GAP New Arrivals For Fall Try On Haul
Most of you tell me you love it when I do try-on hauls since you get to see a lot of different items in one post. Today’s post is on the GAP New Arrivals for Fall, and it is part two since I recently did a mini-try on haul. (I’ll link to it below)
GAP New Arrivals For Fall
I’ve been in a neutral state of mind lately, so almost all of today’s items are beige, tan, khaki, etc. The great thing about them is they will mix and match with anything, so they should fit right in with your existing wardrobe.
I starting my GAP New Arrivals for Fall post with the Dolman Rib Sweater Vest. In case you haven’t heard, vests are going to be everywhere this fall. I have a love/hate relationship with sweater vests, so I’m still on the fence about this trend. What are your thoughts?
I styled this vest with a black bodysuit that was part of a 3 pack from Amazon. Bodysuits aren’t my favorite thing to wear either, but I saw where “this” bodysuit was different. The perfectly placed ribbing on this suit holds you in, and I swear, it makes you look so much thinner. It fits like compression shapewear but can be worn by itself. I purchased a large based on recommendations, and they fit snugly, but they are supposed to.
I only switched out the sweater vest and replaced it with the Mixed Stitch Cardigan. An open-front cardigan helps to hide part of your waist, so that’s what I prefer wearing. I rarely button a cardigan or jacket and prefer to let them hang loose and open instead.
I love this Mixed Stitch Cardigan, but I noticed that it is only available in XL and XXL. The sweater is also available in rust and brown, but some sizes aren’t available. I found a couple of similar ones, so I’ll link those below.
I wore these same Loose Khakis in my mini try-on haul a couple of weeks ago. Those were too big for me, but I loved the color, so I ordered them again in a size 8. The 8s fit much better and don’t look as baggy. The relaxed fit through the legs is a look I like, but I don’t like pants that are too big through the hips.
I’ve had this Pearl Crossbody Bag for about a month, and I LOVE it! It is the perfect crossbody!
Because I love compartments, the three compartments are perfect for me. There are two zipper side openings, and then the middle is a three-snap opening. I have the Nappa Leather version, and although my initials aren’t LS, I think the gold lettering looks really luxurious.
Jeans are what I wear most in the fall and winter, along with leggings. Lol! Since I don’t leave home for work anymore, I find myself dressing more casually than I used to. This casual outfit is perfect for running errands, but isn’t too dressy for staying around the house.
I told you I was in a neutral state of mind. The Shaker Stitch Cardigan is a little heavier and thicker than the mixed-media cardigan I styled above. This cardigan is relaxed and casual, and I’ll be able to wear it with anything because of the beige color. The cardigan also comes in a beautiful grey which would also work great for fall.
I like the Low Rise Baby Boot Jeans for fall. When I read the description, I almost didn’t order them since they said they were Low Rise. However, if you look at the jeans, you can see that they aren’t exactly low-rise. I would call them mid-rise since they hit me right at my belly button.
I love the black Pearl Crossbody so much that when I found the same style in a tan color, I immediately ordered it. Tan/caramel is my go-to color for handbags, but I do carry black more in the fall and winter.
This tan crossbody is made from Italian leather and features the exact same triple compartments. They both look and feel luxurious; they both have side zipper compartments with a middle snap compartment. The difference between them is that the tan one’s middle compartment closes with magnetic snaps, which is easier to open and close, and the black one has pretty gold initials. I LOVE them both!!!
Here is the last look, and it might be my favorite. I’ve noticed that I either start out my posts with my favorite look or I’ll save it to the end. That way, you need to read all the way to the bottom of my posts since you never know what you might be missing. Lol!
The lightweight Pointelle Mockneck Sweater Tank is fabulous and looks chic when paired with the Pointelle Cardigan. I’ve only had this set for a couple of weeks, and I’ve already worn it twice.
This tank and cardigan can be worn casually or dressed up for a date night look. I wore the set when Joe and I went out to eat the other night, but since we were going to a casual sports bar, I wore it with a pair of black Mother jeans, and it looked perfect.
