so very much, but most of all my family. My parents, siblings, husband and my own girls are the greatest blessing in my life.
Enjoy today!
I just started subscribing and love your blog. I am thankful for my extended family. Two great adult kids, a husband and two adult kids from my second marriage and two grand kids. Joy!
I am in love with this outfit!
Thanks Michelle!
I love this color on you. You look great. I like the turquoise jewelry, too. That touch of blue is the perfect finishing touch.
You’re such a sweetie! ?
I do like the burgundy leggings with this Tania—probably more than the white ones. And that’s amazing to me because I’m not a matchy girl usually! But for some reason, it really looks nice here!!

I know Jodie. I have to try on things to decide. I sometimes think something will look good together, and then hate them when I have them on. Trial and error.
I love this outfit! Love the boots with the leggings and love the turquoise with the red! Great look!
Wow, thanks, Mandy!
Even windblown, your hair look good!!! Love your blog.
Lol! Thanks, Sue!
Great outfit today; love the color combo and how it plays with your complexion. This morning I’m thankful for cooler air! Love that fall feeling.
Good morning, Beth. I am a hot weather gurl, I can deal with cool weather, but I hate cold 🙁
This look is so pretty on you. I don’t wear dresses a lot but love the idea of wearing with leggings underneath. Especially the matching color. I am thankful for my parents too. I used to think they were strict and controlling but the older I become I realize they were trying to protect me from things in this world. My father has been gone many years and not a day goes by that I don’t wish I had one more day. I would have listen to his stories more. That’s for sure!
Now that it is getting cooler, I will be styling with a lot more leggings.
Beautiful color on you Tania. I am thankful for my daughter. She makes me laugh, smile, happy everyday. Have a great day… I just love your blog, especially your Sunday posts. You’re very uplifting and positive. It’s always so nice to read.
Daughters are special. Mine is crazy and I love her that way!
What a great look! Gears are turning. You look Fab!
Tunics and leggings are such a comfy and cute combo; love how you pulled off an otherwise loud choice of color with the pretty details up top and the necklace.
I told another blogger that I love Halloween so much, here in the Netherlands we don’t do anything about it. But I promised myself that I will start a tradition of having a Halloween party next year! You are wearing beautiful colors. Today I am thankful that exercising went well without being to stuffy.
Love the outfit! So happy I found you on Instagram. Just what this almost 50 yr old needed for inspiration.
Marsha
I am so happy you found me, Marsha! I hope you enjoy the blog.
