The unique details of the navy cardigan and the suede loafers look great with the burgundy jeans worn by 50 Is Not OldI forgot to tell all of you about my stop on the way home from Atlanta on Sunday. I  had no plans to go shopping, so I didn’t add “makeup” except for a tiny bit of blush and a swipe of mascara. The only reason that I did that was so that I wouldn’t scare someone when I stopped and filled up my car with gas. Lol! I decided on the way home to stop and buy the CND RescueRXx nail oil, so I went into Ulta.
The unique details of the navy cardigan looks great with the burgundy jeans worn by 50 Is Not OldIt is never good for my pocketbook when I go into an Ulta store. But, I decided that I was not going to spend a lot of money, and I did well. Then, as I was going to the checkout line, I saw an eyeshadow palette by ColorPop with some beautiful colors. It wasn’t costly, so I grabbed it also and then checked out. When I got in the car, I opened it up to look at the colors. A few colors had been used up on the display, so I was anxious to see what other colors were in the palette. A bright white frosted one caught my eye, and I thought that it would look great at the top of my eyebrow. So, I dipped my pinky in the white shadow and applied it to my brow bone. Whoops! This was not a shimmer shade; it was a GLITTER shade. I had glitter all over my face, and even though I tried and tried, I couldn’t get it off. You should have seen Joe’s face when I walked into the house. LOL!!!
The unique details of the navy cable knit cardigan looks great with the black and white striped topThis navy cardigan by Treasure & Bond is the perfect casual cardigan for an everyday look. The cable knit design is a great unique detail that makes this cardigan stand out from all the rest. It is a tad bit on the oversized side, so I would suggest ordering a size smaller than you normally wear. This cardigan is a medium/large, and I think that it is too big on me. I love a cable knit design, and I love navy since it is so versatile and goes with everything, but I feel like this swallows me. Here is the link to this sweater that is on sale at 40% off. Here are some other cardigans that have unique details also.

A gold hammered heart necklace worn by 50 Is Not OldMy heart earrings are no longer available, but the Evangelina heart necklace is online. This is a long necklace with a hammered gold heart and gold beads on a gray cord. I like that this necklace is fine for Valentine’s Day, and also that it can be worn at any other time of the year. The Maggie Bangle bracelet is from Kendra Scott, and it comes in gold, silver, and rose gold. I bought this to match my Maggie hoop earrings, which come in large, medium, and small sizes.
The unique details of the suede loafers look great with the burgundy jeans worn by 50 Is Not OldYou are going to love these loafers. These are so soft, and they have a plush cushioned footbed that makes them comfortable. The natural/neutral suede color is something that I love, and the braid across the top gives these shoes the unique details that I am always wanting. I have been seeing a huge trend this year going toward flats, so I know a lot of you are saying hallelujah. I have several flats ordered to show them to you, so be watching for that in the upcoming days. The size that I am wearing is my usual size 9, so these do run true to size. Here is the link to these suede flats.

The unique details of the navy cable knit cardigan and the beige suede loafers look great with the burgundy jeans worn by 50 Is Not OldI am a huge fan of burgundy jeans. Come to think of it; I am a huge fan of anything burgundy. Lol! It might be because burgundy is just a deep version of red, which I love, or it could be because I like jewel tones in clothing. But, either way, you can’t go wrong with this great neutral color. The jeans that I am wearing are an older pair, so they are no longer on the website, but you can find this color fairly easy. The last time (here) that I wore these jeans, I am not sure that you liked the look. Lol! Here are a few that I found.

True Glitter story! My sister had set Gynae appt – Rooms phoned to ask if she cld come in 2 hours earlier. She rushed to do a Top & Tail to make the appt (Not aware her daughter had dumped her sparkles into her face cloth) Her Gynae was most impressed at the effort she had made for her appointment!

  4. I absolutely love this outfit. The colors just pop.
I avoid anything with glitter because I never seem able to get that stuff off. Lol, that sounds exactly like something that would happen to me too.

  5. Olivia Gregory says:

I have to ask about your eyelashes…. beautiful! Mascara? Extensions?

    1. Olivia, my lashes are all due to my usage of Lash Boost. I’ll email you to let you know how you can get your own.

Where do you get lash boost?

    1. Margie, the striped sweater was an old one that I bought from Old Navy. I should have tried to find similar ones. Sorry!

  7. I too love burgandy and would like to see the jeans styled in different looks. Thanks so much!!!

  8. Love this look! I stand to teach for long periods, so I struggle with outfits that look good with flats.

  10. Love the suede flats. Question: can suede footwear be worn year round? I associate the material with fall/winter.

    1. I have thought that too, Michele. But, I do see people wearing suede in the summer, and I have seen summer shoes made from suede. Suede is just leather, and we don’t think about wearing that in the summer, so I guess it is fine.

You can’t go wrong with this look! Eye shadow can be scary thoiugh. Not a fan of glitter. You can’t that stuff off!

    1. Janet, I haven’t played with glitter before, so I am actually looking forward to trying. It may be a huge mess, but it will be fun.
