WHAT IS THE PERFECT OUTFIT FOR SPRING - 50 IS NOT OLD

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a perfect outfit for spring, a pink gingham shirt, and bootcut jeans There are a lot of things that remind me of spring, and today I experienced a lot of them. It all started this morning when I looked outside and saw that the sun was trying to break through the clouds. I could see that blue skies were behind the clouds and that the sun was going to break through at any minute. In about 15 minutes, the sun was out full force, and it was a gorgeous sight! After I checked out the weather forecast, I found out that we were going to have a high of 72 for the day. I told Joe what the forecast was, and he said those words that I have been waiting to hear….
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a pink gingham shirt, and bootcut jeans “I guess I’ll mow the grass today!” Woohoo!!! It is officially spring! I don’t care when the calendar says the official day of spring is, in my book, it is the first time that you mow the lawn. Lol! I came home from working at the lumber company to the smell of freshly mowed grass and him throwing down extra grass seed. I could have danced a jig since I was so happy. If the weather is pretty tomorrow, I think that I’ll wash off my front porch and maybe re-paint my door. It has been banged up with the wreaths from wreaths. What is your “It’s officially spring” sign?
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a perfect outfit for spring, a pink gingham shirt by J.Crew factory In case you were wondering, THIS is the perfect outfit for spring! Since it was so pretty today, I had to break out this adorable pink gingham button-up shirt. Like the smell of freshly mowed grass, gingham is also a sign of spring. This shirt is a lightweight cotton material, and it is machine washable. It is long-sleeved, which is perfect for this time of the year, but you can roll the sleeves up later as the weather starts getting warmer. I also like using this type of shirt as a bathing suit coverup and leave it open instead of buttoning it up.

The description on the website says that it has a chest pocket, but mine doesn’t. So, I am not sure if that is incorrect, or if they have changed the shirts since I ordered. šŸ¤· I decided to tie the shirt in the front instead of tucking it in or letting it hang loose. I think this is a summery look and it reminds me of going on a picnic. Joe might have mentioned something about Ellie Mae Clampet under his breath as I walked by. Lol! I am wearing a medium, and it fits nicely, but I do see that I needed to add a piece of fashion tape between one of the buttons. Here is the link to the shirt, and it also comes in green (great for St. Patrick’s Day) and purple.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a perfect outfit for spring, a pink gingham shirt, and silver jewelry I thought that simple jewelry was best for this look. So, I added my Avi large hoop earrings from Kendra Scott. I love these earrings because they are a nice statement piece, especially if you aren’t adding a necklace to your look. I don’t even count my rhinestone silver necklace since I rarely take it off.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a pink button-up gingham shirt, and bootcut jeans The bootcut style jean seems to be a favorite of almost everybody. They are a flattering cut, and they help to balance out the lower half with the upper half. I love skinny jeans, but if you have a larger chest or hips, then the bootcut would probably look better on you. This is an older pair that I have had for a while. They are Natalie by Kut From The Kloth, and even though the website says these run large, I am wearing my usual size 10. I’ll link a few more options below.

The neutral loafers that I have on are so comfortable! These loafers are by Born, and I fell in love with the color and the braiding that goes across the foot. It was a huge plus that they were also comfortable to walk in all day long. I am wearing my usual size 9, which fits me perfectly. However, there are only a few of each size left in stock, so good luck finding your pair. But, don’t worry, I’ll find a few similar ones just in case your size is already sold out.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a pink gingham shirt, bootcut jeans, and neutral colored loafers BTW, this has nothing to do with today’s blog post, but I know that a lot of you LOVED the leopard print bishop sleeve blouse that I wore in this post. It is on sale (at least it was last night) for 39.00! So, grab that before it goes off sale or sells out of your size. Here is the link.

I know that the Coronavirus is everywhere in the news, and I hope that all of you are taking precautions to stay healthy. I do encourage you to stock up food and supplies that will last you for 2 – 4 weeks. My hope is that you don’t have to use them, but you will have them just in case. I figure what is the difference in buying the food now, and buying it later? Just make sure to buy things that will have a long shelf life or that you can freeze. Also, be sure to buy things that you will actually eat. Don’t know where to start? There is a website called Girl Prepared that will give you some ideas on things to stock up on. I like it because it’s geared toward women and features a lot of budget-friendly content. Stay home if you can, utilize grocery delivery and pickup services, and by all means….wash your hands. Lol! I don’t want any of my gurl’s getting sick.

The first signs of Spring in Augusta, Ga are the coating of yellow pine pollen on everything, and the city starts sprucing up for the Masters.

Spring means my pink and green porch decorations and lots of crocusā€™ popping up. Itā€™s still cold in Ohio most days but yesterday it was 60 and I had spring fever , so I brought out the spring stuff. A Robin is already attempting a nest in my wreath.
