If you’re interested in reading more about a summer makeup routine, you can find that here.

Makeup Trend #1: Red Lips

Red lips never go out of style! From deep and sultry wine tones to vibrant and confident scarlet hues, red lips add a timeless touch of elegance to your autumn look. Whether you’re rocking a casual sweater or a chic evening ensemble, a swipe of red lipstick is the perfect finishing touch. My go-to red lip is Daring Red by Chanel. I love the color, and it is a lip stain, so I don’t have to constantly re-apply.

Makeup Trend #2: Latte Makeup

With shades that mirror the comforting hues of your favorite cup of joe, latte makeup brings warmth to your look. Imagine soft, earthy tones, creamy beige highlights, and hints of mocha that create a subtle yet alluring palette perfect for the autumn season. These are the colors I wear pretty much year-round, but I especially love them in fall.

Makeup Trend #3: Winged Liner

Are you a pro at adding a cat eye with your eyeliner? This is one of those trends that some people will say never left, but it’s set to return full force this fall. Here are some great products for getting a perfect eyeliner wing!

Makeup Trend #4: Pops of Color

From a bold lip to a fun and unexpected eyeliner, this fall 2023 makeup trend is one that will let you express your creativity and individuality. I love experimenting, and I think I’ll give the smokey plum eyeliner a try,

Today’s guide will help you know what to ask for the next time you head to your nail salon to update your manicure. Although you can’t go wrong with a simple French manicure, here are some fun nail trends for fall that will have everyone complimenting you on your nails. My variation of a French Manicure used a deep crimson instead of white on the tips. I think it is perfect for fall.

Nail Trend #1: Rich Brown Shades

I wouldn’t usually think to ask for a brown shade at the nail salon, but if you think about it, it’s the perfect rich tone for autumn. Brown is such a versatile color that it will go with so many different fall outfits!

Nail Trend #2: Metallic

Next up, let’s talk about metallics! Whether you go for a bold chrome finish all over or experiment with shimmering accents, metallic nails will add a touch of glamour and sophistication.

Nail Trend #3: Shades of Red

Red isn’t only trending in clothing and accessories this year! From rich, deep crimson hues reminiscent of falling leaves to modern, vibrant reds that add a pop of color to your ensemble, red nails are the ultimate accessory for the season.

Nail Trend #4: Barbiecore

It appears that the Barbie movie has made such an impact that the Barbiecore trend is expected to stick around throughout the fall. That means it’s time to pull out your hot pink, fuschia, and bubble gum colors!

Wow! You look fantastic in red lipstick! Is there any color that doesn’t look good on you?

    1. Lol!!! Yes, I don’t look good in brown lipstick, it has to have pink or coral shade to it.

  2. Pamela Marvin says:

I really like the new colors of fall in the makeup line. I use some of them now on a regular basis. I can’t wear really red lip color so a softer shade is what I pick.

    1. I am glad that you enjoyed this post, Pamela! Thanks for commenting. ❤️

  3. Red lipstick is so fun and all about trial and error, when I was in high school a group of us would get this cheap red lipstick by Brucci is was the perfect color for our skin tone. Maybe I will be able to find a red like that again. Otherwise its back to Relvon toast of NY my favorite 90’s lip color.

  4. Tania, yay reds! Also the rich latte makeup shades, they’re lovely.

    1. I hope you liked the wine cooled lipstick. 😊

I absolutely love the Julep eye shadows. They go on smooth and are great for watery eyes during allergy season. Also, one of my favorite nail color has been the brown shades – so glad to see that they are back in style.

    1. Lisa, thanks so much for giving first hand knowledge. I’m sure it helps a lot of others know how it works for you.

Love the browns and reds, not so much the pinks for fall. I kept hydrangeas for years like that. When I was relocating, they fell apart, but they had served the purpose for years.

    1. They are fragile, but can be replenished every fall. 😊

  13. I will try red lipstick again, when ever I wear it I feel like that’s all people will see.

  14. I’m trying everything but a red lip. Remember those candy wax lips you could get as a kid? That’s what red lipstick looks like on me, darn it. 🤦‍♀️. I do love the latte shades and the browns and will have fun playing with those.

    1. Jackie, the lip stain I use has one end that is color, and the other end is a gloss. So, after the stain dries really well, I apply the gloss when needed.

  23. Thanks for all the fall fun tips. Everything is so helpful.

  24. Oh so many good suggestions, love the eyeshadows! You looked stunning in the picture.

  30. The crimson tips are such a fun way to add a little color/red without going “all in”. GREAT idea!

    1. Liz, I kept debating whether to paint the entire nails, or just the tips. I decided to do something different, so I went with just the tips.
