With Spring coming, so are a ton of events such as baby showers, weddings, graduations, reunions, Mother’s Day, and Easter. Those events usually require us to wear a dress, and if you are like me, dresses aren’t part of your usual everyday attire. If I am not going to get a lot of wear out of an item, then I don’t want to invest a lot of money in the item. Woohoo! Walmart to the rescue! You will see stylish, fashionable, and affordable fashion in this try-on session, so let’s begin.
I love this cheery shirt dress from Scoop. It has a navy background with white daisies with red centers. This dress has plenty of style, and I love the way that it moves with you as you walk. It is 100% Polyester, so it is very lightweight, and it swishes as you move. The dress comes with a self-tie belt, but I think this would also look great if you added a solid red belt, white belt, or even a navy belt.
The dress has pockets; I am a big fan of pockets and also breast pockets. I love a v-neck because I feel they are the most flattering. The 3/4 sleeves are also my favorite since I find them flattering too. I am wearing a large in this dress, but it is a little large on me. The great thing about having a belt is that you can’t tell that at all. I usually wear a size 12, and the large was a 12-14, so that is why it is a little big on me. Here is the link to the dress, and it is under 35.00.
These bright red shoes are sooo cute. I am a big fan of the material covered 3 1/2″ block heel and the open toe design. The asymmetrical sides make these shoes very unique looking, and these will get you a lot of compliments. The material is faux suede, and these have a nicely padded footbed for comfort. I am wearing my usual size 9 in these shoes, so I think that they run true to size. Here is the link to the shoes, which are under 35.00.
Do you know someone who is having a baby girl? Wouldn’t this be the perfect dress to wear to the baby shower or the hospital at the birth? This bright pink dress is another shirt dress for you, and it also has a self-tie belt. This dress is 100% cotton, and it is machine washable, which is a huge plus for me.
The dress has pockets, another huge plus, and the flattering v-neckline. This dress has cuffed short sleeves, which will be great for summer, and you can add a cardigan or jacket over the dress to wear it this Spring. I am wearing a large in this dress also, and yes, it is a tiny bit big on me as well. But, the belt makes the dress look like it fits me great. If I am going to have something fit tight or loose, I will choose loose every time.
I am glad that I could get a good picture of the gorgeous eyelet design on the dress. Did I mention that this would be great for wearing to a baby shower? Lol!
And, the great thing about this dress is that it comes with a detachable pink slip lining. Here is the link to this adorable dress, which is under 30.00!
These heels are a must if you can wear heels. I love the large 3.5″ block heel, but it is the padded footbed and the faux leather material that has sold me on these shoes. I had to recheck the website to make sure that these weren’t leather, they look that nice. Because this Chesnut color is a great neutral, you will be able to wear these all Spring and summer long. They have an adjustable ankle strap; however, these zip up the back so you won’t ever have to struggle with the strap after you get it right the first time. I am wearing my usual size 9, so they fit true to size. Here is the link to these great sandals, and they are under 35.00.
While I had on those Chestnut sandals, I decided to show you this dress this blue and white knit dress that I just got in. I loved how the dress moved and flowed, but I just checked, and I must not have been the only one since it has sold out. But, never fear, because I found another blue and white knit dress by the same brand, and I’ll link to that below.
I wanted to show you how easy it was to add a cardigan to this dress if the mornings are cool. The dress that I have on is short-sleeved, so this winter white open front cardigan is perfect for adding for a little extra warmth. You will be able to add this lightweight cardigan to anything, so this would be an item that you would be able to wear over and over.
Here is a closer look for you to see the cardigan and the ribbing on the cuffs. The cardigan is a fine knit material, and it is not a heavy cardigan, but it is enough to knock the chill off. I am wearing a size large in this sweater, and I think that it fits great. Here is the link to the cardigan, and it is under 15.00!
This faux wrap dress is so cutesy! I felt like doing twirls in this dress as soon as I put it on. I love the tiered ruffles at the bottom of the dress and the faux wrap design. The faux-wrap is very flattering, and I have tied the belt so that it looks like it is a true wrap. The bright poppy print is eye-catching, and I’ll show you a close-up of it below so you can see the pop of blue in the design.
This dress has a deep v-neck, which is flattering. The long sleeves will make this perfect for wearing now and later, and the sleeves have elastic at the bottom so you can scrunch them up to create a 3/4 sleeve look. This dress hits me right at the knee, and I am 5’6″ tall.
Here is a better look at the print and the wrap design. The dress is 100% rayon, so it is flowy and has a lot of movement when you walk. I am wearing a size large in the dress, and it fits me fine. Here is the link to the dress, and this dress is the most expensive item that I am linking to today at 36.00!
This is the last dress for the day, and I have one more pair of shoes to show you. This dress is made exactly like the first dress that I showed to you, but the print is different. I don’t know if I mentioned in the description of the earlier dress, but this has side slits on each side, and it also doesn’t button after it reaches the knee. So, that creates a center slit also, and all those slits help the dress to flow and move when you walk. The dress is a long maxi dress, and for length reference, I am 5’6″ tall.
Once again, this dress has pockets, a v-neck with a collared neckline, and 3/4 length sleeves. But, just look at this red and navy animal print design. This is such a unique look for a leopard print, and I love how different it looks. I am wearing a size large, and it is a little big on me, but the self-tie belt helps out a lot. Here is the link to this dress, which is under 35.00.

Walmart is a perfect partner for me on the blog. They were founded on the concept of everyday low prices, and that is still their #1 promise to shoppers. Walmart offers free 2-day shipping on most orders that are over $35.00 and also free returns. You can ship to your home or to your local store and return items there too. Walmart makes it very convenient for their customers, especially since most people have a store within 10 miles of their homes.
