Today I got to try out my sherpa jacket, and here is why. Most mornings, Joe will get wake up before me, and he heads to grab a cup of coffee and then read the news. I might wake up as he is getting out of the bed, but I love to snuggle back down in the covers and grab some extra Zzzzzs. Saturday morning, he came back into the bedroom and asked, “are you awake?” “Get up; you are not going to believe this!” I got out of bed, thinking that something had happened in the news that he wanted me to see, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it was something different. It was snowing; big, huge, fluffy snowflakes were falling from the sky.

We don’t get a huge amount of snow, so it is a treat for me when it snows. I grabbed my phone and tried to grab a video of the snow before it had time to quit. If you follow me on Instagram (you totally should be), then you will see that I uploaded that video in my “stories.” Joe came into my office to watch me video the snow and wanted me to go outside to film it. Uh, no, it is cold and snowy, and I am in my PJs. He gave me that look; you know the one, it said that I was a wimp. Then, he went outside and did his own video of the snow. The thought of locking the door behind him ran through my mind, but only for a second. Lol!!!

I couldn’t wait to get dressed and take some snowy days photos for all of you. You know that I love soft items next to my skin, so I put on an ivory turtleneck cashmere sweater. I am wild about cashmere, but I know that some of you have mentioned that you can’t wear it. I’ll link to some similar options below to give everyone the ability to create this look. This sweater is lightweight, so you might want to wear a camisole under it, or maybe some shapewear. I always wear a nude bra (this is what I have on) so that you can’t see it as easily when wearing thin tops. If you need help with getting the correct bra size, here is a post that I did that will be helpful.

I am wearing a size medium in the cashmere sweater, and that size seems to fit me great. The sizes are limited in this sweater, but there are a few other color choices, so be sure to check out the link. The sweater is under $40.00, so that might be why it is selling out so fast.

Sherpa Moto Jacket

Bad news, this sherpa moto jacket is down to XS size only. (UPDATE, it sold out completely while I was typing this post.) I almost didn’t post the photos, but then I decided that you might want to see them. Even though the majority of us might not be that exact size, I might be able to show some similar moto jackets that will work. When I got this sherpa jacket, I wasn’t that thrilled with it. But then I put the jacket on, and I fell in love with it!

I love the way this moto jacket fit, and the beautiful neutral color of the jacket was something that I knew I could wear with anything. However, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to keep the jacket clean, and I ended up sending it back. Looking at these photos makes me almost cry since the jacket looks so great, and the sherpa was soooo warm. UGH!!! I am aggravated at myself! I’ll certainly be on the lookout for a similar jacket. Comment if you would like to see me order any of the ones I am linking to below.

Yes, I did order in a couple of pairs of UGG boots. I understand why everyone is crazy over these boots. They are very comfortable, super warm, and they aren’t heavy at all. I’m still warming up to the “style,” but I admit that the comfort level and warmth might win me over. I am wearing my usual size 9 in these boots, and they fit me great. I even have room for socks if I wanted to add them. This is the UGG Classic II Genuine Sheepskin short boot. The short boots seem to be more in style right now, especially among the younger girls. One of the big trends is wearing a pair of leggings and an oversized sweater with these boots, which is an adorable look.

I usually wear a pair of skinny jeans anytime that I have to tuck them inside a boot. It is much easier since you don’t have to worry about the extra material at the hem. I am wearing the Farrah distressed hem jeans that I just bought, but any skinny jeans would work. I wear a size 31 in these jeans, and they are on sale for 55% off. Here are a few more of my favorite skinny jeans; maybe you will find one that suits your fancy.

Before I forget, I am wearing my AVI gold large hoop earrings and the Reid mother of pearl long necklace. I wanted to add some jewelry, but I didn’t want it competing for attention.

Love reading your posts. I am looking for a product that really works on the neck. Saw you may have a R&F product but cannot figure out how to order? Thank you.

  2. Great outfit.
    How lovely to get snow.

  3. Oh the jacket is beautiful! Where I live is too warm, so it’s easy to resist (thank goodness)!

  4. What a cute and cozy outfit. And thanks for showing it from the back. It’s good to know I’m not the only one who doesn’t know how to use Pinterest. I browse for different things but that’s just about it. As for Instagram, I don’t use it as I’ve got too much going on to make time for it.

  5. Love the jacket and your outfit today, Tania. Unfortunately, here in Scottsdale, AZ I would not be able to wear it much. It’s been in the mid 70’s here all week. Lol. I would love to see a tutorial on Pinterest. I have an account, and sometimes go looking for ideas there, but so often I feel like I am going down a rabbit hole because I really don’t understand how to use or manage Pinterest.

You look great in that jacket. The whole combo looks great with your coloring and hair. That sweater is great for the money! What’s not to like about Cashmere, right?

  7. I love the whole outfit! Would love to wear a similar one if it wasn’t sold out. Tutorials are my favorite posts, please do more but prefer them here on your blog instead of social sites.

  8. You look amazing in that outfit! Couldn’t wear it much in California, we’ve been in the 70’s for the past week, and no rain!! In your climate, I’d have kept that beautiful jacket. Love Ugg boots for cold mornings.

  9. you look great! Do you have a regular routine for exercise ? I am envious of your snowfall !!! Living in North east Florida it has been years since I have seen even flurries.

  10. Either or both tutorials. I use Pinterest almost daily and have Instagram but have not figured it out but I do follow others and see their main pics. Love your look today. It snowed here too.

What a fabulous outfit! You look terrific!

  12. Love this whole outfit on you too and I can see why you are upset you sent it back. I especially love the color of it and I think if you pick and choose where you wear this type of coat it wouldn’t get very dirty? We had a visibility blizzard on Friday and most everything was closed…would much rather of had large fluffy snowflakes! A tutorial for Pinterest would be interesting. I’m not on Instagram as just don’t want one more thing that will distract me from getting things done around home…LOL

  13. I absolutely love the jacket. Where did you get it. Please list the store where you purchased it, even though it’s sold out. Thank you.

    1. Sorry, Janie, the jacket was from Ann Taylor.
