HOW TO STYLISHLY WEAR TIE DYE AFTER 40
Who’s ready to stylishly wear some tie-dye? I am! What a week! I am ready to put my feet up and take a much-deserved break. That probably won’t happen, but I am ready for it. I’ve been talking to all of you about your goals for the year, and I have some for myself also. I have taken the strategy of writing down the goals, telling someone about the goals, breaking the goals up into smaller bite-size chunks, getting an accountability partner, and invested in trainings, tools, and courses. If you are serious about reaching your goals, then you have to act like it.
Some of you have mentioned that it looks like I am losing weight. That is one of my goals, and yes, I have enlisted help in this area. You’ll all hear about it if it is a success and easy to do. Obviously, I like to know that something works before I tell you all about it. I have also invested back in my blogging business, and I am taking some training and programs to help me navigate this arena. I have done all that I can on my own, so now I am serious about finding ways to improve my workflow.
Time management and organization is a huge part, and hopefully, this program will get me lined out so that I am not sitting in front of a computer 10-15 hours a day. That is not an exaggeration! Most of my issues are because I have a Squirrel brain easily distracted by bright and shiny objects. I hear the ding of my computer or see the number rise on my email notifications, and it drives me bonkers until I see what just came in. Then I forget what I was doing, and I wasted time doing something that wasn’t a priority. I’ll also share any tips and tricks that I learn if they work. You can teach an old dog new tricks and a blogger who has a squirrel brain too.
On the phone, probably with my sister, AirPods in my ear, house slippers on, and answering an email. This is my typical Saturday look. I thought it would be fun for you to see the “real” me, instead of me putting the phone down and smiling pretty for the photo.
The Stylish Way to Wear Tie-Dye
I am partial to tie-dye prints, and this color combination immediately grabbed my eye. It is perfect for curing the winter blahs, and it will be great to wear this spring. This tie-dye sweatshirt is lightweight, so this is not for the colder regions in the winter months. But, it is perfect for lounging around the house or running a few errands, and you will look cute and comfy at the same time. The website said that the sweatshirt had an oversized fit, so I ordered a medium. The medium fits me, but I would not say it is oversized on me. I would rather have a large so that I can get the oversized look and fit.
I love this sweatshirt, but I find it very pricey. Let me see if I can find some sweatshirts that are just as cute but way more budget-friendly. BTW, tie-dye doesn’t have to be bright and colorful, it can also be monochromatic or neutral colored. Check out this post to see what I mean.
Some Saturdays I wear leggings, but you will find me in a pair of comfortable jeans most of the time. I love this pair of fly-front jeggings because they fit nicely, look great, and they don’t cut into my waist. The fact that they are still on sale for an amazing price doesn’t hurt either.
I am 5’6″ tall, and I weigh between 155-165 at any given time. Normally I wear a size 10 or a 30, depending on how they do the sizing. In Chico’s sizes, I wear a .5 in jeans and pants, so you will need to take all of this into consideration if you have never bought jeans there before.
When I get ready to head out of the door, I will usually add a pair of earrings for jewelry. The AVI pair of hoop earrings from Kendra Scott was my first purchase, and I still wear them all of the time. I liked this pair so much that I bought another pair of these in the gold-tone color. They are huge and make a big statement; however, I don’t find them heavy.
And, I slip off my house slippers and put on a pair of sneakers. I decided to wear my Sperry sneakers with today’s look. I had to size down in these and order an 8 1/2 instead of my usual size 9. But, once I sized down, they fit me great. I hardly ever wear socks, but I bet that this look is freezing some of you. Lol!
My house slippers were from Rodan and Fields, but I will try to find you similar ones. The blue light glasses that I wear have a leopard print design frame. Since I work on the computer or scroll on my phone, I need to protect my eyes from the harmful blue light rays. If I am going to have to wear glasses, then they might as well be cute!

Psalms 46:1-3

Tania, I absolutely love the clothes that you show us. Many many times I go to the site excited to see if I can order only to realize that the price is just beyond my fixed budget budget. Are there sites/resources that you can show us that are a bit more reasonable for those of us on a fixed budget? Thank you
You give me pause.
I saw “how to wear tie dye” and thought, “I’m not interested in tie dye”, and then I see your outfit and think, “Boy, that is cute! I would wear that.”
I have thought the same thing with bright colors, argyle, etc. You really do make everything look good and make me consider things that I wouldn’t on my own!
$7.98 Sweatshirts in different colors over a tank or slim fit long sleeved shirt and $4.44 black leggings, from Wal Mart every year, is my go to outfit in the colder months. A pair of flats or booties and a cute jacket with a multi color scarf, and I’m ready for anything. Nice to see how you do casual and you do it very well. Good luck on your goals. I refresh my goals every morning, which keeps things in the forefront.
Tania your hair is just beautiful! I love the lighter blonde and a little more length. It looks fabulous!
I think you are looking great!!!
You are an encouragement in many ways 😁
Love everything about this look! Do you ever share your hair secrets? I’d love to know how you style it. I love how much volume your hair has. It always look so great!
Love the sweatshirt. The whole outfit is great. I wish I knew how to put my clothes together to make nice outfits. If you have any tips I would appreciate them.
Have a great weekend.
Love today’s look. I like it when you recognize that something is pricey and offer more affordable options.
I have always loved tie dye!
You definitely look like you are losing weight. Keep up the good work. Proud of you!
What a comfy Saturday look…I love everything about it. Those jeans do look comfy. I can’t wait to hear about the help you have enlisted to reach your weight loss goals and hope that is sooner rather than later. I like the idea of an accountability partner so I would also like to hear about what you and your partner do to help each other out….I think this is a good idea and it would also be fun to have a partner to help keep each other on track…I need to find me one of those 🙂 Have a great weekend.
