The Good Fight And What It Looks Like

I’ve never been in a fight before, at least not one that was physical. There have never been any punches thrown, hair pulled, or bloodshed from a fight. I’m not even good with a verbal fight, and I usually beat myself because I later think of things I should have said. However, I feel like there are some things worth fighting for.

The Good Fight

I’m not a combative person. In fact, I will go miles out of my way to avoid confrontation. However, when it comes to my children, you might be poking the bear. If you’ve heard the term “mama bear,” you know our children are not to be messed with. Few things will get a mother riled up more than someone being mean to their child. I’m not going to be happy if someone is mean to my husband, but he is a grown man and can take care of himself.

While it isn’t fun, I’m sure each of us has had a few confrontations with people we know. We can’t go through life without stepping on a few toes or getting our feelings hurt. Sometimes, our words or actions have been a misunderstanding, and we are able to set the record straight. Other times, hurt feelings lead to friendships being severed and never repaired.

I’ve had this happen to me, and I know the pain that it can cause. But what if you are being targeted, and you aren’t even aware of it?

If you are reading this post, you are probably a Christian who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our Lord and Savior. That one belief has put a huge target on you, not so much from people, although that can happen. Instead, you are now in the crosshairs of the evil one, the devil, the destroyer.

What It Looks Like

The devil is real. He isn’t a fictional character roaming around in a red suit with horns and a pitchfork. That would be too easy to spot and to avoid. He can use many spiritual tactics against us, and his entire existence revolves around making us miserable. He wants to separate us from God and will use every “trick” he can to accomplish that goal.

While that sounds impossible to fight against, there is some good news. He is not sovereign. He is not God. He can not do anything that God does not allow him to. In other words, he is on a short but powerful leash. The devil’s tricks include attacking our thoughts. He knows that if he can plant a tiny seed of doubt, we will water it until it grows. We first saw him use this trick with Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Genesis 3:1

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

The devil did not confront Eve by telling her that God didn’t exist; he already knew that God was real. He didn’t tell her that God had not told her what to do. Instead, the devil planted a tiny seed of doubt by asking her if God “really” said what SHE remembered Him saying. He was playing a trick on her by using her memory and desire.

She looked at the fruit and desired it, and the devil’s plan took hold. I’m not sure what went through her mind. Maybe she thought the same thing a lot of us have thought: “Why would a loving God deny me the one thing I want the most?” Maybe she rationed that God loved her, and she must have misunderstood what he meant.

The devil will always use your wants and desires against you. He knows that he can’t tempt you with something you don’t want, so he lures you into sin with the very things you are already asking for. We all have desires, and there isn’t anything wrong with wanting more. It is only a problem when the devil uses our desires against us.

If the Lord doesn’t give us what we want as quickly as we want, the devil has his opening. We become an easy target for the question, ” Did God really…?”

You can examine your life to see how the devil might attack you. Ask the Lord to show you the devil’s tactics so that you can fight them. For me, I think the devil attacks me through my Sunday posts. These posts put a target on my back because I’m publicly saying that God is real, He is sovereign, and He is my Lord and Savior. I am pretty sure the devil hates these posts with a passion.

So, he attacks them in a couple of ways. He uses my insecurity and lack of knowledge of the Bible: “Who do you think you are to write about God? You aren’t qualified, and no one would care if you stopped.” “Why not do a fashion post on Sunday? Those earn money, and your faith posts are not very good anyway.” “People don’t follow you for a faith post; they signed up to hear about fashion. You should stay in your lane and let the professionals handle faith-based posts.”

Another way he attacks me is through comments. A couple of weeks ago, I wrote a post called God’s Math Doesn’t Add Up – It’s Much Better. One of the comments was from someone who doesn’t follow my blog (I checked) and said, “You’re not that stupid, are you?” The devil isn’t usually so obvious, but that comment made me laugh. Like always, the devil doesn’t exactly lie; he plants doubt. None of the thoughts he put in my head are lies; I am unqualified. The person’s comment didn’t say that God doesn’t exist.

Put up your shield to deflect the devil’s plans. Be vigilant of ways the evil one can use people to attack us or make us doubt our beliefs. And, when under attack, remember all the ways that God has been good and faithful. He will never deceive us, He will never forsake us, and He is our Lord and Savior.

To GOD Goes The Glory!

Have A Blessed Day!

  2. Thank you!
I really like your Faith posts!
Thanks for the Mustard seed post. I was googling mustard seed and came across it.
I think God wants us to believe more and much bigger! Why else has He put Holy Spirit in us. Why else does He challenge us by telling us to believe Him for the impossible.
Anyway, thanks for being you and being a believing believer!

  3. Deb Wilkin says:

    God Bless.

Good morning! I’ve been very busy and got behind on reading your post. I am catching up on some this morning. Don’t let the devil ever change your mind on writing your Sunday post. At our age we have to keep encouraging and hopefully leading the younger ladies to the things of Christ! You have such a way with your clear devotions! As you say, To God goes the Glory!! Prayers for you!!

Keep those Sunday posts coming. I, for one, LOVE them!

  7. Excellent article. Stand firm. People don’t realize that there is a spiritual warfare going on all around us. It’s real. Satan knows how precious we are to God and he will try anything to get to us. Keep your Sunday posts. God will supply the words.

