The Best Handbags To Buy Now

You’ve probably noticed that I love a great handbag, lol. I’ve linked to hundreds through the years. I have a couple of designer bags that I bought as a gift to myself, but for the most part, I carry inexpensive purses. I love fashion, and that includes accessories, so I like to change them with the season. Today I’m sharing the best handbags to buy now. I have some in different price ranges, so hopefully, you’ll see something you love.

The Best Handbags To Buy Now Under $100

This handbag can go in two categories. It goes in the under $100 category because it is marked down and is on sale for 50% off. Once the sale goes off (which is 10-15-23), the price will be above $100. I guess this is your sign to get it before the sale ends. 😆 Finding a quality leather and suede handbag for under $100 is almost unheard of!

I think this is so cute! Houndstooth is so in right now, and I love the two different brown tones. This would go with pretty much anything! Crossbody purses are one of my favorites, and I like that the strap is detachable, so it could also be carried as a top handle bag. A steal at just $29 dollars~

This is a classic color combination which makes this purse look much more expensive than it is. This can be carried either as a crossbody or a shoulder bag and comes in a few other colors and textures. This has a 4.8-star rating and is just $33 dollars.

Crescent bags are all the rage now, and you’ll find them at almost every high-end retailer. This is a very simple and clean style of purse and is 11.8″ x 3.2″ x 9.8″. Have a date night or dinner with your girlfriends? Throw this over your shoulder for an elegant and easy look. Just $40 dollars.

The Best Handbags To Buy Now Under $200

You know I’m a HUGE fan of Quince clothing, and their handbags are amazing! I carry this triple-compartment crossbody on a daily basis, and I like that I can also carry it by the handle. This bag is Italian Leather and is under $120.

This quilted crossbody is by the same brand and is of the same great quality. I’m not sure how Quince can sell their Italian Leather handbags at such a great price. This bag is dressier than the first crossbody, so it isn’t one that I carry as often.

A bucket bag is a great all-around purse. It’s not quite as large as a tote bag, but it holds a ton of your essential items. This Madewell bag is full leather and measures 9″W x 12 1/2″H. I like the black, but it also comes in a soft brown and beige. It comes with two removable straps, one of which is adjustable. All yours for $168 dollars.

I love almost everything by Vince Camuto, and this purse is no exception. It’s full leather and lined and has an adjustable strap, but it’s the bold polished buckle that I think makes it stand out. I think it’s a crossbody bag that could be carried for years and goes with almost everything. Leather is pricier, and this comes in at $188 dollars.

This is the last Quince handbag, and it is a good one. I love the triple compartment, and it is great as a work tote. It probably wouldn’t hold my MacBook Pro, but I could fit my MacBook Air or iPad in it easily. This looks so much nicer than my old briefcase. Lol! This one is structured and not quite as soft as the other Quince bags, but it is meant for work, not play.

Talk about chic! I love this small Paris Satchel bag by Antonio Melani available at Dillard’s. This color is called “fawn,” but it’s also available in midnight and mint. This is smaller than the others at 8.37″ x 3″ x 6.5 and is carried by the handles, not over the shoulder. It’s full leather, of course, and comes in just under the wire at $199 dollars.

The Best Handbags To Buy Now Under $300

Can you see the logo? This Tory Burch wallet crossbody is very subtle in black. It comes in several other creatively named colors, such as Brie, Silver Maple, and Tiramasu, where the logo is more visible. This is a true wallet purse with a space for your phone and a card pouch. This would be a great everyday purse when you don’t need to carry everything but the kitchen sink. Currently on sale at $225 dollars.

I have been seeing Brahmin bags EVERYWHERE. Last month I was at a party and noticed a woman with one. When I remarked on it, she said she’d had it for twenty years. It still looked amazing! The purse here is pecan, but it’s also available in black, hunter, vintage red, and others. Of course, it’s leather and has an adjustable strap. Available from Dillard’s for $295 dollars. I have the Brahmin Finley Carryall in this same Pecan color, but it is over the $300 price range.

