The Best Chic Wool Coats To Buy Now

Fall is my favorite season, followed by my not-so-favorite season. In the immortal words of Jon Snow, Winter is Coming! To be honest, I’ve only watched a few episodes of Game of Thrones. It lost me at “Winter.” Because I hate to be cold, I am always on the lookout for a great coat. Today I’m sharing the best chic wool coats to buy now, before winter actually does get here and your Amazon driver can’t make it up your driveway! I should also mention that they aren’t all “wool”. I know many people who can’t wear wool, so some are blends or polyester, etc.

This Ralph Lauren Reefer Coat is one of my favorite purchases from Nordstrom. I bought the coat around this time of the year, and I love wearing it in fall and winter. It is so chic and sophisticated looking and looks great with dresses as well as jeans. I’ve had this coat for a few years, and it is sold out in almost all sizes and colors. HOWEVER, here comes Amazon to the rescue because this Wool Blend Double Breasted Coat looks almost identical. I always size down when buying a double-breasted coat, and this one really looks oversized.

If you like the look of a double-breasted coat but want it a little shorter, this one from Talbots would be perfect. The coat is also available in Petites, and I know all of my petite ladies just screamed, YES!!!

The Best Chic Wool Coats To Buy Now – From Nordstrom

Wow, this is pretty! I love the A-line silhouette and the pearly buttons. Kate Spade is always a chic brand. The color, deep lipstick, is gorgeous, but if you prefer more traditional colors, it comes in navy, grey, and black as well. The description says it’s a lightweight wool blend, so it might be perfect for those of you who are in more temperate climates.

Of course, I love a long wool coat. I don’t like my tail, or any other parts, to get cold, lol. I think this belted wool coat is a classic. It is long, so those of you petite gurls may want to take that into account. The reviews also say it runs large, so I’d order a size down.

Here’s a similar version from Cole Haan. It’s also long, but 45 inches compared to the one above, which is 46″. Like the one from Nordstrom, this is also belted but has more of a trench coat vibe. In addition to black, it also comes in dark green and berry. It doesn’t have many reviews, but has a 5-star rating. Well, it’s Cole Haan, so it makes sense.

Sometimes winter coats can overwhelm smaller-framed women. I think this mid-thigh single-breasted coat would work great if that’s an issue you have. I like the length and the single-band collar. This is one of the non-wool wool coats I mentioned. It’s actually polyester and machine-washable!

This is a wool coat. 6% still counts, right? Well, you’ll be happy to know that its price matches its wool percentage. It’s only $37 dollars! This is a casual, oversized version of the wool coat. I’ve shown it in light tan, but it’s available in a lot of others, even purple! It has a 4.6-star rating, and most people size down one size.

I had to include this coat because I love the color. It’s officially “caramel,” but I think it’s more of a cinnamon. Like a few others, it’s polyester instead of wool. I think this would be so pretty with a scarf, and some tall boots. If you don’t love the color as much as I do, it’s also available in black, grey, and camel.

Here’s one more from Cole Haan. It’s 52% wool, but I’m here for the color. It’s a gorgeous Forest Green, and I like the hood. Yes, thank you! We don’t just wear coats to be fashionable. Being warm is nice, too!

The Best Chic Wool Coats To Buy Now – From Banana Republic Factory

Coats don’t have to be rendered in neutral colors to be chic. This coat is a show-stopper! I’d call it berry, but Banana Republic Factory calls it New Pinot Noir. Whatever it is, I like it! If it’s too bright for you, it also comes in “Oyster” and “Black”. No, it’s not wool either, lol. Maybe I should rename this post, The Best Chic Wool and Not Wool Coats. Nah. You gurls get me. 🙂 You know what I mean!