  10. This was a wonderful post! Thank you for sharing it with us. I am one of your followers that has subscribed not only for fashion advice and help…I enjoy these teachings and thought to encourage my faith in my religion. Some may disagree; however, I find that in addition to reading the Holy Bible that one can get a blessing or help with a situation that is occuring in their walk of faith and hope by listening to someone else’s view. Please continue along this path because I’ve received some great thoughts from reading your Sunday posts. Keep being beautifully YOU!!!

    1. Thanks so the encouragement and perspective.

  11. Keep your Sunday posts ❤️

  12. Lisa Randall says:

keep preaching it girl friend your faith is the main reason I follow you and especially on Sunday

  13. This is very thought provoking, Tania. The things that you write in your Sunday blog are real to me. You wonder about the same things and when you write about these subjects you cause me to reflect. Whether or not we share the same opinion is not the important part, it’s that we are wondering and it helps to have someone else’s point of view. Thank you.

  14. Tania never allow the evil one or followers to make you stop posting your faith based blogs on Sunday I love them and they-have helped me live my life under God’s precepts more than I was before reading them!! You keep posting and I definitely will keep reading

  15. Love your Sunday posts! I went back and looked at that other post. I saw tons of comments from women inspired! Makes me sad that people have to hate so much that they want to go out of their way to spoil something. Pray for her/him. A very troubled soul.

  16. Cynthia Cooper Elswick says:

Love your faith message along with your style experience. How brilliant that He can use our personal interests to build His kingdom.

  17. I absolutely love your posts and especially those that include Faith and believing in God.

If you need proof that the devil is among us, read those comments!

Thank you for having the courage to share what you believe and live by.

    I’m with you!

  18. Thank you for that so true, beautiful message.
Your God centered blog is what attracted me to you. Fashion is great but the Word of God is so much, more powerful.
    Thank you again.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and convictions. It keeps us in check. I have followed you for some time. I found you on Pinterest. Very blessed by you.

    1. Thanks, Grace! I am thrilled to know you love my Sunday posts.

  20. I LOVE your faith posts! We are all called to spread the word of Jesus and you do it is such a beautiful and relatable way. Thank you!
    Blessings to you.

  21. Michele H. says:

Tania, your Sunday posts are the main reason I follow you! Even if I miss some of the other posts (which I also look forward to) during the week, I always go back & read the Sunday devotions. You are encouraging so many and being a witness for Christ to the world! Don’t be discouraged…look what people said & did to God’s people throughout the Bible & even to Jesus himself! You’re doing exactly what He told us to do…go and tell!
Thank you for sharing each week!

  22. Donna Wood says:

Such a good reminder, Tania….especially in time such as these. I always look forward to your Sunday posts!

  23. I am ashamed to say that the devil knows of one particular person he can use to stir up sinful emotions. He constantly pushes that button and I in turn have to ask God for forgiveness and strength to battle such thoughts. I run to God’s Word, shout out His name and my Spirit reminds me of how our loving Father forgives me for my sins so I must show the same love, compassion and forgiveness to others. It still remains a struggle but I am not ready to throw in the towel.

  24. Thanks for the mini sermon. I needed this and I am sure a lot of other people
needed it also. Thanks for sharing your faith.

  25. Oh my goodness- the mean things people say!! My grandmother drilled into my head as a little girl “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all”. I am sure that is a familiar saying to many. Every time I hear something negative being said about someone else, I figure that person is not very happy and are exactly the person who should be listening to God’s word.
Tania, I personally love your Sunday posts and yes, you are as qualified as anyone to share your love of God. Have a blessed week.

  26. Your Sunday Post are on target. I enjoy them and believe you have a platform to share your faith and you are using it! Great job!!

  27. I enjoy your Sunday posts, and can usually relate to them. I find you explain things very well without being overly preachy, and always leaves us with a good point to ponder! Please don’t stop.

  28. I enjoy reading your Sunday posts. I liked that post about God’s math.

  29. Marilyn Foster says:

Keep standing up for Jesus – our Lord and Savior!

  30. I love your posts. I found them exactly when I needed them most. I love your fashion tips, but I love your faith posts much, much more.

  31. Laurie de la Garrigue says:

I think your Sunday posts are wonderful!

  32. Linda Mueller says:

Happy Sunday. I do follow you because of your faith. Your faith & words inspire me. Thank you. I do love your fashion suggestions but it’s your strong faith that’s keeps me here. God gives you the strength to continue the Sunday posts.

  33. Laura Garrett says:

You are a blessing to me, Tania, in so many ways. I look forward to your daily posts and Sunday’s is always an inspiration. Thank you for being you and sharing your style and wisdom. You are appreciated so much! My prayer is that God will be near and bring you restored health and energy this week.

    1. Thank you, Laura. I’m feeling better today.

  34. Sandra S. says:

Tania, your Sunday posts are some of the most inspirational writings I ever read. And unlike so many devotionals or sermons, yours often stick with me. I was just telling my husband earlier this week about how God’s math is not the same as our math when he was having trouble figuring something out and it was really worrying him. I know it bolstered him. And that 40 day thing where you did the research for us to give example after example–that was absolutely fascinating and one I will not ever forget. Talk about hope! God has surely called you to this and blessed you with the ability to do it so well. I’m grateful for you!!

    1. Sandra, this is so encouraging. I had no idea my posts were ones that people shared and saved.

  35. I loved the post today. We just saw in the news this week how Christians are under attack! Your message reminds us to not forsake our God. I believe He uses each of us in different ways and it may very well be the case with 50isnotold! Thank you for this important message. Lorelei

  36. Betsy Bunch says:

Amen. I enjoy your Sunday post.

