  1. Beautiful purses in all price ranges. So many styles and color choices.

  2. The Red purses are so SASSY! Love them all.

  3. Deanna Sourk says:

I’m a purse junky! Love all types but really like the brown tote and woven bag! I have them on sale alert! Anthropology is a little pricey but for a nice handbag I don’t mind the price.

  4. The larger purses are perfect and I’m loving the lighter, looser fitting chambray shirts. thanks for sharing.

  5. Suzanne Marshall says:

Love this post and especially loved the red bags—if only the Madewell crossbody was available in red! The Anne Klein is a favorite, too, though. It might just jump in my cart when no one is looking. 😉

    1. I’m loving the red bags too! ❤️

  6. Tania, I love your blue and white stripe top and white pants with the red bag in the first photo. Can you link the top and pants? I am disappointed that the bag is not available, but I will look for a similar one.

    1. Becky, that photo is from last year. The top and pants were from Talbots, so they aren’t available either

  7. Norwex cloths are the best I’ve found for windows and mirrors.

  8. Michele Grech Eversoll says:

Those furry bags are adorable! Good idea on pairing a red bag with a blue and white striped blouse too. Looks really cute.

  9. I also love the red purse. I have a great solution for streaky windows. You need to buy Ultimate Cloths. Just water on them and wipe. The absolute best thing ever!!

  10. I love the totes. I’ve been trying to carry smaller bags as I have a bad back. However, sometimes you just need a larger tote for iPads, folders, etc. I think one of those is calling my name…

    1. I’ve always loved large totes.

  11. I don’t use window cleaners anymore since I purchased a Norwex enviro cloth and the window cloth. I love them.

  12. Tania, you always look so put together and have the perfect purse. I looked at some of your outfits on yesterday’s post and the purses you put with them made the outfit. I’d love to see a post from you some day that throws us some hints on this trick.
I don’t know how many times I’ve cleaned my windows and the next morning with the sun, they look horrible, that’s frustrating.

  13. Debbie Barber says:

You always pick the cutest bags! I can’t decide which one to get 🙂

  14. Tania, pour some rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle. Joe can just spray it on the window and squeegee it off for sparkling windows. I love all you do to help us with our shopping!!!

  15. Thank you for all the purse suggestions. I am loving the bucket bags right. I saw that dumpling bags are in too. Found an adorable one on Amazon yesterday. Keep on being fabulous!

  16. I loooove handbags—all sizes and styles. It’s a weakness. REGARDING WINDOWS: get the Norwex window cleaning cloth set. One is an enviro cloth you wet with water only and the second you wipe dry with. No streaks. I promise—Superb! The only thing I use for mirrors, car windows, glass doors, all windows.

  17. Ginger Hiller says:

I feel Joe’s pain as it relates to windows with streaks. The only thing I know to do is use newspaper to wipe them instead of paper towels. When doing this, I wear disposable gloves to keep my hands from turning black. Tote bags are my favorite. I have never invested in a really good handbag because I have a tendency to get tired of them pretty quickly and end up donating them.

    1. I’ve used newspapers before, and they work great. But, the outside windows are really high up in the air, so he has to use a tool to reach them from the inside.

  18. I love purses. I believe I have a red tote in my purse stash I can begin to use again. Thanks Tania for all your great ideas.

  19. Perfect timing! I was shopping yesterday for a new fall purse and couldn’t find anything I liked. As far as the window cleaning: put some plain white vinegar and water in a spray bottle and you’re set. I use this on my windows, shower doors, anything with glass in my house. I just use an old rag with the vinegar/water then use another rag to dry. On the glass around my shower where there is stubborn soap scum, I sometimes add a few drops of Dawn, spray and let it sit for 20-30 minutes.

    1. I’m glad that you enjoyed this post, Amy! Thanks for commenting. ❤️

  20. What a great post on handbags! The red ones are so tempting.

FYI I have found over the years the best window washing products are a gallon of water about a half cup of just regular white vinegar and a couple drops of dawn (blue). Get a squeegee/mop (at ACE) dip the mop head side of the squeegee/mop in the bucket, squeeze it out by hand, go over the windows, wiping off your squeegee after a swipe. The windows will sparkle and they don’t get dirty near as fast as with using other products.