The Bucket Bag Faux Leather Tote is another trending handbag for fall. I’ve been seeing lots of bucket bags in the stores. I have a couple of bucket bags that are several years old, but I hardly ever carry them because I like compartments.

Bucket bag is so cute! Thanks for all the options from GAP
Hi Tania, love the look of the bodysuits. I checked the link, but couldn’t see if there was a snap closure at the crotch or … not. Don’t think I would want to get completely undressed to use the restroom 🙂
There’s a snap closure. Some time I dint bother snapping them, I just tuck them inside my jeans.
I’m not a fan of sweater vest. I always feel fluffy in them. HA!
Mid-rise to high waist jeans/pants are preferable. Cute ensembles!
The pointelle sweater set is very pretty. Also like the mixed stitch cardigan. Thanks for all the stories as well!
Love the neutrals in this post. I really like your belt and I need one! Where did you get this one?
Peggy M.
Love the neutral looks!
Happy Wednesday Tania,
All the outfits definitely have that, “Fall” feel, but the last outfit is my favorite!
Looking forward to the goodies you are going to share with us gurls, tomorrow. ☺️
I love the look of the Italian leather crossbody. Will be on the lookout for one! Thanks for the inspiration!
It is one of my favorites right now.
Great affordable looks, I like that you used a bodysuit underneath the sweaters. I’m checking out the handbags.
The Pointelle set is gorgeous. I haven’t been in a GAP for several years. I guess it’s time to visit one again!
I love the Dolman sweater vest! I just might have to order it.
Loose khakis are not complimentary to your figure.
Love the last outfit!
All the purses are so cute!
Not sure what’s going on but I left a comment today that didn’t show up and the same happened last week on Saturday, I believe. Some days they go through and other days they don’t.
Cindy, there are times when I find them in spam, trash, and maybe don’t show up at all.
Love the cute purses!
Lot of good options for fall!
Love the d’Orsay flats!
Great finds from Gap. I don’t have a store close by but I may need to start shopping online at Gap.com.
You do look great in everything you show us. I look forward to your daily posts.
Barb
Love all the crossbody bags!
CUTE!!!!!
I love sweater vests, the loose khakis and Pointelle anything works for me! Oh, and I love seeing Lucy Lu styling her fur coat behind you! She’s adorable!
Lucy Lu is always close by. Lol!
Everything looks great except the khakis. They seem wrinkled and not a great fit. All the jeans look very flattering and pit- together.
I love it when you model the clothing instead of just pictures. We can really tell how the clothing will look on us. I forgot about the Gap, must stop buy to see what I NEED
I love sweater vests that aren’t so oversized that I have to worry about my bra showing. The sleeveless tank and cardigan set is very pretty. I can’t wait until the cool temps arrive here and stay, especially after the temp made it to 102 here yesterday.
I have always thought of the Gap as a young person’s store, but you have proven me wrong!
Grabbed that purple Gap sweater!! I love the look of your new site – love the style inspiration!!
I’m so glad you’re liking the new format.
I have not been in a GAP store in years, but may need to start. I use to remember when they had a sale it was a good sale. Like everything you had on. Take care
Thank you for sharing the tan crossbody! Love the compartments.
I also love the pearl bag. Just large enough to carry the essentials!
Love the family picture. Really like the pointelle cardigan set.
I’m in love with all the lightweight cardigans and wear them year-round in Texas. Thanks for posting all the cute choices.
Love the tank and cardigan. I have been looking for something like this. Looks great on you.
I really like the pearl crossbody bag. Crossbodies are the only style of purse I use nowadays.
Thanks for giving so much!! I appreciate you so much…🩷🌸🙏🏻
I love the neutrals you featured! They look so good for fall and makes me think, “where is my pumpkin spice tea????”
Hahaha! So far, I’ve not had anything pumpkin spice.
Love your posts. keep them coming 😺
I mentioned the other day I love a good cardigan- you don’t disappoint! Today’s GAP Shaker Stitch cardigan is definitely on my list for fall! I also spied the Zoe D’Orsay flats <3,<3!!
