Want, Need, Wear, Read
Christmas is now upon us. If you don’t have all your shopping done, what are you waiting on??? Get out there, bite the bullet, get in gear, or just give cash. I’ve been thinking about something I wrote about a while back. You should give something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something to read.I have a hard time knowing the difference between want and need. I think the reason is, I don’t NEED anything. I feel extremely blessed that I am able to say that. Let me retract that, I need more grace, patience, empathy, and a stronger relationship with the Lord. I also need organization skills, cleaning and decorating skills, and a writing course. Those things don’t wrap very easy, and don’t fit under the tree. Want: Hunter boots, OTK boots, and a new laptop. One of those items is a real long shot. Haha  I will now get around to my outfit. Both of these tops are from Old Navy, and are at least a year old, if not older. I like the colors on the button up, but the sleeves are a little wonky. They are actually made to roll up, and they have a strap that hangs down inside the sleeve, to button them up. That is fine for summer, but when worn down, they are too large at the bottom. The cropped sweater is a gorgeous color, but because it is so thick, it can also make you look thick. At least this way, I can blame it on the sweater, and not on my body. LOL!Need: Lip stains, All-Nighter setting spray, and mascara. Funny how all my needs are makeup related. I have all these, but when I run out, I will need more. I also need a course in word-press and social media. Until then, I will just keep using my sister as my tech support.
Wear: Stella and Dot Sutton necklace, Casablanca necklace, and Spanx.  That list is pretty complete, but there is one category missing. Something to Read. You of course know that I am going to pick my sister’s book, but you didn’t know I was going to show you this picture….  My sister rocking her 1980’s hairdo, and her crazy husband rocking his scruffy beard-do. And you thought I was funny one. Hahaha
This is also something I WANT and NEED: Â I have added a subscription button to the blog, right under the recent posts tab. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to sign up. You will then be notified by email when a new post is made.

I am always stumped when someone asks “what do you want for Christmas/your birthday?” I have started to answer “A copy of YOUR favorite book.” 🙂
I love the layering here, what a lovely plaid blouse, looks great with the mustard yellow of the sweater. I hope you had a lovely Christmas! Have a happy New Year.

I thought of you today Tania. We have a country mall here that you would love. They have antiques, crafts but a lot of vintage jewelry. It’s really big so I am sure you would find something. I like what you said about needing more patience and a stronger walk with the Lord. I try to keep that as my priority. BTW you would have loved my grandma—she had a whole room for her hats and purses and gloves. She kept her hats in hat boxes and back then they also wore gloves to coordinate. She loved shopping and that’s what we did together so I guess I get it from her as well as loving hot fudge sundaes. 🙂
Oh, Sharon! Your grandmother and I would have had so much in common. It is so nice that you have these memories:)
I just recently found your blog and I am so glad I did!!! Your sense of style is amazing and I aspire to have a closet like yours! I need all the help I can get these days!LOL Thank you so much for starting this blog and for telling all of us where you can get everything. You are now my go-to girl when I need fashion advice. Merry Christmas!!!
Lol! Kim you make me nervous. I can not picture myself as a fashion inspiration.
I guess I needed some tech support when I tried to use Wordpress…. just could NOT figure it out, so have stayed with the Blogger platform. Sorry I can’t be of help to you… Kudos to your sister for being so kind and helping you. Does she have a blog also?
I subscribed to your blog. I love the outfit on you! You gave me a great idea for wearing my plaid shirt with a sweater I own. Thanks!!
I’ve learned never to ask or pray for patience. God has a sense of humor. I need to try that setting spray! Another great post.
Wow, if that all nighter spray works, I’m in! Have a very Merry Christmas, gurl!
Great oufit…no everyone can wear mustard successfully…you look fabulous! Your manicure shows up nicely.
Marsha, the All-nighter Setting Spray is a makeup spray. You put your make-up on, then spray your face with this spray. When you get home that afternoon, your make-up will look like it did that morning.
All nighter hairspray? Never heard of that…tell me more
Your blog has become my very favorite! I get so excited to see it in my email. I think if we lived closer, we would be fast friends! Merry Christmas!
How sweet, Pam. We will just have to be long distance, fast friends.???? Merry Christmas!
Ha!!!!! I’m loving those kitten Christmas sweaters. Too funny!!!!
Mustard is a great color on you, it’s very flattering and I don’t think a lot of people can wear that color so woohoo on that one!!
