WHAT ARE COLORS FOR A SPRING LOOK
Guess what??? I got up this morning, and sure enough, the sun came up again today. Lol! My point is, the sun is going to keep coming up every day, and even though we might have a different schedule than we had before, we are still so fortunate. I am going to apologize if you are not a full glass kind of person because I am going to spout sunshine all over you this morning. Everything is not rainbows and unicorns, but it is not sawdust, and manure either. So, let’s concentrate on the positives and start the morning off with a proper mindset.
Who woke up? Yep, that is a huge positive in my book!!! Did you have a warm house, and did the electricity turn on the lights? Woohoo!!! I enjoyed a hot cup of coffee, even if it was black with no creamer or sugar. Yuck! My internet was working, and I enjoyed a peaceful morning listening to a sermon. Did you internet work? It must have if you are reading this. Lol! I am doing Intermittent Fasting, so I don’t eat until 2:00 pm, but Joe enjoyed a big breakfast of scrambled eggs and buttered toast. Is your belly full, or do you have a well-stocked refrigerator?
I guess you have already gotten the idea of what I am saying. We are not walking around with a rain cloud over our heads; we are just going through a stormy period. Get out your umbrella when you have to venture outside the home, but continue to count your blessings. The sun will shine again, and a beautiful rainbow is waiting for us once this storm passes. ? ?
A simple white t-shirt will be your go-to item all spring and summer long. I usually try to order a new t-shirt every year to make sure that they look white and fresh. I have ordered a couple this year, one from Target (here) that is a v-neck, and one from J.Crew Factory (here) that is a crewneck. The one that I have on in this photo is an older one that has a stain (you can’t see it in the pictures), and that is why I order a new one each year. Lol! I ordered a large in both t-shirts because I want to make sure that they are roomy and that I don’t feel self-conscious when wearing them without a jacket/cardigan.
I love this versatile ruana. The colors of this ruana grabbed my attention immediately. I love that it is so colorful, but it is also soothing. The color palette is perfect for spring and summer, and I can see wearing this ruana as a bathing suit coverup this year. I might not get to wear it at the beach, but I can still wear it here at the house. Plus, I think that this will look gorgeous with shorts this summer or a pair of jeans. On the website, they have it styled with a chambray shirt and jeans, and it looks so relaxed and casual.
You don’t’ have to worry about picking the wrong size since it is a one-size-fits-all garment. It is also machine washable, so it is my kind of item. Here is the link to the poncho/ruana.
I wanted to show you these wedge ankle booties, so I cuffed these pants, but I usually would have left them uncuffed. These are the so slimming girlfriend crops from Chico’s, and I love this color of coral. I didn’t order the pants to match the ruana, but they look great together! I am wearing a size 1 (8) in these pants, but they are too big on me. I have found that I need to wear a smaller size when I order the girlfriend or boyfriend jeans. I prefer the fit to be a little snugger, so I sent these back, but they were out of the next size down. These crops do come in a couple of other colors; you can check them out by clicking here.
My wedge sneakers are a pair that I bought back in November. They are by Linea Paolo, and I love how comfortable they are to wear. I throw them on with almost everything, including little swing dresses. That is a super cute look! You can find this style bootie almost everywhere now and in a lot of different prints. I’ve seen camo, leopard print, metallics, etc. in this style boot.

I used to love that show where they would find a picture of a very expensive magazine outfit and then go find the entire outfit for under $100.

Super cute outfit. I’ve been contemplating getting a pair of these shoes. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting since January and I really like it. I’ve lost some weight and feel more focused. This is going to be my new lifestyle. I did some research with the coffee bc I enjoy a little 2% milk in mine. I read as long as you don’t go over 50 calories it will not stop the fast. I guess it works bc I’ve been doing it and still lost 15 lbs.

Judi, I couldn’t find the exact color of my shoes either. I have to assume that this color is all sold out.
Either my husband or I turn to the other every day and comment on how fortunate we are for all the reasons you mentioned, Tania. I know many others are having a much rougher time even under the best of circumstances.
I love your outfit! I don’t think I’d feel comfortable in a Ruana but love seeing them on others. I purchased one from Chico’s but returned it because there was more fabric than I can comfortably deal with, lol.

Thanks for the beautiful pop of colour today, it is the perfect inspiration! I changed my closet(s) around yesterday, moving my office clothes towards the back and my comfy active wear all into one easy grab and go spot. The problem, I noticed this morning, is lack if colour. do it but here in Iowa, we have had some very overcast days and now cold for several days which affects my

I try to think of three things that I am grateful for that happen each day. As I lay my head on the pillow, I start thinking about the good that came from the day.
This was exactly what I needed today. I work in the UK healthcare system (NHS) and my head is spinning due to the fact that several times every day the plan of action for our department changes so I never know which end is up. It’s all such a turmoil.
This post has helped to remind me that it’s not all doom and gloom. I am going to screenshot it, and carry it around work with me to help ‘ground’ me during my shift.
