Whew, I made it just fine to NOLA and I am already starting to have fun. My flight down was smooth as silk and the weather was nice for several hours after I arrived. However, the storms set in later in the afternoon which was perfect since I needed a nap. Getting up at 4:00 am sure made for a long day and the nap was much appreciated. We were starving by the time we got checked into the hotel so we walked and walked and walked to go and find something to eat. This was great and I really loved my fig salad. My Energizer Bunny Friend was a little shocked when she got her food. She thought she was ordering a shrimp cocktail and was not prepared for it to be “looking” back at her when it arrived. Lol!Pulling the heads, the legs, and the rest of the shell off was a first for her, LOL!!! I am off now to get dressed for a dinner tonight (I bet she doesn’t order shrimp) and my day will start very early again tomorrow. I hope to get lots of pictures to share with you later.

I knew that my days were going to make it hard to do a “traditional” blog post so I filmed a few videos for you instead.

Today, I am starting with a makeup tutorial on my fall eye makeup. I have blue eyes and I like to use plums, especially in the fall of the year. I am going to list the makeup brushes and the different shades of eyeshadows that I am using. Most of my makeup brushes are by Sigma. I made the plunge a couple years ago and bought a big set and finally got rid of all of the mismatched ones that I had forever. Brushes do make a difference even though I was slow to believe it. If you are ready to toss your old brushes and invest in some good quality brushes that will last you for a while then go here and see which set suits you best.

The ones that I am using today are the:

I like several eyeshadows from Makeup Geek. These are highly pigmented eyeshadows and they transfer to your eyes really well. The ones that I am using today are:

I use a Z Palette to hold all of my eyeshadows and blushes that have metal containers.

The remaining eyeshadows that I used were in a palette by Tarte. It is called the Tarlette Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette. And, I finished up the look with mascara by Stila called Huge Extreme Lash.

The last thing that I mentioned in the video was my makeup brush cleaning solution that I use. It is Cinema Secrets and I get it from Amazon. I order the large size because it takes quite a lot to clean a whole set of brushes.