  37. I, too, read your weekly Sunday posts and agree with the other posters!

  38. Betty Cox says:

    I hate that, gurl…

God’s ways are foolishness to the world. And unfortunately, they don’t mind spewing their ignorance.

For every negative response, there are thousands who are blessed by your posts. The fact that you’re a layperson just makes it that much sweeter! Of course you’re not “qualified”…most of us aren’t! But you know the Lord & the Word says He qualifies us.

So shake the dust off of your feet, sweet friend! Those who are with you are more than those who are with them.

We love you, love your transparency, love your posts, but more than that, you honor God! And He is pleased.

    1. I love the “shake the dust off your feet” reference. That is one of my favorite quotes in the Bible.

  39. Hi Tania,
I just read your post. Over the last year a friend and I have been leading a women’s Bible study at our church on Tuesday evenings. I had to laugh when I read your comments. The devil says the very same things to me and my friend about our Bible study. I hear “you are not qualified to do this”; or “you are a fraud” usually after the class. I start to doubt myself. But then I realize I must be doing Gods Will or the devil wouldn’t be bothering me.
I love your Sunday posts! Keep up the good work.

    1. Exactly, Janet. I look at it this way…if the devil knows who you are, so does the Lord!

  40. Lori Duncan says:

I’m so thankful for you and your boldness to stand up for Jesus! I pray God’s blessings on you!

  41. Pam Bowling says:

Love your posts. We are in a spiritual battle every day. We must equip ourselves with the whole armor of God. Keep on keeping on fur God!

  42. Thank you for shining light on the fact that spiritual battle is very real. I appreciate your candidness. Please know that you ARE making a difference. Be encouraged and keep proclaiming The Name!

  43. I look forward to your Sunday posts! Thank you for sharing the word of God💛

  44. Linda Burniski says:

    I care. Don’t stop.

  45. Thank you for your Sunday posts! I read your posts every day and enjoy them…..but look forward to your Sunday posts and admire you for declaring God as your Lord and Savior! You are to be commended for standing up for your faith in a world that seems to be drifting farther and farther away from God. God bless you.

  46. Tania,
Well the devil is a liar. The only reason I continue to follow you is because of your Sunday posts.

You are more than qualified to do your Sunday posts because the Holy Spirit is within you and greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world.

The enemy attacks me and I am still learning to recognize his maneuvers. I need to be more aware and more consistent in applying the armor of God.

God bless you for your Sunday posts!!

  47. Tania – I have never commented on a post but your words today were PERFECT in timing. Thank you for persistently sharing His word and your heart. I appreciate it so much.

  48. Connie Armstrong says:

The enemy knows he is doomed and wants to take us with him. Thank you for your wise and excellent words!
I began following you for fashion BECAUSE you are a believer! I knew we were like-minded!

  49. I don’t always read your posts, but when I do I fell like like that is exactly what I needed that day. For ever negative out there, I am sure there are double that you are touching in a positive way.
You seem to be such a positive, loving person.
Keep going and don’t let negativity in.
    Thanks for being there.

  50. Tania – I Read all of your Sunday posts. I can’t understand the negativity of some people, which does seem to be getting worse.
I am impressed with your post today Because for some reason, people want us to keep our religious beliefs to ourselves. Unfortunately, you have to be brave to continue with your Sunday Column And I admire you for doing it

  51. Actually, I do follow you for a faith post. I start with the fashion; I look forward to the faith – Daily Scriptures as well as Sunday Reflections. God bless you as you witness for Him.

  52. Deborah S says:

    Love your Sunday posts!
    He Reigns!

  54. I love your Sunday post and can’t wait to read them every week! I wonder if you ever thought about writing a book of devotions? Keep up the great work fighting the good fight!

  55. Elizabeth says:

Tania I love your Sunday posts! You are brave and courageous through the Holy Spirit who lives in you 🙏 keep up keeping’ on! Fighting the good fight AMEN Sister!

  56. I thank you for your Sunday posts, and daily posts. I always read the verse of the day to start my day. Keep it up, it has helped me so much. Thank you again.

  57. Thank you for this post! I have come to believe that the devil is also behind the divisiveness in our homes and communities. We should recognize this, listen to each other, and still love those with whom we disagree. To God goes the glory!

  58. Lori Gorenflo says:

I love your Sunday posts and words of encouragement. God is working through you. Keep the faith. You are a blessing to so many.

  59. Donna Robinson says:

You being in the light of your blog post and the following you have, of course the devil will attack. You are courageous for doing the Sunday blog just for our Lord! Don’t stop , May of us need and look forward to reading what you say about Jesus!
I love to read what you have to say. You are doing what he said, let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing unto God!

  60. Diane Schexnyder says:

I love your Sunday posts and look forward to them. They’re straight from your heart. Keep up the good fight!

  61. Linda L Trupia says:

Romans 1:16 – “for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ….” Keep doing what you are doing…enjoy your blogs daily….

  62. Roeli Lutz (Canadian) says:

    Keep preaching it gurl…great message.

YOU are blessed and highly favoured by God Almighty!

  63. Holgate Carolyn says:

    Great post! Well said!

  64. I enjoy your Sunday posts and like that you share with us your spiritual side as well as your “fashionista” side. I am a long-time believer and always find your Sunday posts interesting, thoughtful and inspiring so keep it up. We all need all the spiritual “goodies” we can find.

  65. NATALIE K says:

I read your post on the Lord!! I would care if you stopped writing!! I know the Lord Jesus has forgiven me and I live a New Life in Christ!!! Amen!!

