My Personal Favorite White Tops

The EVERLASTING TOP is a fabulous white button-down shirt. I love the material, and it is perfect for work or travel. A white button-down is a fashion workhorse since it can be dressed up or down with a cardigan or denim jacket.

I love the feel of this one; it feels very silky against my skin. However, it runs a little big. I’m wearing an 8, but I sent it back for a size 6, which fits me much better.

This Oxford button-up is one of my favorites! In this post about six ways to style a white button up shirt, you can see me style it in lots of different ways. In the summer, I like to tie it up around my waist, wear it open over tanks, or wear it underneath a blazer or jacket with a pair of sneakers.

 I found this 100% organic cotton crew neck top at the NSale and brought it home with me! It has cropped in the name, but don’t let that fool you. I didn’t feel like it was cropped, and it covered my stomach area completely. This white tee could easily be the best white t-shirt; it is a great weight and not see-through.

One of the things I like best about a white tee (besides comfort), is that they look great with jeans, shorts, pants or trousers, and skirts.

I love the casual style of this vest, and the oversized buttons and pockets are functional and decorative, too. I’m wearing a medium, and the vest fits perfectly. I saw someone comment that it ran huge, but I don’t find that it does. If you are between sizes, then size down.

Camisoles and Tank Tops:

I couldn’t survive without a few good tank tops in my closet! They are perfect for wearing around the house when I’m cleaning, but I also love using them as layering pieces to put beneath blazers, jackets, and cardigans. This one from J. Jill is a Pima cotton blend, is stretchy, and is so comfortable!

This tank will be great for those early fall days! You know, the ones where the air is crisp enough in the mornings for a blazer or a cardigan, but the sun is in full sauna mode by lunchtime? Just slip off your top layer and rock this cute (and affordable!!) tank around town.

This is one of my favorite tanks! I’ve had them in many different colors over the years. They hold up well in the wash, fit well, and are soft and comfy! They have 8% spandex, and I always size up one size in these. It has a slim-fit cut, so I will choose a size 2 instead of my normal size 1.

Short Sleeve Tees

Now, let’s move into short-sleeve tees! I always have a V-neck and a scoop-neck tee in my arsenal. V-necks are perfect for showing off a necklace! This one is an investment, but here is a more affordable white V-neck by Amazon Essentials if you’re shopping on a budget. It has a relaxed cut, so it will be slightly oversized.

If you don’t love a v-neck, you should try a scoop neck. I’ve been loving ribbed material lately, and this ribbed scoop neck from Talbots gets great reviews. It comes in lots of other colors if you fall in love and decide you need more than just one!

I know a lot of you gurls hate showing your arms, so you should check out this elbow-length tee! It’s the perfect length for getting upper arm coverage. Plus, this crewneck tee is from Chico’s Touch of Cool line, which means the fabric has a refreshing, cool-to-the-touch feel!

3/4 and Long Sleeve Tees

Now, we are moving into long sleeve tee territory, which is my tee of choice during late fall and winter! I like wearing them by themselves, but they are also great for layering under sweater vests, ponchos, duster cardigans, and more. Talbots always have a great basics line, and this v-neck comes in four great neutrals.

This 3/4 sleeve tee from Chico’s really is the “perfect tee.” The v-neck isn’t too deep, the length hits right at the hip, and the fabric is soft and smooth. If you love a pop of color, check out the violet!! It’s gorgeous and available up to XXL.

Again, if you don’t love a v-neck, here’s a scoop-neck option for you! This Tommy Bahama tee is made from 100% cotton, has 3/4 sleeves, is made of high-quality cotton material, and comes in eight different colors. It is available in sizes XS to XL.

Button Down

Gurls, No Iron clothing has my heart!! There is nothing easier than popping on a white button-down shirt that is wrinkle free, and doesn’t have to be steamed or ironed. This one from Chico’s has plenty of stretch, so it’s comfy and easy to wear and looks great straight out of the dryer.

We all know and love Athleta for their athleisure and workout clothing, but did you know they have a great button-up shirt, too? Their Midday shirt is lightweight, breathable, has a relaxed fit, and comes in a wide range of sizes, including petite and tall options if you have a long torso. It is made from recycled polyester to help lessen the impact on our world.

Who doesn’t need a white blouse? This tunic from J. Jill is a great option if you don’t love a button-down shirt but are looking for a dressier white top. It’s professional enough for the office but casual enough to wear with jeans and flats. I love how it looks with the sleeve cuffs flipped up for an even more casual look. This tunic would work for most body types to create a flattering silhouette.
