WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR SKIN IS AS DRY AS THE SAHARA DESERT

If you’ve read my blog for very long, then you’ve heard me mention several thousand times that my skin is as dry as the Sahara Desert. I’m not talking a little dry; it is dry, itchy, cracked, and crepey. My auto-correct changed crepey to creepy, and I had to agree that it is that too. Lol! But, I’m determined to change all that, and here is my plan.

I am determined to try and get my dry skin under control and now is the perfect time because I have a code for 50% off this product. Make sure you read all the way to the end before you order because this product hardly ever goes on sale.

The first thing I’m going to do to get my skin under control is drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily. I know my skin needs hydration from the inside and outside. The next thing I’m going to do is make myself a vow to use the City Beauty InvisiCrepe Body Balm daily. Raise your hand if you’re guilty of starting a product and not giving it time to work. 🙋‍♀️

According to the City Beauty website:

InvisiCrepe Body Balm reduces the appearance of thin, wrinkled, crepey skin by supporting the skin’s barrier and delivering long-lasting hydration — for a smoother, firmer, and more supple look on the entire body.*

*Individual results can and will vary.

The first thing I did when I opened the product was to give it the smell test. I’m sensitive to fragrance, so I had to make sure I could use the product without developing a headache. The InvisiCrepe Body Balm has a pleasant scent, and one that I am happy to report leaves me headache free. Maybe that is because it is formulated WITHOUT parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, and phthalates.

Can you see the dryness in my arm??? UGH! Next comes the touch test. How does the product feel? Is it greasy or gritty feeling?

The InvisiCrepe Body Balm feels fabulous and so moist and hydrating! It literally melts into my skin and has no greasy or gritty feeling at all!

I could see immediate results, but I know to achieve long-term results will take more than one use. This is where the commitment comes in, and I have to do my part so that the InvisiCrepe Body Balm can do its part

According to a 4-weeks study,

95% said the overall texture of their skin looks better.*
92% said the crepey skin on their chest looks reduced.*
91% said their skin looks smoother.*

Because I’m determined to change my skin, I also started taking the Complete Skin Restore Dietary Supplement. I believe that what goes in our body has a lot to do with how our body looks and feels. This product has vitamins as well as Chlorella, Resveratrol, and Quercetin. You can see the complete ingredient list HERE. I take two tablets a day with a meal and a large glass of water.

Remember how I said I was sometimes guilty of starting a product and then not giving it time to work? That isn’t going to happen this time because I ordered TWO InvisiCrepe Body Balm jars!

You can get your own InvisiCrepe Body Balm because City Beauty is having a sale through the 16th on the Body Balm and Multi-Action Sculpting Cream. Don’t forget that you can get 50% off both products by entering TANIA50 at checkout in the Coupon Box, so order multiples like I did. Lol!

I appreciate City Beauty for allowing me to tell all of you about this incredible sale. And, a BIG thanks to all of my readers for supporting brands that allow me to bring you new and fresh ideas.

  1. Tania,
I love your blog! I just wanted to alert you that I went on the City Beauty website to order this product and I felt a little uncomfortable when I got to the credit card area of the site. When I scrolled to select which credit card I would be using, the word Mastercard was spelled wrong. Being cautious because errors aren’t usually found like this I thought I would share this info with you.

    1. Lol! I’ll message Lily and let her know there is an issue with the site. BTW, you can use my code TANIA15 for 15% off their products.

  2. I ♥️ City Beauty products! I’ve never used InvisiCrepe but I use their HydriGel, Sculpting cream, City Lips and face and eye serums religiously! I live in Colorado and the winters here are especially brutal on aging skins with relation to dryness. The City Lips save my lips and the HydroGel and Sculpting cream are a must too.

    1. Janet, the code only works for the Invisicrepe Body Balm and the Sculpting Cream. Are those the products you purchased? Also, the price doesn’t change until you put the code in the COUPON BOX, then it changes. Let me know if you did all those steps.

  3. I’m so ever grateful I’ve been following your blog. I’ve seen this cream advertised but unsure of authenticity. When someone I follow makes a recommendation you know it’s sincere. Thank you! Placed my order for 2 bottles!

  4. This product must be good. My 2 favorite bloggers, who I read everyday both featured it today. You and ‘A Well Styled Life’. Thanks for all the work you do.

  5. Hi Tania. I have the City Beauty Firming Complex and it works as long as I stay consistent in using it every day. I love the blouse you are wearing! Would you please send a link to where you bought it?

    1. Miriam, I’m afraid that is the way skincare works; you have to be consistent and use it! The blouse is several years old, I think I bought it originally from Loft, but I’m not sure.

    1. Kathleen, welcome to my website! I’m so glad you are enjoying my post, and be sure to thank you friend for me!!!

  6. Tania, just ordered the city beauty balm.
    Here’s hoping it works !!!!🤷🏼‍♀️
Let us gurls know if yours works on your skin. 🤞

    1. I am sure going to give it a try. You can see the dry skin fly when I take off my shirt to go to bed. It is ridiculous, so I’m willing to try and I’m hoping for the best.

    1. Judy, they are different products. R+F is thicker and heavier, and the City Beauty balm is lightweight. I’m going to give it a chance and see my results.

      1. According to my naturopath if you really want to help dry skin you have to address it from the inside. Flax seed oil and collagen are two of the best.

        1. Yeah, I’ve done both of those. I do think you need to address most issues with food, minerals, and vitamins, but I also want immediate relief on the skin.

  7. It is so difficult finding products that actually work and I have tried many. Please mark your calendar. All of the lovely ladies out there will be Waiting patiently for your 4-6 week review. I always enjoy your spirited blog! Thank you for all you do.

    1. Lurania, I couldn’t agree more. I don’t know if it is the product problem or my lack of commitment. I hope I’ll be able to stick to this and give it a chance.

  8. I can’t believe someone else has skin exactly like mine! I have spent a lot of time and money trying to solve the problem. I may give just give this product a try.

    1. My daughter is always telling me I don’t drink enough water. So, I’m trying to do that and take the vitamins to work from the inside out. The body balm helps to give me immediate relief, and I’m hoping the results will also be long-lasting.