  66. Great job Tania. The devil does temp us with what our desires are! You are doing a great job! Thank you for sharing your faith! It feels like a mini Sunday School class, where there are generally not a lot of experts, just people wanting to serve God.

    Feel better soon!

  67. Beth Purcell says:

Keep up the awesome Sunday posts! They mean a lot to me! Thank you for being YOU…..

  68. Tania,
I started watching your fashion posts and now your faith-filled posts, which are super encouraging. Don’t ever stop. As a matter of fact, if God called you to only post your devotions, I would still read them and I’m sure so would many others. As a matter of fact, you may be surprised how many people’s lives you’ve changed already just by your encouragement in your devotionals. You’re right, the devil is cunning, but he’s a defeated foe. When he tries to attack us in our weaknesses, we need to remember that when we are weak, God is strong. If Eve could have responded with her need for the Lord more than the desired fruit, the devil would not have had a foothold.

Keep fighting the good fight! Many walk with you in that journey and many see the enemy defeated and God’s victory change them forever. The closer to God we are, the more of a target we are. The closer we are to God, the more God says, “That one is mine.” Regardless what happens or what God allows, we can rest assured He will protect us and always be our strength and Light through any dark valleys in life.

You’re a blessing to me and many others. Keep going, keep fighting the good fight, keep being a torch for the Light of Christ because the darkness doesn’t understand the Light and it must flee! 🙌🏻💕

    1. You are right, he is defeated. He just wants to take as many with him as he can.

  69. Christie C. says:

Just what I needed to hear! Our Lord called me to step out of my comfort zone into more of Him. Of course the attacks for the enemy have begun…. “you’re not smart enough, not qualified, you don’t know scripture well enough”.. sound familiar? Jesus says ” you can do all things through me”..
The good news is that, we can be rest assured we are in God’s will because the enemy is attacking!
Thank you for your honesty and sharing your faith. I am blessed by your posts!

    1. Have you ever noticed that the Lord never tells you you can’t accomplish something? If you are having negative thoughts, it isn’t the Lord speaking.

  70. Thanks for your Sunday posts- they are great and appreciated! Hope you feel better soon

  71. Lynn La Rue says:

Tania your Sunday posts are a highlight of my week! Your fashion sense is good but, your love for God and the way you explain it to us is even better! Keep it up!!

  72. Tania, I always look forward to your blog/posts! You have a way with words, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!!!🤓❤️

  73. Ginger Hiller says:

Tania, I want you to know how much I look forward to your Sunday blog posts. It is the first thing that I read once I get on my iPad. Keep on writing them and putting the evil one in the corner, where it belongs.

  74. Your Sunday posts always speak to me. You are not unqualified. God equips us all for the tasks He wants us to do, and we are all called to make disciples for HIM.

  75. Denise Mercer says:

I personally love your Sunday posts. You are very encouraging and show us there’s a God that loves us. I am very insecure about discussing the Bible and Jesus with strangers and even with people that are very important to me. I need to pray and ask for the door to open that will give me wisdom and the opportunity to share. Please don’t change. You are a blessing.

    1. Denise, this is exactly how I feel. It is easier for me to write my feelings, than to talk about them in person.

  76. Tania, I have said it for a very !omg time… Your Sunday posts are my favorite! Keep em coming! Happy Sunday❤🙏❤

  77. Yes, I look forward to your Sunday posts! They have given me much inspiration when I take my turn to do the program for our church’s monthly women’s fellowship group.

  78. Diane Robino says:

I admit I rarely read your Sunday posts. But today I was looking for some guidance to help me through a difficult time/issue and I believe God directed me to your post … it’s just that simple. Your message was so perfect! I felt like you were reaching out directly to me. Because I know I’ll need a reminder of how the Devil works in my life, I saved the post for future reference. Thank you for your faith and for sharing it with us!

    1. Diane, I do believe that the Lord uses people to reach others. The devil uses people to try to hurt you, the Lord uses them to encourage you.

  79. Regina Kothny says:

I appreciate your willingness to share your faith and insight! Thank you and keep posting!!

  80. I love your Sunday posts!! Please don’t let the negative comments discourage you. Your Sunday posts are educational and inspiring. May God bless you!

  82. I have never commented on your posts before, but what you said today resonated with me. There is a lot of truth in your post and I admire you for continuing to do your Sunday posts even when it is not easy and puts a target on your back. The world needs more people who are willing to stand up for what they believe. Keep up the good work! Julie

    1. Thanks, Julie, for feeling the need to comment. I think the Holy Spirit prompts us in lots of different ways.

  83. Thank you for your Sunday Posts! God always puts on our hearts what He wants us to say to encourage each other. Thanks for the reminder of the devil’s deceitful ways. I have been falling for these lately and need to rely on the strength of the Holy Spirit! I first go to your verse of the day each morning. God’s Word is such a blessing in this fallen world!

  84. Vicki Childs says:

Wonderful post today Tania! I love your Sunday messages. Thank you!

  87. Amen amen. What a beautiful post God bless you and your family.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻💜

  88. Don’t worry about the tasteless comments. My grandmother always used to say, “Birds always peck at the very best fruit.” Keep going with your Sunday morning posts.

