WINDSHIELD AND THE BUG
Remember yesterday’s blog post? Remember me singing, “I Feel Good?” Well, forget that!!! Funny how the best part of your day can be before 9:00 am. I was still singing yesterday morning as I went to work but it didn’t take long before the day started taking its toll. It all started easy enough. I sat down at the computer to answer an email for the company and the stupid computer was beyond slow. I mean it was really slow, like molasses slow. I finally got frustrated and uninstalled some software which helped. The I got a couple emails from Plunder that informed me that two of my stylists had resigned. Oh well, I think they might have just wanted the jewelry and that was fine, no biggie. Then my Energizer Bunny Friend messaged me to say that my sales had gone up in Rodan and Fields. WooHoo! The day was looking better, NOT!!! When I went to my website the numbers were the very same that they had been when I left for work. She was confused because the numbers were different when she had looked just 10 minutes earlier. That kind of felt like the fisherman with the dollar bill. “Oh, you almost had it.” Lol! It keeps on going, next I opened an email and I had a consultant with Rodan and Fields (that just signed up two weeks ago) suddenly quit. She had gotten cold feet and froze. I believe in HIS timing so maybe this just isn’t the time. It took me a few minutes, okay more like 30, but I shook it off. The day had to get better, right? Let’s just go on to the blog post before I get depressed. ? How about this leopard print tunic? Do you remember seeing it before? I wore it (here) and oh my goodness, I like it so much better today. What do you gurls think? This just goes to show you how accessories can change the look of an outfit. Now for the tunic. I bought this at a new little boutique in town. I love this mock turtleneck swing top tunic. The leopard print is beyond cute and it certainly leaves an impression. This is a brand called Christian Caliendo.
I didn’t wear the big scarf today because I thought it was overpowering the last time I wore it. I want to be a little more springy so I went with the Plunder Posse from January. I thought this was the cutest necklace. Honestly, I am not always a fan of the Posse but I LOVED this one. I like gold-tone and the added ivory color is just perfect. Look at the little dangling arrows. Lol! I also put on my BELIEVE necklace with the rhinestone accents. The earrings are called Sloan. They are a dark charcoal gray raw cut stone encased in a gold-tone sleeve.
My bracelets are the Kari and the Bryan. The Kari is the leather cuff with the double ring of rhinestones. The Bryan was a Monday Madness special that of course is no longer available. It says “Be Still My Heart.” It is very lightweight and thin and the material is hairy. Does that make sense? Would you like one??? Here’s the deal. Just to make my day even better Plunder announced that they are giving a kit to their top 10 stylists for the month of February. Guess who is number 11? So, I am trying to raise my sales in order to win. The prize is not the huge, I am just that competitive. Lol!!! So, in addition to offering 15% off every order that is over $50.00 (excluding shipping and tax) I will be putting everyone who places an order today over 50.00 in a drawing for a free Bryan cuff. I had to open a new party because the last one had gone over the limit. My new party is www.plunderdesign.com/party/tania2 I wore these same black leggings in the prior look. The difference is that I wore boots in the other look and today I decided to wear my leopard print flats. These leopard flats are a pair that I bought last year at the overstock outlet. They are Isaac Mizrahi and they are hairy too. Lol!
I liked adding the pop-of-color to the outfit. I added hot pink to the outfit through my Vera Bradley purse. I could have added a bright pair of pumps instead and that would have been just as cute.
There are days when you are the windshield and then there are days when you are the bug. I was the bug today! BUT, I have always heard that the bug would say, “I’d do that again if I had the guts!” I’ve got the guts so today is a new day. I had a bad day, not a bad life.

And what is the name of the Plunder necklace that you can use as a lanyard?
Loving this tunic!
Love this outfit!
I like this tunic, the outfit looks good. You have such a positive attitude, just keeping looking for the “next”, person, outfit, jewelry etc.. And it helps you get over little “challenges”!
Oh and thanks for the check, I received it yesterday. To a very questioning look from husband, LOL!!
Have a great day!! Just remember ~ NEXT!!
I really really really like this outfit! And I wish I had gotten that posse necklace! This outfit is a 10! (Not an 11! ?)
Patti, this was my favorite Posse!!!
What a shame your day was n’t so good in the end, I remember my mum used to say something like “sing before breakfast, cry before dinner.( a bit depressing tho )
Don’t you look all fancy today! Love it. You always look good; each day I think..OOH, this look is the best! Then tomorrow is “the best”, so you’re doing terrific. Hope all is well. see you tomorrow.
Haha, thanks, Jeannie?

LOVE the way you styled this tunic today! Very flattering w/all the accessories & matching flats! Sorry you had a rotten day & hoping your today is much blessed!
Oh goodness! I hate it when I wake up happy then the day goes sour. You always have such an optimistic vibe, so I pray you channeled your inner Taylor Swift and were able to just SHAKE IT OFF!
Very cute tunic. Yes, I like this styling better too. 😉
BTW, Old Navy has all their jeans on sale, including rock star. Aren’t those the ones you style? Plus, they have them in colors for spring.
Yesterday I was the bug too! But it was a day not a life, you are so right!!! Praise be.
Love the look.
I love this outfit! You are as cute as a bug. You make me smile every morning. So you see, even if you might be having a bad day, you are making mine a little brighter.
I had a pastor once who would say ‘If you think you are having a bad day, skip one’. I found your blog a couple of months ago and it is one of the ones I read last every morning. I always save the best for last, it just makes the day brighter. Love your attitude toward fashion and life.
Well, you look great in animal print! I always say that animal print is my signature color! Today is a new day, hope it’s better!
Tunic is so pretty. Love it. Hope you have a great day!!!
My mother use to say “This too shall pass” or “Tomorrow is another day” when she had a bad day. I hope today is a better day for you.
Love your outfit!
Love your blog! You just keep looking more beautiful everyday. And I love hearing about your day!
I love the tunic! Love that it has pockets and the sleeve length is perfect! Animal prints are always fun! Hope you have a better day today. I have quite a few of those tough ones where I work. Maybe they come to make us appreciate the good ones more!
The sun will come out tomorrow (sorry I can’t sing it for you) and it always does – blue sky or hiding behind clouds but still there! Yes, I’m a glass half full kind of girl, don’t you hate them?! ? make it a fabulous day ….And love leopard, have a bunch of tops and a great pair of pumps that I I use to brighten an all black outfit. Cheers!
Cristina, I am one of the half full girls too. There are just times when it takes me a little longer to get full.
I like today’s look better and your “hairy” leopard flats. LOL!!! ~Lisa~
I am just the best salesman ever!!! Who wouldn’t want to buy a “hairy” bracelet and flats? Lol!!!
If we don’t have the odd bad day then we can’t appreciate the good days new day new outlook totally agree much prefer your styling this time I think because we can see the top I did like your previous look but this really shows off the tunic to it’s best ?
Bernie, I just hate when the good day and the bad day are the same days. It is not so bad if you start off with a bad day and it gets good, but it is hard when it is the other way around.
Life – happens to us all doesn’t it Tania – smile – never mind the tough keep on trucking – have a better day today!
I have a lovely show review up on the blog today – am sure you would love the collection that’s coming for Fall 2017: http://funkyforty.com/10-favourites-from-maryling-at-milan-fashion-week-fall-2017/
Keep on trucking, I like that attitude.
I love this tunic! Absolute fabulous! I hope youre day is better as yesterday s!
