Welcome to the weekend! It is time to sit back and relax for just a few minutes. Grab an extra cup of coffee, enjoy reading the blog for a few minutes, and close your eyes and listen to the birds singing. In other words, just chill. Then, you can start your day off with the correct mindset before LIFE starts getting in the way. Maybe your agenda calls for grocery shopping, laundry, vacuuming the house, or running errands. Those chores will still be waiting for you, but for now, let’s just sit and talk about this weekend style look that I think is both casual and dressy.

Unless there is some huge event going on, you will usually find me in jeans or leggings. Jeans have been my choice lately, and I usually pair them with a sweatshirt, t-shirt, or a comfy oversized top. You’ve probably seen my posts on taking loungewear to the next level, but if not, then you need to check out FROM THE COUCH TO WORK IN A FEW EASY STEPS and WHAT IS LUXE LOUNGEWEAR AND WHY DO YOU NEED IT. Those outfits will have you relaxing in comfort and style!

This soft yellow argyle sweater is gorgeous! I am not normally someone who is drawn to yellow even though I think it is a beautiful color. But, this year, I keep finding myself hitting ADD TO CART yellow items. One of my favorite looks this entire year was a yellow sweater from Banana Republic that I wore last month. With this sweater, I loved the shorter cropped style that is great for wearing with the high-waisted jeans that are trending.

I’ve always loved it when a sweater has a large ribbing at the hem to help create a blouson effect. I also love the boat-neck design of this sweater since it helps me to create curves. The boat-neck style gives the appearance of wider shoulders which makes my waist look smaller. I am wearing a medium in this sweater and it fits great! Ann Taylor is having a huge 40% off sale on New Arrivals until April 3rd, and this sweater is 40% OFF! USE CODE: INBLOOM

See, I told you that this was a beautiful sweater. All of the items from this post linked for you below.

You can see that the sweater is not very long in the back since it is a cropped style. As long as it doesn’t show my belly, I am fine with the length.

I have styled this neutral camel handbag before, and I saw that a bunch of you took advantage of the sale and purchased it. This is a great medium size tote, and the leather is very soft and subtle. Unfortunately, so many of you purchased it that it is now out of stock. I think that it will be restocked soon, but I’ll link to some similar bags just in case it isn’t.

Chico’s is having a Chic In Bloom sale with 40% off select styles.

I know, I know… a lot of you are rolling your eyes at me for wearing these distressed jeans. It is just a small slit in the jeans, and it hardly even shows up unless you bend your knee a lot. How many of you walk around with your knee bent like this? Lol! But, in the long run, it doesn’t matter if you liked these jeans or not since they are sold out also. I sure wish these retailers would have more inventory, it is frustrating for you and me both when they are all sold out.

I could just sit here and pout about the jeans being sold out. But, instead, I found you some similar ones that I think you will like, and they ARE in stock right now. I am not guaranteeing anything though, that might have changed by the time some of you read this. There are so many sales going on right now that the clothing is flying off the shelves.

I always add earrings with my casual outfits, but not much else. My gold tone large AVI hoops go with everything, and I love that they make a statement all by themselves. The last thing that I added to the outfit is my neutral Steve Madden loafers. These will go with anything, and I’ll be wearing them all spring, summer, and fall. I know that they were limited in size the last time that I looked, but let me see what I can find for you.

This is the last week for me to celebrate Joe’s Birthday. He told me that I couldn’t make a big deal out of his birthday. I don’t think that announcing for the entire world to see is making a big deal. Lol! So, randomly, each week, I am going to pick a winner for a gift. The gifts will vary in size and price, and I will pick the winner from the comments that I receive during the week.

This week’s winner is…..Vicki!!! Keep commenting, and you might be next week’s winner.

If you have not signed up, JUST DO IT ALREADY!!!

What is your hesitation???

  6. Love seeing ways to change up my wardrobe and think outside the box. I must say jeans and leggings are my go to items, I’m always comfortable in them. Now that I’m retired I don’t see a need to purchase dressy clothes left to sit in the closet! A few basics are all you need! Thank you for making us all feel beautiful..even in comfy clothes!

  8. Love this outfit, especially the yellow sweater. I see you wear a lot of cropped jeans. I am 5 3″ and worry that wider legged crop jeans will make me look short. I don’t wear heels. Should I avoid wide legged jeans/pants?

  9. Darling sweater today. I am also not a huge yellow person for clothing but found myself ordering the yellow cableknit BR Sweater. I waited for a sale & the M was gone. Tried the L and it’s fine, not oversized at all. Very classy! I usually wear your size but thought I’d give it a try and glad I did. I’ll be wearing on Easter for our family egg hunt. Blessed Easter.

I LOVE the yellow sweater, and I love you in it! You look GREAT in yellow. I adored the last yellow sweater you wore too. (I see it again today). I picture today’s sweater with white jeans or slim bermuda shorts. Sadly, I cannot wear anything acrylic, but now I will be searching for something similar. Happy Easter Tania!

    1. Goodness, I bet it is hard finding things that don’t have acrylic.

Tania, I have recently joined and read your blog everyday. You are so cute and love your style. I’m about the same size as you but with more belly and add a few more years so I can relate to your pictures.