    1. I’ll mention this to him and see if he can do a better job.

  21. Mary Evelyn Denton says:

I use a squirt bottle with warm water and a few drops of Johnson’s baby shampoo. Spray on them use a flat like squeegee to wipe off. Crystal clear with no streaks!!

    1. Hmmm, I’ve never heard of that before.

  22. Kellie Johnson says:

Oh My. How I love a red purse. It screams chic and stylish. I need to find one in the top handle design. Amazon here I come

  23. E-Cloth Microfiber Cleaning Cloth Glass Kit – Microfiber Towel Window Cleaning Kit – Microfiber Towels for Cars, Windows, Mirrors, & More – Alaskan Blue – On Amazon for window cleaning. Theses are like Norwex but less expensive. Tell Joe he can practice cleaning windows at my house!

  24. Hi! My husband bought Adams Waterless Wash for our cars and I stole it to clean windows and mirrors in the house…just use a microfiber cloth with it and everything is COMPLETELY streak-free. Kind of pricey but I don’t care since he paid for it LOL.

    Happy Thursday!

  25. I’m anxious to hear the suggestions for windows. Same thing happened when my husband cleaned the windows. He used windex with vinegar and s microfiber cloth. They looked great for a day.

  26. Elaine Haynes says:

I have a weakness for beautiful designer handbags, but they must hold their shape and be able to be opened wide! I enjoy them so much I have trouble changing out because I get so attached. Thanks for the piece on handbags!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  27. Marie Farris says:

like a bag to carry everything in

  28. Kelly Blackley says:

I just purchased a Michael Kors backpack….I think they are a nice alternative to cross body bag.

  29. I love them all! You can’t have to many purses! Thanks Tania!

  30. A new purse always makes you feel better about yourself, too!

  31. Windows are tricky!! Fortunately choosing a beautiful handbag is not!!

  32. Suzonne Johnson says:

I love the little blue purse with the checkered lining from Kohl’s. I ordered it this summer. My birthday is Saturday and guess what I’m buying for myself?? A new purse!!

  33. Marsha Morris Ingebretson says:

I love purses and shoes! Love the new crossbody ones right now.

  34. I just ordered a new bag. I was going for a light caramel, but fell in love with rosewood from The Sak. I wear a lot of black, mauves, greys, cream, and even muted dusty pinks. I figured what the heck. Bonus was I scored it for $79 down from $149. I love switching out my purses.

  35. Linda Conner says:

Here’s a quick window washing tip that’s worked for me here on the Oregon Coast: “Mix a few drops of Dawn dish soap in a bucket with a half a cup of white vinegar and water. Spray down your windows with the mixture, let sit for a few minutes and then rinse. Your windows will be clean, and will stay clean for quite some time. It works!! Kiss LuLu for me-she is beautiful! I love the leather handbags for this season, but the fur purses, not so much. Have a wonderful day!

  36. There truly is something for everyone. I need to buy one of the fuzzy bags

  37. Jayne Finkbohner says:

I’m loving all the different hand bags, but since having a handbag incident go missing I’m so obsessed with body crossover handbags for security and travel reasons. Have you seen any cute ones you might share? Would love to see what you find. I never worry about my bag anymore while shopping, because my hands are free and my bag is right comfortably with me.
I cracked up about your story with Joe and your windows because I have lived that moment where you step away and then the sun hits the window just right and you see all the streaks. I now use a squeegee and the can window cleaner I buy in bulk from Walmart, as well as an old 100% cotton diaper for any dribbles. I swear by the squeegee and the can window cleaner from Walmart. I don’t want anything messing up my view, lol! Good luck!

    1. I’ve got several crossbody bags I’m living right now that I think would be great for travel. I’ll share them in an upcoming post.

  38. Norwex envirocloth and window cloth – my windows look awesome!

  39. I have had my eye on that woven tote.
Glad to see you approve of it!

  40. I really liked the first bag you showed that is no longer available! Darn it! I think I see a red bag in my future for fall…why not? Happy Thursday ❤️

  41. Andrea Pollard says:

Use newsprint paper or large coffee filters.

  42. Love the pop of color bags. I need a good red bag. Thanks for sharing

  43. Pam Smith says:

I love handbags, and I LOVE your new format! You love to keep things fresh and updated so I really enjoy reading your posts each day.

  44. I have recently begun loving purses! Thanks for all the suggestions.

The story about Joe cleaning the window again and your plea for suggestions from your email: ecloth from Amazon. https://amzn.to/3qypOcZ

I use these on my mirrors and glass shower doors. No streaking and you just use water!