Gurls, let me know what you think. Are you going to update your purse with one of these gorgeous bags? Let me know if you’re going with “inexpensive for a season” or “investment for years!”

OMG all of your handbag choices are sensational. I’m a former handbag buyer for department stores for some thirty years and now retired. I’ve have traveled the world seeking the best values and fashionable handbags. You have a fabulous talent for choosing handbags.Looking forward to seeing more of your selections. Thank you.

  3. Vickie Lee Devers says:

The purses are very nice! I’m so happy you DIDN’T say “she”, when referring to the purses!☺🎃

  4. I love handbags too. But as I’ve gotten older I don’t carry them as often.

  5. I love the suede hobo bag from Talbots. The price is great and its in my cart!

  6. Krista Preston says:

The Vince Camuto bag with gold buckle…my new bucket list bag!!!

  7. Judy Thompson says:

I absolutely LOVE THE Brahman Finley and just can’t decide on the Pecan or red, but leaning toward the red one. It may have to be my Christmas present to myself! Thanks for all the great ideas. I also love Quince cashmere sweaters and handbags, especially the price point!

  8. I’m a bag girl. Love almost every bag you featured. Especially like the Quince triple zipper leather bag, and of course the Brahmin. Hard to decide which color. If I won the lottery, I’d definitely have a different purse for every week of the year. LOL

  9. I really like the Houndstooth purse. I’m really hard on purses so I don’t like spending a lot of money on them but I do look for a well made one that can take my abuse!

  10. sue koren says:

Love the satchel from Amazon – and the price!

  11. I love handbags almost as much as I love shoes!

  12. Love the ones under 100. I actually think the ones under 50 are cuter. That’s more my price.

  13. Jacque Abell says:

I’m not a purse girl but I bought one of the smaller ones. I won’t switch out purses though so I always get one I love and wear it a long time.

  14. Marin Mattingly says:

You never mention Vera Bradley bags or similar styles. None of my bloggers do. But they seem to be popular around here, in the Midwest. Check them out.

    1. I have a few Vera bag, but I’m not a huge fan of the quilted patterns. The one I use is leather, and I love that. I do have a lot of their throws and blankets though.

  15. CyndeeKay🌻 says:

I have the Madewell tote in two sizes. I use the smaller one for everyday and the larger one for shopping and traveling. Purchases go in the tote and eliminate the stores’ plastic bags.

  16. Gina Luebke says:

Cute bags, I love the plaid two tone one!! Soooo cute.

  17. I really like the first suede hobo bag. Wondering how the suede would hold up over time. I find that the larger bags overpower my petite frame. I use a medium size clutch often and have found some less expensive ones from Liz Claiborne.

  18. Ginger Hiller says:

I love having lots of handbags to choose from in my closet. My favorite style is a tote, but I also have some satchels, and crossbody handbags. Because I change handbags often and I have a tendency to decide I no longer like a particular bag, I don’t spend a lot of money on them.

  19. Stephanie Rodriguez says:

I’ve been on the hunt for a new black handbag. I’ve sent several back that were too big but I’m going to try the PS Petite Simone crescent bag you’ve shown. I think that might be just what I’ve been looking for.

  20. I’m loving the Tory Burch and the Madewell purses. Thanks for the post!!! I have a handbag obsession. Tory Burch is one of my favorite brands. I’m lately into marc Jacobs. I also have a lot of purses from Target that are super cute.

    1. Nicole, I have a Marc Jacobs handbag that is coming up in a post soon.

  21. This is where I consider myself low-maintenance. I don’t spend much on a purse. I really hate carrying them, so that might be part of the reason. I don’t like changing them out (I leave that for spring and fall). It’s one area I’ve never tried to keep up with the Joneses. Other women probably turn their noses up at my inexpensive purses. HA!! You have beautiful options, and I use your posts on these to know what’s current, and then I look for something similar for a low price. So, as with everything, thank you for the inspiration!!