I love those flats and the cardigans. They are great neutrals.
I am not excited about the vest thing, Tania-if it’s cold enough for a sweater, I need to cover my arms too LOL! Love the mockneck!
I love all of those looks! They look great! Thank you for the try on !
I really do love all these outfits! Thank you!
So, about the vest..I bought one at Talbots last year after hearing they were in style, and I never saw anyone else wearing them! LOL The one I bought was a cream in a cotton and it just felt too bulky every time I wore it. The other thing I really didn’t like was it also had a slight dolman sleeve at the shoulder. It would have been much more flattering on my broader shoulders if it would have ended right at the top of my arm instead of drooping down. Does that make sense??
Also, a lightweight fabric may have been better. I’m larger busted and don’t need all the bulk up top. I’m in search of a bucket bag that is just a shoulder strap and no crossbody. Had a really nice one years ago and finally donated it a couple years ago. I figured they’ll never come back in style. WRONG! Thanks for all you do Tania!
Cindy, I’ve had bucket bags for years that I’ve not carried, and now they are finally coming back in style.
Love the purses, especially the tan Pearl crossbody! I’m not crazy about vests- would rather put a sweater on if I’m cold!
I love the cardigan set! I’m going to order that for sure! I’m so ready for fall, it’s been a warm summer in Ohio!
I don’t tend to think about the GAP as a clothing store option. Thanks for the reminder that they have cute items – regardless of our age!
Super cute stuff! Gap never goes out of style! Happy Wednesday ❤️
I love the leather triple compartment purse! You look very cute in the mock neck sleeveless tank.
Absolutely love the last two looks. I’m a jeans girl! Thank you for leading the way for us fabulous ladies!
Love the fall looks… will be a while before i can wear anything fall… heat index here in North Texas is 112, but i am wishing for cooler temps in a few weeks. You are so right-family is everything. You will never regret any time spent with family. God Bless
I love the mock turtle next tank. I don’t like sleeves under blazers and it makes a good look for those days in-between seasons.
Family is everything! GOD – Then Family…all else….
i love neutrals!!
Love the cardigans! The dolman sweater vest adds too much bulk and is not my favorite. These try-on hauls are great. (What beautiful women run in your family!)
All the sweaters are pretty much the same color. Is that intentional?
Lol! I was in a neutral mood, so I seemed to buy all the same color this time.
You are right I love the last outfit most and it looks best on you too I believe. I can remember cardigan sets from when I was about 20 they were all the rage. I had a really cool one that was greens and burgundies. I loved it.
I appreciate your candidness.
Great baby boot jeans! I plan on ordering along with the cardigan.
Tania – It is always fun reading your blog and all of your other social media posts. I am 67 and feel you have nailed it with your style. Thank you.
PS – God is good!
I like all of the cardigans. So ready for sweater weather.
I am liking the sweater cardigan this year
I have found that I am trending more toward smaller handbags than when I worked and felt like I needed to carry Everything! However, I don’t like to spend much for handbags….I am a clearance rack gal, bc I carry the same bag all spring/summer and then all fall/winter, carrying the bag for the “season.” Any ideas? I rarely use the bag as “part of my outfit.” Maybe I will find a great option on Amazon, when I win the gift card….lol! Saturday is my 63rd bday, that would be a great gift.
I have a love/hate relationship with sweater vests as well. I like them longer. I can’t pull off the cropped ones. I enjoy and wear a lot of neutrals during during early fall transition.
Love the looks!
Really liked the outfits today. You keep me looking stylish.
I rediscovered The Gap because of your previous post on a belted denim jacket. I May have to purchase this pointelle sweater set. We don’t have a Gap near where I live.
Oh I so love the zippered crossbody bags! Thank you for sharing. And the mixed stitch cardigan, wow! Thank you for the post.
Love the sleeveless tank on you! Wish my arms looked better :/ – I for sure would get it!
I love the “twin set” at the end too! Has been my favorite go to for some time now. I am also drawn to neutrals this time of year. Brights in the summer. Happy Wednesday!
I’m loving neutrals, chocolate, and greens this year.
