WINDSHIELD AND THE BUG

Remember yesterday’s blog post? Remember me singing, “I Feel Good?” Well, forget that!!! Funny how the best part of your day can be before 9:00 am. I was still singing yesterday morning as I went to work but it didn’t take long before the day started taking its toll. It all started easy enough. I sat down at the computer to answer an email for the company and the stupid computer was beyond slow. I mean it was really slow, like molasses slow. I finally got frustrated and uninstalled some software which helped. The I got a couple emails from Plunder that informed me that two of my stylists had resigned. Oh well, I think they might have just wanted the jewelry and that was fine, no biggie. Then my Energizer Bunny Friend messaged me to say that my sales had gone up in Rodan and Fields. WooHoo! The day was looking better, NOT!!! When I went to my website the numbers were the very same that they had been when I left for work. She was confused because the numbers were different when she had looked just 10 minutes earlier. That kind of felt like the fisherman with the dollar bill. “Oh, you almost had it.” Lol! It keeps on going, next I opened an email and I had a consultant with Rodan and Fields (that just signed up two weeks ago) suddenly quit. She had gotten cold feet and froze. I believe in HIS timing so maybe this just isn’t the time. It took me a few minutes, okay more like 30, but I shook it off. The day had to get better, right? Let’s just go on to the blog post before I get depressed. ? How about this leopard print tunic? Do you remember seeing it before? I wore it (here) and oh my goodness, I like it so much better today. What do you gurls think? This just goes to show you how accessories can change the look of an outfit. Now for the tunic. I bought this at a new little boutique in town. I love this mock turtleneck swing top tunic. The leopard print is beyond cute and it certainly leaves an impression. This is a brand called Christian Caliendo.

I didn’t wear the big scarf today because I thought it was overpowering the last time I wore it. I want to be a little more springy so I went with the Plunder Posse from January. I thought this was the cutest necklace. Honestly, I am not always a fan of the Posse but I LOVED this one. I like gold-tone and the added ivory color is just perfect. Look at the little dangling arrows. Lol! I also put on my BELIEVE necklace with the rhinestone accents. The earrings are called Sloan. They are a dark charcoal gray raw cut stone encased in a gold-tone sleeve.
My bracelets are the Kari and the Bryan. The Kari is the leather cuff with the double ring of rhinestones. The Bryan was a Monday Madness special that of course is no longer available. It says “Be Still My Heart.” It is very lightweight and thin and the material is hairy. Does that make sense? Would you like one??? Here’s the deal. Just to make my day even better Plunder announced that they are giving a kit to their top 10 stylists for the month of February. Guess who is number 11? So, I am trying to raise my sales in order to win. The prize is not the huge, I am just that competitive. Lol!!! So, in addition to offering 15% off every order that is over $50.00 (excluding shipping and tax) I will be putting everyone who places an order today over 50.00 in a drawing for a free Bryan cuff. I had to open a new party because the last one had gone over the limit. The difference is that I wore boots in the other look and today I decided to wear my leopard print flats. These leopard flats are a pair that I bought last year at the overstock outlet. They are Isaac Mizrahi and they are hairy too. Lol!

I liked adding the pop-of-color to the outfit. I added hot pink to the outfit through my Vera Bradley purse. I could have added a bright pair of pumps instead and that would have been just as cute.

There are days when you are the windshield and then there are days when you are the bug. I was the bug today! BUT, I have always heard that the bug would say, “I’d do that again if I had the guts!” I’ve got the guts so today is a new day. I had a bad day, not a bad life.