    1. Betty Cox says:

      I love your Grandma’s saying🥰

  89. hi, Tania,
Bless you for blessing your followers with God’s word and encouragement on Sundays! I always love reading your posts about faith. I follow some other Bible teachers, yes,but I love your outlook for it’s real life message. Keep it going !! Gara

  90. Krista Harendt Rogers says:

Whomever made that nasty comment to you was working FOR THE DEVIL. Don’t you let anything set in from that. I love your blog in general, but Sundays…..GURL, that is your day. It is the day you open your heart and let God come through on your work and even work against the devil. You keep that up and dont let anyone tell you different. Honestly, even though I love me some good fashion, Sunday is my favorite day of your blog.

Please keep asking the content peoples up above to fix this blog so i get some notification of your (or anyones) reply…..

    1. Krista, I know there used to be a box you could check to be notified of comments. It might have been only if someone comments to your comment. I’m not sure. You will have to be like me mom and log back in at night just to read the comments. Lol!

  91. Thank you for your posts. You are doing the Lord’s work in your own special way.

  92. stephanie weeks says:

Great reminder. Thanks for sharing your faith.

  93. Thank you so much Tania!
    Again.. a very good post.
    Thank you so much.

  94. I love your Sunday posts. Keep them coming. Have a wonderful day and feel better soon.

  95. Karen Johnson says:

I absolutely love your Sunday posts. As a Christian I find your Sunday posts to be so helpful to start the week. Thank you for taking Sunday as a day of rest

  96. I love your posts! You had me at “fashion” and you kept me at “God.” It’s so refreshing to hear God’s truth on a site like yours…fashion! We need to incorporate God into ALL ways of our lives, as he blesses us when we do. You are a sweet blessing to your readers and I thank you for that. The devil is real and if anyone does not believe that, then they are fair game for him.
Hosea 4:6 My people will perish for lack of knowledge…

  97. May God continue to bless you as you stand firm in your faith!

  98. God is real! Thanks for the Sunday morning posts. I love fashion but it too can become “too” important. Thank you.

  99. Denise Legendre says:

I for one do read your posts for fashion and religion! You are brave during a time many are not. Today’s post was especially helpful. Thank you!

  100. Donna Jacobs says:

I enjoy your Sunday posts and this one resonated with me. The devil knows our insecurities and preys on them. Thank you for sharing the Word every Sunday.

  101. Beautifully said. And stay strong because people on social media can be ugly. You stay the kind and beautiful person and God loving person you are. 🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼 Have a blessed week.

  102. Roni Snow says:

Actually, I continue to follow you BECAUSE of your Sunday posts. Keep going, Sister! Praise the Lord!

  103. Hi Tania…I enjoy reading your posts every day especially on Sunday! I can relate to what you are saying. That is why I love this scripture –
    Ephesians 6:13
Put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground.

  104. You encourage me because you are out there in a public forum and a Christian. I happened across your website because of the fashion, but stayed because you are a Christian and write publicly about the Christian life. Your fashion posts are also wonderful – I wish I could be every outfit you post! Be encouraged and keep it up! If God is with you, who can be against you?

  105. I always look forward to your Sunday devotional. Please don’t let negative comments deter you. I started following you for your affordable fashion, your Sunday devotion is such a wonderful bonus.

  106. Pam Tuggy says:

I’m almost 75. I’m a missionary kid. And a retired missionary. I have a degree in Biblical Education. But I don’t “know it all.” Sometimes God uses your words to remind me of what He wants me to know in the circumstances I’m in on a particular day. He gives us words when we need them, and we may not ever know how he will use those words in someone else’s life. Your ideas about putting together an outfit caught my eye, and I began to follow you because of the verse of the day. Thank you. Keep on keeping on.

    1. Pam, you sound like the one who should be writing these posts instead of me. It is funny how the Lord will pick someone to do His work, especially when they aren’t qualified. Maybe, that is the reason.

  107. Dee Confer says:

Thank you. You may not be a “ professional “ but your words touched me today. Doubt does creep in, and in our world today, the devil is working hard to keep us quiet. We’re being told to not offend, not make waves and shut up. I say, “you go girl. You are a tiny light in a dark night and today your light reached me and lit my candle, too”.

  108. Jody Youngbauer says:

    You could be a writer!
I love your stories everyday as much as I love your fashions. Always great.
Thank you for what you do.

  109. Eva Ellis says:

Thank you for your Sunday posts. I appreciate the effort and enjoy these each week. I might not read all of your other posts but try to log in on Sundays.

  110. Good Sunday morning. I rarely post, but felt I must this morning. I LOVE your Sunday posts. They never fail to inspire me and make me think. I cannot tell you how many times I have read them out loud to my hubby. I always feel closer to God after reading and thinking about them. It helps me start the day with God’s goodness and peace in my heart. You give me God’s message in a way I can apply it in my everyday life, that is a special gift. Thank you! Ignore those who can’t feel your message in their hearts because many of us do.

    1. Alice, I’m so glad you decided to comment! I love that you read some of my posts to your hubby!!!

  111. As another person commented, I too followed you for the fashion. But your Sunday posts is what made me not want to leave. Your inspirational message allows me to start my week on a positive note. I couldn’t ask for anything better!

  112. That was a wonderful post! Thank you for sharing!! Keep up the good work! God uses the unqualified the most!!! 🙂

  113. Maria Zenk says:

You write very well with your Sunday posts. I am a Christian and I appreciate reading your Sunday blogs just as much as your daily fashion blogs. Thank you for today’s message. Timeless and much needed reminder especially in this day. Have a Blessed Sunday!

  114. How true is this. We must place our trust in God, he is the one who has the plan for us.
If we place our trust in God and believe, we will overcome the hardships that are dealt
our way in life. You are such a inspiration to many. Thank you!

