WHAT TO WEAR ON A DATE
Can you tell that I was struggling for a title for this post? I finally threw up my hands, and said this is what I would wear if I was going on a dinner date. I actually wore this to church, but a dress is appropriate for many functions. I would always rather be over-dressed, as under-dressed, to any function. If I am going to make a mistake, I at least want to look nice.
I love this dress! I like the style of the dress, I like the color of the dress, and I like the fit of the dress. It is practically perfect in every way. Haha I am not sure what I would call this color. Is this called soft aqua, soft turquoise, or something completely different? I really am terrible at things like this.
I liked my patent leather Dooney & Bourke satchel with this dress. I would call the satchel turquoise, and it is almost the very same color. It looks like it was made for this dress. The lighter leather trim helps the purse to stand out.
Patent Leather Satchel: As Is| Similar | SimilarI have on some of my Plunder pieces. The shorter necklace is called the Rosalie. The longer necklace, which looks very Art Deco to me, is called the Zoe. It’s matching bracelet is called the Zandra, and the other bracelet I have on is called the Edith. I think I had both of these bracelets on in my “third times the charm” post. More than likely, I did not wear these outfits back to back, but that is how I ended up putting them on the blog. I have an August contest running with Plunder. EVERYONE who places an order from Plunder through me in the month of August, will be entered in for a $25.00 Plunder gift certificate. You can buy a bracelet, and you will be entered into the contest. To shop with me, here is the website: http://www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens Try copying and pasting this in the address line, and hopefully it will work. If not, then type in my stylist number 241007 in the stylist box at checkout. I have started an online party, and there is a dropdown box where you can choose Tania’s P Party at checkout also. Several of you ladies have already taken me up on this offer. Good Luck!
When I go to church, I almost always freeze. So, I will wear a sweater or light jacket just in case it is cold. If the thermostat is turned up, I can take the sweater off and still be comfortable. I hate when I forget my sweater and then have to sit with my hands under my legs trying to warm them up. Lol!
White Sweater: Similar | Open Front | PlusI have on a pair of Marc Fisher platform wedge sandals with this outfit. The lighter tan leather of the sandals match the leather trim of the satchel. I love the little gold rings, I think it makes the shoes look expensive, which they are not.

I have no idea what I was looking at, but I thought you might like to see how the different colors are placed in my hair. This is not an after shot from the hairdresser, you still have not seen my new cut. The color is still the same, but I am going to tweak it some at my next visit. Fall is coming, so I must change it, if only just a little.
My daughter just informed me that she is having a BBQ and pool party on Saturday. Is she going to be here to clean up the house or yard? The answer is NO! Is she going to be here to go shopping for groceries? The answer is NO! Is she going to be paying for any of this? I bet you know the answer already. Lol!
Well, I am off to go start cleaning up outside and then I am off to the store for supplies. I am going to keep repeating to myself, “I am happy she is home, I am happy she is home, I am happy she is home!”
How about a little Tyler Farr for today?

Daughters. Am I right?? I have tried to impart the “better to be overdressed than underdressed” wisdom to her since she was yay-high and PFFFT. Stripper Grunge seems to be the style of the moment. Ugh. She’ll level off eventually. She’s a good (25-year-old) kid.
This color (whatever it’s called) looks lovely on you.
So funny, I just did a “date dress” post this week, too! GMTA? 🙂

The Stripper Grunge seems like a style they all go through:( I was thrilled the first time Ashleigh wanted to buy clothing that actually fit her, instead of oversized sweatshirts that hit her at the knee.
I have noticed that we do have the GMTA groove going!?
Tania, I had to laugh to myself when I read your post today..I’m glad she is home, I’m glad she is home! I can totally relate when both my daughters visit from out of state..it sounded so FAMILIAR!! Love the dress and your accessories! You look beautiful as always!
Classy and elegant. Makes me think of Coco Chanel and Audrey Hepburn. Hope you enjoy every moment of your adorable daughter’s visit.
Hi Tania its Denise!
I think the color is light pacific blue. Any and all blues are my fav!
I know you love bright colors and that’s what attracts me to your blog . I would like to see this dress paired up with yellow accents. ❤️??
Very Nice!
Rocking the Turquoise could have been your title…you look lovely and ladylike in this outfit. But does your husband let you date? Mine won’t let me. 🙂
Tania-love the dress….can you tell us about it? Where to get it? I enjoy your blog every day! Nancy
Love the color and you look great. As a mother, I know these are the things we do.
Can’t wait to see your hair.
I’m not sure what to call that color either, but it looks gorgeous on you! And I love how the shoes have the same shade of tan from the bag. You look amazing!
What brand is the dress?
Take a deep breath and repeat….”I’m glad she’s home, I’m glad she’s home!..At least you’ll be fabulous doing it! lol
You did such a good job accessorizing this beautiful dress that you brought it to the WOW level Tania!
We as mothers will complain for everyone to hear the extra work brought to us by our children lolll…but at the end of the day we get such a warm feeling when we please our children.
I also love dresses like these. Great color, reminds me of the see and sand and ice cream!
