Trap Fashion: Black and White Outfits Inspired by Meredith Blake
If you’ve ever seen the movie “Parent Trap,” raise your hand! We’re talking about the 1998 version today,
(although I love the 1961 version, too). If you haven’t ever seen this family-friendly movie, you can watch it for free with a Disney+ subscription or rent it from Amazon Prime. It’s about two twin sisters, Annie and Hallie, who meet for the first time at summer camp and realize they’re long-lost twins. They come up with this crazy plan to switch places and get their parents, who are divorced, back together. The only issue standing in their way is their dad’s girlfriend… Meredith Blake. I had a love-hate relationship with her character because although her attitude was the WORST at times, there’s no denying that her outfits were soooo amazing! Who is Meredith Blake, and What’s Her Style?
Played by Elaine Hendrix, Meredith is the twin’s soon-to-be “evil” stepmom whose chic and sophisticated wardrobe turns heads throughout the movie. She’s known for her polished look, which fits perfectly with her role as a high-powered publicist.
The twins spend the entire movie playing pranks on Meredith in an attempt to get her to cancel the wedding to their father, but this doesn’t stop her from looking like an absolute style icon the entire film! From crisp white dresses to adorable black and white athleisure, these looks are just as timeless and classic today as they were when the movie was made 25 years ago.

Black and white is a classic combo and also a classy one. Even just a pair of white denim jeans and a black t-shirt is classy. I always feel put together in a black and white outfit. Not to mention it’s sort of a no-brainer when looking for something to wear.