  115. I too started paying attention because of fashion but when I started to notice the Sunday blogs, I signed up. They are so good. I realize you say that you have no intention of compiling them into a devotional, but I hope someone whom you love and trust with influence in your life sees and points out your gift. have a wonderful Sunday.

    1. Glenda, my sister asked me today about putting out a devotional.

  116. I found you because of your fashion advice on Pinterest, I stay because of you sharing your faith! Keep fighting!

  117. Anne C Sewell says:

Thank you for this. May you also have a blessed day.

  118. Cheri McDermott says:

I love what you do, and I did sign up for your emails because of the Bible verses you share. Thank you for sharing this today!

  119. I always enjoy your post, & even more how you take a stand on the Christian faith!
    Keep on keeping on!

  120. I love your Sunday post. Please don’t stop. I look forward to seeing them. Thank you

  121. Amy McFarland says:

I love your Sunday posts! It is so refreshing to see you sharing the gospel. God has given you this platform and you honor him well☺️

  122. Julie Johnson says:

    Tania,

Keep on keeping on. You are a child of the one true God, the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This qualifies you to post a Sunday devotional! The Holy Spirit inspires us to write the words, we are just His instrument. I love your Sunday posts!

  123. You are doing a good thing, Tania, by putting your faith out, publicly, & being a witness of God’s glory.
I respect you for your fashion talents as well as your faith. You are right- we all get hurt & hurt others- whether we mean to or not. Meaningful topic.
God bless you & your family. You are a beautiful person. Keep your Sunday posts ‼️❤️

    1. Thanks, Georgia. While we try not to hurt others, it happens.

  124. Pamela J Vreeland says:

Thanks for this post and please continue with “Sunday Posts!” I need the encouragement and affirmation, it’s not just me.

  125. Your Sunday posts are one of the reasons I continue to follow you. Sure, I like your fashion posts, but your Sunday posts are the real deal. Thanks for doing them and resisting the devil.

  126. Mary Kinard says:

I love your Sunday posts! As others have said, I started following you for fashion but stayed because you are a Christian. Great post today!

  127. Joyce Ramsay says:

I live in a remote dessert town with no Protestant church, so your reminders that God is real and in my life is a huge comfort to me. I used to give the message in the little church in the small town where I used to live and I know I was under enemy attack. Once you go public with your beliefs, then Satan sees that as an opportunity to reinforce the disbelievers and add to them if he can. Thanks to some older Christian heads, I was made aware of this possibility and yes, I was able to see it straight away for what it was – a faith killer. Keep up your good work and may you also recognise Satan immediately in the many forms he can take.

    1. Joyce, the devil knows the names of those who love the Lord. He is not concerned about those who don’t.

  128. Nikki Lucas says:

Happy Sunday to u from Perryville Ky! I just wanted to tell u how much I enjoyed this post! I always love reading your daily blogs.. but I always look forward to your Sunday ones. U are a blessing to so many through your blog! Today’s might be my favorite one so far. So.. u keep on fighting the good fight! As will I! Good bless u!

    1. Thanks, Nikki! When we all bond together, it is harder for the devil to attack us.

  129. Connie Watson says:

Fabulous post! Satan is a liar who wants nothing more than to separate is from eternal life and steal out joy on this Earth. Put on the full amour of God as the battle is real ladies!

  130. I look forward to the Sunday posts for the devotion. I share them with my mother and we talk further on the subjects. I wish you could post one daily instead of just Sunday. Thank you for them. God bless.

  131. I always receive a powerful reminder reading your Sunday posts. I originally signed up because of the fashion but have found the Sunday posts to be very inspiring. I always look forward to them.

  132. Your faith post this morning is a great reminder of how the evil one does his work. I believe that the Holy Spirit is speaking through you; your Sunday posts are always so good!
Like others, I began to follow you because I enjoyed your fashion posts, but when I needed to stop reading so many blogs about clothing and lifestyle, you were one of the bloggers that I stayed with because of your Sunday devotional (and of course that you are a Christian). Thank you for all that you do for your readers.

  133. I don’t believe I have ever written a reply to any posts I’ve ever read, but your weekly spiritual posts are not only beautiful, they’re inspirational. Your posts rival many of the weekly homilies I have heard at Sunday Mass, which, in my opinion, makes you very qualified to share your thoughts. Thank you for taking the time to share some inspiration, and I wish you a Blessed Day!

    1. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. It is encouraging to know that you enjoy my Sunday posts.

  134. Shirley Forester says:

Thank you for this article. The evil one is always after me.

  135. Sandra Dunlap Ellison says:

Amen! I love your Sunday posts. They are clear and thoughtful and bring glory to God. Keep it up and happy Sunday!

  136. I look forward to your Sunday posts so don’t stop! Today’s message is timely – I have been struggling with whether or not my art is worth doing. The devil has been attacking me with all the lies “ you can’t make money from art” “ no one is buying so you mustn’t be very good, on the wrong track, etc.” That’s when I need to remember my worth is not in what I do but who I am and I am a daughter of the King! Thank you for reinforcing what the Father’s been whispering to me.
    Thankful for you,
    Cecilia

    1. Cecilia, the devil never has anything good to say. He is a negative nelly who wants to bring people down. The Lord is an encourager who wants to uplift people.

  137. Carol Ann Jablonski says:

I usually check to see if the Bible verse you post for the day is the same one I read from the Bible app on my phone. If it’s one I read the day or days before, I always figure that it was meant to grab my attention. Thank you.