    1. Thanks, Gayle!!! I’m going to try those.

  45. Love the bucket bags & the top handle ones! Time for a new one for fall!

    1. Marilyn S. says:

White vinegar mixed in your window cleaner use a white flour sack towel (Wal-Mart sells them in a bundle of 6) …… but those windows will never shine as bright as you and your bubbly can do attitude !!! keep it up.

  46. I use a microfabric cloth with a mixture of dawn dish detergent, white vinegar and water. Works fantastic.

  47. Amy Alexander says:

I was just looking yesterday for a new fall bag but didn’t find any I liked. I see several in this post that I love! For the window issue, mix plain white vinegar with water in a spray bottle. That’s all I use to clean anything glass in my house.

  48. Connie Turner says:

Thanks for the handbag inspirations. Love, love red and fuzzy too!

  49. Hope Matchniff says:

Super cute but don’t think I’ll try that fuzzy trend, lol. Be blessed!

  50. Love the purses! Some great choices and styles for fall.

  51. my favorite is the blue bucket handbag. so many choices. I have to say I don’t understand the red bag that looks like the absorbent dog rugs that I have. Thank you for always giving us so many great choices. Kathy

  52. Tania, I love your new email layout! It looks so upscale and slick. I had to giggle at one of the fiery red bags, it looks like one of my husband’s car wash mitts. I could picture him grabbing it and thanking me so much for the new mitt🤣. Anywho, I love all the fall handbag ideas. Purses are my biggest weakness! As to window cleaning, a little bit of Dawn dish soap in a bucket of water and a squeegee…clean, streak-free windows.

    1. I wondered who would think it looked like a mop. 🤣🤣🤣

  53. Use equal parts vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Clear off with a squeegee. The acidity of the vinegar cuts through the dirt.

  54. A lot to consider here!

  55. Linda Shearer says:

Purses are my thing. Love all these especially the red picks and the Brahmin red tote knock off. But I might look to see if Brahmin actually has something similar.

    1. I am glad that you enjoyed this post! Thanks for commenting. ☺️

  56. Those are cute purses. My favorite style is the handle bags. I have several in the styles you showed. Bucket would be second. I’m all about organization in a bag. In my every day life I use a crossover. My big bags started to hurt my shoulder. I’m learning to minimize which isn’t easy for me. I use my nice bags for church and anything other than shopping.

  57. all the bags are cue. I 99% of the time use a crossbody. Just so much easier when shopping! That tote bag is a real splurge. almost 200 dollars? yikes

  58. Nancy Worthy says:

Love the fall color handbags. Not a fan of the “furry” bags!

  59. Kelly Blackley says:

I just bought a backpack purse by Michael Kors…..I didn’t see any backpacks? I think they are a great alternative to crossbody.

  60. Try Sprayway Glass Cleaner in a can (at Walmart) and newspaper. My housekeeper and I have used the newspaper trick for years; it seems to work well. I don’t get a newspaper delivered anymore, but I just throw one in my cart whenever I’m grocery shopping. I hope it works for your Joe.

  61. We’ve been using this combo on our windows along time .. does the job😉
In a plastic spray bottle, mix together 2 cups of warm water with 1/4 cup white vinegar and 1/2 teaspoon of Dawn

  62. Oh my weakness… handbags! So many pretty ones.

  63. Marian Harmount says:

    Hi Tania,

Here’s what I have learned about washing windows. First, don’t use Windex. It just makes a mess. Use warm water with just a little detergent (such as Dawn) in it. Wash the window with a wet rag first. Then , go over the window with a squeegee. Finally, use a microfiber rag to get any drips that may have been left. I have had much better success with this strategy than using the traditional spray window cleaners.

  64. This post could not have come at a more appropriate time. I’ve had a purse for over a month trying to decide if it was the right color or the right size? Or is it in style for fall?
I’ve decided it is. Thanks for your help with this post.
PS: love, love a red purse

    1. I’m glad that you found this post helpful! Thanks for commenting. ☺️

  65. Laura Gray says:

    So many beautiful bags!

  66. I found the only cure for streak free windows – Norwex. You just wet the enviro cloth with water and wash windows then ‘polish’ with the dry window cloth. It is a miracle cure for windows and mirrors! The Norwex products do cost a bit more but they last. Their big selling point is no chemicals and waste for the environment. I just care that they work (ok I like helping the environment too).

