Welcome to What’s Happening Saturdays. I have found I have a lot to say and share, so on Saturday, I’ll write a blog post that can include more of everything.
Life Update
This is what happens when you don’t check your package shed for a few days. I order a LOT of products in to try before I even mention any of it to all of you. So, I’m talking clothing, makeup, skincare, tools, and even some smaller home items like candles and gadgets.
My place is a cluttered mess most of the time because there are only so many hours in a day to try things, and who wants to put on a full face of makeup, then wash it all off, and try different products?
When brands find out that you are open to trying new products, they start offering to send in a lot of goodies. I’m always grateful when that happens because it is usually brands that I’ve never heard of or tried. Remember, I’m not in an area with many shopping options, so brands like Untuck.it or Merit Beauty would never have crossed my doorstep.
I’m trying to include a few other brands in my Saturday Sales roundup, in addition to my typical Talbots, Chico’s, and J.Jill. I’ve found Tommy Bahama, Splendid, and recently, Johnny Was, all this year, and I’m thrilled to say that y’all are loving them.

This is the one to shop before Sunday. The Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale ends Sunday, and prices go right back to full on August 10. Women’s sale is up to 50% off right now: dresses, sandals, and the raffia bags I love for fall travel. The Leopard Zip Sweatshirt and Bronze Crop Pants I’m wearing are from my recent try-on haul that will be coming this week, and they are not on sale. However, I found a lot of cute items that are.
Chico’s
Imagine my shock when I saw that Chico’s has an Autumn Sneak Peek, and some of the items are on sale! The Ella Short-Sleeve Sweater is one of my favorite styles, and the Planetary Blue is gorgeous! So, I ordered it along with these chic-looking barrel jeans. Their Girlfriend Jeans are all $79 today, so grab a pair of those to go with your shirts.
Land’s End
Land’s End has 40% Off Your Order Including New Arrivals with code: SPORTKNIT. This removable collared shirt is so smart! I love this floral blouse, and this Lightweight Denim Tiered Midi Dress.

Evereve’s Last Splash Sale is live now through this Sunday, and they rarely put things on sale, so it’s worth a look while it lasts. I found a Linen Shirt Dress, a billowy puff sleeve blouse in ivory or white, and a pair of Arizona Rivet Birkenstock shoes all worth grabbing.
DSW
Save 25% with code SCHOOLDAY. These sneakers look like the pair my granddaughter was wearing when we went to get our nails done. I love the neutral color of them. The Birkenstock slides that she has worn all summer are also on sale. I think she has the Mocha color. I have these leopard print running shoes coming. I don’t think I’ve ever tried ADIDAS, so I’m excited for them to arrive.
Wayfair
Since I’ve been trying to update my bedroom a tad, I saw this “solid wood” bedroom set. Finding solid wood furniture is not easy! I love the look of this panel bed in antique white. I wonder if I can sweet-talk Joe into this?!? After all, I do have a Helix Luxe King mattress that would fit it, soooo, why not?

There’s a lot of AI impersonators on YouTube of doctors too. I remember a few months ago a influencer said there was an AI ad showing her image promoting a weight loss product. I have seen photos of you in AI fashion videos. I don’t watch AI fashion videos anymore because it hurts real human content creators. I know some content creators said AI is hurting their profits.
My business is probably down 60-70 percent. Mostly because Google has decided to use AI instead of sending people to my website.
I always scroll down to real websites after I read what AI said. So sorry AI is hurting people’s ability to make income.
The irony of all that is, AI gets its answers from real people. So any recipe that AI gives you came from someone who has spent years cooking.