  22. Debbie Barber says:

My goodness! I love these purses!

  23. I really want a Brahmin purse but they are so dang expensive!!

  24. Love the selection of purses.

  25. I love handbags! They are my favorite accessory. I’m getting ready to change into my Brahmin today. I would rather have a few quality bags than a bunch of cheaper bags. I keep my purse contents in small bags to make changing easier. It also makes it easier to find things.

  26. I adore all handbags. Thank you for sharing.

  27. Love the plaid crossbody. So cute!

  28. You got me hooked on Brahmin! I have one that I got for my 65th bday and I carry it daily.. I’m terrible about overstuffing my purse, and the handles can “handle” the weight of it! I love purses.. I remember going on a bus trip with a bunch of ladies, and one lady said, “Gold and purses always fit”. 😉 Thank you for shopping for us!!

    1. Jenn, I’m hooked on Brahmin too. I wish they would expand into more styles or materials though.

  29. I love a good purse and am willing to spend more on one that will last! Great choices!

    1. That is where I spend the most money.

  30. Lisa Bagci says:

Thanks for these great reviews- I am definitely checking these out for Christmas ideas for my mom, who is hard to shop for but loves purses!

  31. Roberta Schwandner says:

    I like these handbags.

  32. I am sold on Brahmin bags. They hold up so well especially when you take care of them! I keep mine in their drawstring bags and I also have the special cream to put on them to preserve them. I must have seven or eight bags now. I also like Hammond brand but i don’t think they are as sturdy.

    1. I love them too, but I only have a couple of them.

  33. Linda Shearer says:

Purses are kinda my thing and I love Dooney and Bourke. They last forever and they will even repair them if something does happen.

My favorite one you showed today was the large tote from Quince. I do like Brahmin Bags too and same as Dooney good quality and last forever.

Thank You for posting these ideas.

    1. I’ve had a lot of Dooney handbags over the years. Several years ago, I went through and got rid of most of them to make room for others.

  34. I always buy a new handbag fall and spring. Maybe I should get one on Amazon!!!!

  35. Linda Foltz says:

Love, love the purses! I agree they are a great addition to an outfit!

  36. Dana Smithmier says:

I have so many purses!! These are all so cute im sure ill need at least one of them🤭

  37. Diane Hague says:

I start everyday reading your blog. Love it! Keep it coming😊

  38. Donna Ingalls says:

Love the crescent and bucket bags. Both of those shapes are my style. Thanks for sharing different price points.

  39. Love all the handbags. Have you tried Hammit or Margot? They are very nice too.

    1. No, I’ve never tired either of those.

  40. I’m hoping to receive something from Coach for Christmas this year.

  41. I love colorful purses, especially if they have a beautiful lining. I’m lazy so I don’t like a flap you have to lift to get into your purse. I need to learn not to carry so much stuff so I can carry some smaller, lighter purses!

  42. My favorite is the Retro Flap Top. Very nice selection of handbags.

  43. Catherine R says:

Now how did you know I was looking for a new purse. Thank you for these great ones to think about. CaCatherine

  44. Beautiful bags! The houndstooth is so classy and the best of both worlds with the handle and the strap. I might have my eye on that Petite Simone, too. 😜

  45. Purses are so difficult to pick, for me. I need pockets in them, in and outside.

  46. Love the suede bag, I can’t buy amazon deals I’m not a prime member

  47. Like shoes, you can never have too many purses!

  48. Susan Hughes says:

The Quince crossbody is my favorite in this list. I just got my first (and last) Brahmin bag. The zipper broke in the first two weeks and I’ve had to send it back for repairs. It was a gift from my husband and we are just sad about the whole thing.

    1. Bummer! The people I know that carry Brahmin have kept theirs for years. Sorry you had a bad experience.

  49. Kelly Brooks says:

Please check out meanwhile back on the farm bags they are awesome and have so many to choose from. I think all the ladies would love them and they are made in Virginia.