  138. I LOVE your Sunday posts!

  139. Barbara Caster says:

I go thru my email and delete almost everything except yours without reading. Read everyday. And today’s, as every Sunday’s, is special. Love them—everything doesn’t have to be about the money, right. I do believe the Devil’s influence is real in world today—look how he is out out worshipped in film and entertainment! We need people like you front and center on the other side! Thank you! And you always look beautiful! So enjoy your daily postings, that I actively look for each morning and Sunday morning too! thank you!

  140. Shirley Kongs says:

Thank you Tania! Your posts are heart warming! Therefore you are now qualified! Get well soon gurl❣️

  141. I just recently signed up for your emails…I enjoy reading them. Don’t change. the 💖☀️

  142. Thank you Tania. I enjoy both your fashion blog and your Sunday devotional messages. You are a part of my morning routine. Coffee, Wordle and Tania. TY!!

  143. Well said, Tania. You keep doing what you’re doing. Love your Sunday posts. They always resonate with me and give me something to think about.

  144. Beverly Hart says:

Well said. Please, please, keep sharing posts like this. As Christians, we must speak up!

  145. Vicki Farrell says:

I throughly enjoy your Sunday posts (and all the others too). Your words challenge and inspire me. Thank you

  146. I look forward to your Sunday posts. I actually admire the fact that you are “not qualified” ~ it gives me hope for myself. So, thank you for your Sunday posts!

  147. Beautifully written, Tania. As a Christian myself, I couldn’t agree more. Satan is always prowling around like a lion. As far as your post about God’s math, I thought it was so thoughtful, that I saved it. Keep the faith.

  148. Keep writing your Sunday posts, I enjoy them as I’m sure many others do, too.

  149. I follow you for your fashion and beauty posts but I stayed with you and Cyndi Spivey because I know you are women of faith and I enjoy those encouraging posts and daily Bible verses just as much. 😊 Blessings on your day! Hope you feel better soon.

  150. Susan Beckham says:

Love this and it is so true!! The devil wants a foothold on us and is always looking for a way. I love your post and your fashion!

    Susan Beckham

  151. Thank you, thank you for these Sunday posts. God is truth and so are your posts.
Today’s post made me look differently at why I sin and how I can dissect to get a clearer picture of why. What am I attempting to gain from that sinful behavior? How can I avoid repeating the same behavior?
Personally, I’m thankful for and look forward to your Sunday posts. You don’t need to be a biblical scholar to love God…..you just need faith. 💗 Keep up your great work. I for one admire your strength and faith.

  152. Linda Murphy says:

Hi, that is one of the reasons I like your blog. It is honest, candid, fun, and has christian oriented or bible quotes sprinkled in it. Enjoy your day!

  153. Lisa Luciano says:

That’s one thing that caught my attention about your blog, and one thing I love — your desire to give God glory. I like fashion, but it doesn’t compare to how much I love (and want to love more) my Creator and the Christ who died for me. Thank you for using your platform to give glory to God, and to encourage us to keep fighting. Nasty comments and mocking questions are sharp but they are weak and feeble little arrows that bounce off the armor that we wear victoriously in Christ.❤️

    1. Lisa, this comment made me smile. From now on, whenever I get a snide comment, I envision a feeble little arrow bouncing off me.

  154. Imagine how unhappy and empty the person who posted that hateful comment must be!
Keep shining your light and sharing the faith Tania ❤️

  155. Alanna Woodfin says:

Press on in the good fight! I appreciate your boldness!

  156. helen heffernan says:

I always read your Sunday post before going to church. Just puts me in the right frame of mind to hear God’s word at church. Thank you for your excellent Sunday posts! Have a blessed Sunday and a blessed week. Now I best get ready for church. Thank you for arming me in God’s word!

  157. Never doubt yourself on your Sunday posts!!! You have a gift with words that translates Verses and messages into every day, relatable experiences. I make a point to read your Sunday posts every week. They are my favorite.

  158. Thanks Tania. Your words always inspire me. Keep up your good work 😊

  159. Kay Sapienza says:

Thank you. I enjoy your Sunday posts I agree we all have self doubt and that leaves an opening for the devil to plant his seeds. keep up your posts because even if they help just a few, those are worth it. You can never know for sure how many people you help and that isn’t what you are you are about
That is what I love about you.

    sincerely.
    Kay Sapienza

  160. Yes, we must put on the armor of God and tell the devil to get behind us!!
God will never leave us nor forsake us!
    Thank you, Jesus!
    Blessings,

  161. Thank you thank you for this wonderful Sunday post. When I read it early this morning I knew that despite everything that has happened in the world lately , there is hope and love in abundance that is present in all of our lives. Too often we are bombarded with negativity… your sweet words strengthen my heart that there is such good in this world if we only follow the words of Our Lord and Savior. God bless you and all your readers… and keep up the good fashion posts!

  162. We are all called to bear witness to God’s love and glory and you express that each week in a post I, for one, look forward to reading. Today’s post is beautifully written and right on point with what is going on in the world today. Thank-you for continuing to leave us with uplifting and thought provoking words and scriptures. To God goes the glory indeed!

  163. Amen. Love your posts. My sister reads your blog and I hope she will click and read one of your faith posts to plant that tiny little mustard seed in her head

    1. I am always thinking about planting a seed in someone. Hopefully, she will read your comment and know your concern for her.

  164. Kelly Smith says:

    Tania,
That was a very beautiful Sunday post! God is good! He is our Heavenly Father! He will never leave us nor foresake us! Put simply “ God is good all the time!

