Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a v-neck leopard tee, black girlfriend jeans, gold mules, and carrying a brown Tory Burch tote

I loved all of the comments that you gurls left on yesterday’s post. The house is still a disaster zone, but I worked all day on straightening up the room that we call the computer room. That is the room that Joe stays in all of the time to play on his computer. It has also become the catch-all room of the house, so you can guess how cluttered it is. Today was the day that I tried to sort and put things into piles of keep or trash. The hard part is trying to find a spot for the keep things, so I decided to be very picky in what I kept.

I have already given away a lot of things, and I talked Joe into parting with the back wall of his garage for my overflow items. Most of my overflow will be decorations that are for a specific holiday such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Plus, I do have some flower arrangements that I only sit out in the spring or fall, so those will also be bagged up and put on the shelves. I can’t even begin to tell you how big a difference that a paint color makes. Before, I had dark brick red, caramel tones, and deep muted greens. Clutter just seemed at home in that atmosphere, but now that everything this light gray, I want all of the clutter out of here. Joe is in hog-heaven!!! BTW, a lot of you have asked about my paint color; it is Valspar Medallion, and the color name is Mountain Boulder.

Do you see the bags under my eyes? Lol!!! I have got to find some time to rest, but I keep telling myself that I can relax once the house is finished. They are guessing that it will take one more week, and I am starting to count down the days. Lol! But, once they are done, we still have to do a lot of work to our bathrooms, but we weren’t prepared to tackle that right now. Maybe later this fall would be a better time.

Enough about me and the house, let’s talk about this leopard v-neck tee shirt from Old Navy. I have been buying a lot of tees from Old Navy lately, especially the luxe line. They are soft, comfortable, and they wash up pretty well, especially for the price. I have been buying a large in my tees just in case they shrink any, and I don’t mind them being loose on me. I would rather things fit a little loose than a little tight.

Do you know that black pants are the color that I own the least? I have no idea why that would be, but I don’t own very much black. You know that I love So Slimming Girlfriend Ankle Jeans from Chicos, so when I saw them in black, I decided to grab them. I love the way that these jeans fit, and they wash up great. I do size down in these pants, and I am wearing a .5 in these. I would normally wear a size 10 in other brands, but take my advice and size down!!!

The gold mules are Sam Edelman, and I bought them last year. I am just now becoming a fan of mules. I used to kick them across the room when I would wear them. Lol! These mules are still on the website but are very limited in sizes. I am wearing my usual size 9 in these, and they fit perfectly. HERE is the link to these, and HERE is a pair that is very similar that is from Target, but they are only available in tan.

A lot of you have been asking for me to start carrying handbags in my photos. I used to carry one all of the time because I was heading out the door and going to work. I hardly ever switch my bag now, and I carry the Neverful by Louis Vuitton that I bought a couple of years ago. But, I decided to try this Carson Leather tote by Tory Burch, and I like how it looks and feels. Since my Neverful is this same brown color, I may send this back and get the black version instead.

Have you tired Brow Defining Boost??? This is a tinted gel that you apply to your brows for instant color and fuller-looking eyebrows. It has tiny fibers that cling to the hairs and create the fullness that so many of us have lost as we have aged. While that is great, that is not the BIG NEWS. Brow Boost does more than typical brow products. Since it contains R+F’s proprietary Lash Boost Technology, we not only get an instant WOW for our brow, but over time, your brows appear fuller and thicker even when they’re bare. Whether you have sparse, gray, light, thinning brows- or just looking for more definition, your eyebrows will become BROWERFUL! This product will NOT move until you are ready to take it off. You can work out, sweat all you want, get caught in the rain, and even go swimming, and this will stay put.

Poppy is like my Emersyn, and she begged her Mom to let her try the Brow Defining Boost. Then, she went swimming for THREE hours, and you can see that the product did not come off.

Plus, I have THREE specials to help you get the biggest bang for your buck, BUT, these are only good until the 31st! Visit my website to place an order or message me for more information. To receive special prices or gifts, orders must be placed as my Preferred Customer.

Love this outfit! I also wanted to thank you for introducing me to Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink. I’ve been using it the past several days and it’s the only lip product I’ve tried that stays on all day long! I also tried your tip of using the Covergirl top coat with it and it works wonderfully!

I bought a few — I think four — back when the early summer heat set in on us. I got one that has anchors on it. It’s a loose v neck, not the kind that chokes, and I wore it to my daughter’s house warming party (she lives on a huge lake with a dock and a boat in back). Seemed appropriate lol. I have worn it at least a dozen times and I also got two tanks plus an orange one with a little pocket and a cute roll up sleeve detail. They lasted all summer and we are not done with summer yet with afternoons in high 90s and so much smoke in the air, I bet y’all can see it from Tennessee or Virginia! The smoke is so bad we need an N95 mask to go in the garage or to the mailbox and then our clothes smell like we’ve been at summer camp. The Old Navy tees are hanging in there. And I will say I have a deep abiding respect for the clothes shrinking ability of even the lowest setting so I hang them to dry. No shrinking yet and wonder of wonders, they don’t need ironing.

Liane, I am so sorry that you have so much smoke. I hope that you are safe, and away from the fires.

Black is flattering on you. I also like when you carry a handbag. It finishes the outfit. Also, would love to see your rooms when the painting and decorating is done. Keep up the good work!

I agree that it does finish the outfit. I’m not sure why I don’t remember to carry one.
