Life Update
I am officially exhausted.
Yesterday, I spent the entire day cleaning, straightening, organizing, and trying to get everything back under control before the family starts arriving. The funny thing is, most of what I worked on probably won’t even be noticed by anyone coming to the house.
Ashleigh finally asked me why I was working so hard when it’s “just family,” and honestly… she’s right. Family doesn’t care if my pantry is organized or if my winter sweaters are finally packed away.
But if I’m being honest, family coming is really just my excuse. Apparently, I need a deadline hanging over my head before I accomplish anything.
I do the same thing with my blog posts. I’ll wait until 7 or 8 at night before I suddenly become productive. So naturally, things like replacing all my plastic containers with glass ones or moving winter clothes upstairs kept getting pushed off… even though I’ve been meaning to do them since February.
But once the house was completely torn apart and looked like a tornado had gone through it, I had no choice but to deal with it all. And honestly? It feels good now that it’s done.
Today, though, I’m resting. I plan to put my feet up, drink a cup or two of coffee, and start making a grocery list big enough to feed a small army.