  67. Beautiful purses!!!! Such a variety of colors and shapes.

I was taught to wash windows with newspaper (wear gloves!) using vinegar water, never in full sun. I wash one way on the inside and crossways outside —- that way you can figure out which side has the stubborn lingering dirt!

Now I typically use Windex and a microfiber cloth or E-cloth, but make sure it’s clean and not used for anything else so there’s no transfer of products. Good luck Joe!

  68. This post could not have come at a better time. I bought a purse about a month ago and I’ve been looking at it trying to decide if it is the new fashion or not. Is it big enough for all my items? Do I really like it your post just submitted the fact that I do I like it. It’s great and it’s red. Thanks.

    1. I am glad that you enjoyed this post! Thanks for commenting. ☺️

  69. Diane Vaugha says:

Love all the suggestions! A new purse is a quick and inexpensive to change the look of an outfit!

  70. Cheryll Sampson says:

I love all purses but prefer sleek ones that hold all my things but are not too heavy on my shoulders and neck. Thank you for the suggestions. I am glad red purses are back.

    1. I am glad that you liked this post! Thanks for commenting. ❤️

  71. Norwex has the best window cleaning system! You get a microfiber cleaning cloth and a polishing cloth. Wash your window with just water and dry it to a no streak shine with the polishing cloth. It’s the best system and great for our environment! If you can’t find a Norwex rep, let me know, I’ll connect you to one.

  72. Love love love the red! My favorite color!!!

  73. Susan Stacey says:

Thanks for all the handbag ideas, I am in the market for another bag for fall.

I also use the Norwex window cloth and it’s great.

  74. Love the fur looking ones for fall!

  75. Some cute ideas. I need a nee purse.

  76. Dana Smithmier says:

i love the red ones-ill be getting one of those!! the fuzzy ones remind me of the movie “Clueless” 😂

  77. As another poster said, The Norwex window cloth is great for windows. Use a microfiber for washing the big stuff off (just warm water) then use a dry window cloth to dry or polish and you will be surprised how well it does. Make sure to follow cleaning directions on the cloth for continued streak free shine.

  78. So many handbags to choose from today. Thanks for all the choices. I can’t pick a favorite today. Love them all. Which is your favorite?

    1. Kari, I’m like you, it is hard to choose. Lol!

  79. I used to clean military housing when families moved out. They had to pass strict inspection. My secret for windows that are streak free is to use a spray bottle with plain water and a Norwex window cloth. No chemicals needed. Trick of the trade- never clean windows in the sun. Make sure you are cleaning on the shady side of the house. Works like a charm. Vinegar and paper towels work almost as well. Good luck to Joe!

  80. We use a squeegee to clean our windows along with a sponge and warm water with a dash of window cleaner. Something a professional window cleaner told us to use. Works great no streaks. Love that green sleeveless top.

  81. I feel Joe’s pain with the window washing! My favorite technique was wiping the window with balled up newspaper after a vinegar/water scrub. Now, I’m hard pressed to even find a newspaper, so cheap paper towels it is!

  82. try using crumbled up pieces of newspaper instead of paper towels to clean windows. sure your hands get dirty, but you can wash your hands or wear gloves.

  83. My moms old fashioned trick … spray bottle of white vinegar and crumbled newspaper to dry them. It doesn’t smell great but works great.

I’m a pocketbook fanatic so I truly loved this post.

  84. Stephanie says:

I use a Norwex Window cloth, it’s not perfect, but much better than anything else I tried.

    1. He was using microfiber cloths, which work great for phones and computers.

      1. Ill second on the Norwex – far better than microfiber. I love keeping one in my bathroom even for the little splashes that hit the mirror.
ALso….is he just cleaning the inside? the outside gets so much dirtier – my husband is the window cleaner around here and a big squeegie and water hose is all he will use for outside.

      2. The Norwex microfibre cloth along with the window cloth is the absolute best! No cleaner required, just plain water. After I got mine I did all the mirrors and windows and no streaks! Not all microfibre cloths are the same!

  85. Kelly Brooks says:

Good morning check out the purses we all carry here in Lynchburg VA. They are made here locally. Meanwhile Back at the Farm. Love these bags.

    1. That sounds cool. If I ever get to Lynchburg, I’ll check those out.
