HOW TO REPURPOSE CLOTHING FOR MORE OPTIONS

Yesterday was a wild day. My mom, sister, and daughter all went to a store called Gimme a 5. This is an Amazon return store where everything is one price each day. A new shipment comes in each Saturday and Sunday, and the price per item is five dollars. 

The price changes as the week goes on, and the price on Monday was three dollars per item. Everything is thrown in huge bins, and sometimes it has been opened and pieces are lying every which way. We still managed to find some really good deals, including a Barefoot Dreams scarf, exercise equipment, pampered chef tools, an Apple Watch charger, a ring light, and some microfiber beach towels. That doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of what we bought. We could’ve spent all day going through those bins, it was so much fun.

Yesterday you saw some affordable dresses from Walmart. Today I wanted to show you how you can take parts and pieces from one outfit, and use them for a completely different outfit. This floral print long-sleeved top, which was paired with the matching tiered skirt, now looks great with a pair of jeans. You couldn’t see the printed band on the bottom of the shirt since I had it took them to the skirt, but it is a nice, unique feature that looks great when worn untucked. I’m wearing a medium and a shirt and it fits me great.

I added this satchel handbag with leather trim to the look. I love this pattern which reminds me of a Michael Kors bag, or my Louis Vuitton bag, but at a fraction of the cost. Also, I love that you can carry it by the leather handles or attach the wide printed shoulder strap which lets the bag also be used as a crossbody handbag.

To tie the color of the handbag to my outfit, I added a pair of Tory Burch ballet flats. I wear these flats all the time since they match almost anything. I am wearing my normal size 9 in these flats and I think they run true to size.

This beige and white sweater cardigan was part of the outfit I wore yesterday. The cardigan looks great with the tank dress but it looks equally as good with pants.

This is an up-close photo of the ribbed cardigan, and while you can’t buy the cardigan separately, it is a great deal at under $35 for the dress and the cardigan. I think I forgot to say what size I was wearing yesterday on the blog, but I am wearing a large cardigan and dress.

This large pearl statement bib necklace is something I’ve been dying to wear it. Even though this necklace is a dressy piece, you could still wear it with a casual look. The necklace definitely takes a ho-hum outfit and makes it a statement. The necklace is no longer online, but here are some other statement necklaces that I love.

I also added some oversize pearl stud earrings to the look as well as my shocking pink lipstick.

I’ve had this Dagne Dover handbag for quite a while. I love the color of this tote, it is a great neutral. This stylish tote is large enough to hold my laptop water bottle and lots of other items inside. It combines style and practicality together.

I added a pair of alabaster So Slimming Brigitte pants to the look. When I order white pants, I always size up so that they don’t fit tight. I am wearing a size one, and I wouldn’t want them any tighter.