Never let Satan make you feel unimportant! Your Sunday post is very inspiring, thoughtful and kind. You have a beautiful heart for God! Thank you for all you do!

    Kelly Smith

  165. I followed you after a friend sent me a post you wrote about the 40th day that spoke to her. I started following you then not because of your fashion posts, although I do look at them for ideas!!

    1. I remember that post. Be sure to thank your friend for me!

  166. Kathy Ambrosi says:

it’s very sad when people attack because of your faith. I followed you originally for fashion but I do also appreciate the weekly faith based post. thank you Tania

  167. Amen Sister….stay the course..🙏❣️🙏❣️🙏

  168. Thank you for your Sunday posts Tania.

  169. Thank you for being an example of how to stand unashamedly for your faith in this world today. Be blessed.

  170. Joyce Van Koevering says:

I look forward to your Sunday posts. You are a God fearing gal who loves the Lord and never be afraid to say it here in your posts. You will be blessed and rewarded!!!! Keep up the good writing about Gods word!!!!

  171. Gail Harrison says:

    Good morning Tania!
I always look forward to your posts with scripture’s! They are always so “timely”! You have a beautiful Christian heart and are always a blessing!
    Thank you Tania!
Thank you for making shopping easier for us, and showing us affordable and beautiful things for our fashion and homes…you are a treasure! I hope you feel better very soon!
    Gail

  172. Jennifer Clerval says:

I look forward to your Sunday posts. Please don’t doubt yourself. You are making others think and reflect. Whether I agree with your beliefs or not, I am always made to reflect on my life and my own spiritual journey. There is only ONE expert on the subject. It is all of HIS followers jobs to spread HIS word and message. You do that perfectly!

  173. Amen Tania!!! Amen…..you keep fighting the good fight and don’t give up (Galatians 6:9) You are definitely planting seeds and spreading God’s word.
    Enjoy your Sunday.
    ~Lisa~

  174. I love your Sunday posts and frankly by Sunday I’m a wee been burned out with fashion. Your posts are like talking to a friend about our faith – don’t stop, please.

  175. I love your blog, but the Sunday posts are what I look forward to the most. I have even saved several of them in a folder that I re-read when I need inspiration and guidance. Thank you!😊

  176. Brenda McElroy says:

Love your fashion and how you use it to point others to our great God! Eph 3:20

  177. I always love the Sunday posts, don’t ever doubt you are encouraging your readers each week to follow Jesus and they are well written and give us hope!

  178. Nancy Steinke says:

I look forward to your Sunday posts. I get more from them than I do my priest at mass. The devil is indeed sly and devious. Christians are especially a target in today’s sinful society. He is not even hiding anymore. Wear that target like a badge of honor. God wins in the end.

  179. Instead of His is good in my comment. It should say God is good.

  180. I personally love your Sunday posts and am inspired by them!

  181. Keep making the devil mad! His is good and you are His good and faithful servant because you are doing what He is leading you to do. Have a blessed day.

  182. Keep on writing. Keep on writing truth. Keep on being real and authentic in a time when truth is attacked at every level.
    Be blessed all the more.
    Say it. Keep saying it.
    Nancy

  183. I love your Sunday posts! Satan does try through all those negative comments but never give them place. Be the light! ❤

    1. Krista Harendt Rogers says:

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5
      AMEN

  184. Tania Bible says:

Absolutely amazing. I enjoy your posts about our Lord. Thank you and God Bless You

  185. Tanya,
I actually started to follow you because of your fashion, but continued to follow you because you are a Christian. I am often inspired or encouraged by your thoughts in your Sunday posts. God looks at the heart. The fact that you are willing to give up any benefit from posting fashion links to serve the Lord with His Word and your testimony shows that you are faithful to His call on your life to be light and salt. God honors those who honor Him.
Thank you and blessings for a wonderful day!

  186. Susan Moore says:

I don’t think that you have written a better devotional Than the 1 today. I started Following you For fashion But I’ve stayed with you Because of your Sunday posts. I like your fashion However I was reading too much on line and had to decide what to keep you won because of Sunday posts. A few years ago you wrote one about Jesus decent Into hell I had never heard of it before and he assured me you were right and to keep following you. I hope this helps with encouragement you may need at this time.

    1. Wow, Susan. I had forgotten about that post. Thanks for reminding me.

    2. I started to follow you because of your fashion and you stated you are a Christian. Your Sunday posts are proof that you are devoted to God and put Him first. Stay the course, because as much as you’re blessing others, you are being blessed as well.

    3. Krista Harendt Rogers says:

Someone get this girl a pulpit and a mic…..

I love that you remembered a favorite post and kept it close in your heart. I like to think God has our favorite things we’ve done for him that he keeps close in his heart too(even though mine might be a little off the rails….he loves me just the same).
I know you said you’ve been here for a few years, but welcome just the same. Welcome to not just a group of fashion loving GURLS, but to a group of God loving WOMEN!

  187. Martha Cole says:

Thank you for this post. Please keep your Sunday post up. You know what is really important.

    1. I agree with the other comments today! While I read your daily blogs, I love your Sunday posts! Those are the ones I save and go back to throughout the week. I appreciate your perspective and your real life approach! Please know that you are a true blessing to this believer! God bless 🙏

      1. Tania, I agree with Lauren and all the ladies. I started following you because a good friend and shopping buddy recommended you. We love your humor, fashion sense and how REAL you are, but most of all because you share your faith. Do not be deterred! We love your Sunday posts 🥰🙏
