T-SHIRT AND JEAN SERIES, PART TWO
San Diego is beautiful!!! It is sunny and around 65 here today so not too hot or too cold. I am taking “on location” pictures that will hit the blog in the upcoming weeks. My sister is my photographer since I did not travel with a tripod and large camera. It is weird having someone else take my pictures even if it is my sister. All those feelings of “I look stupid,” “I feel silly smiling like this,” “Did you take a picture yet?” Do you feel that way when someone is taking your pictures? This is one reason I like the tripod, I know when the picture is about to take and I am not worrying about smiling or looking stupid.
When we were walking through the airport yesterday my sister made the mistake of telling everyone she was a really good dancer. I have never seen my sister dance EVER so that statement took me by surprise. Once the shock wore off, the laughter set in. We teased her all day long about being a good dancer. We told our Uber drivers about her being a good dancer. We played music while walking in the hallways so she could break loose and dance for us. I am going to see if I can get her an application to Dancing With The Stars, she is an award-winning author after all.
Can you believe how adding this navy blazer to my basic t-shirt and jeans outfit has changed the look? Yesterday, I went with a vest and tennis shoe look and today I wanted a little more business casual look. A navy blazer is such a classic and essential piece of a wardrobe. If you don’t already own one you need to buy one. This blazer is one I have had for several years. I like that you can roll the sleeves up and show the striped lining giving it a different look. This blazer is from JCP.
You also need to mix up your jewelry to achieve a different look. The necklace is eye-catching and it takes your mind away from the fact that I only have on a t-shirt. The colors are bright and fun. This necklace is the Carmen and has beads and tassels attached for a very springy style. The tassel bracelet has a couple key charms that dangle from it. I closed my last party and opened a new one. I bet you can guess what the name is….www.plunderdesign.com/party/tania4 EVERY purchase (for the rest of March) over $50.00 (excluding tax and shipping) will be getting a 15% off discount check from me.
If you are wearing a classic blazer then you need a classic purse. This Dooney & Bourke purse fits the bill. I love the color of this purse. I wanted a leather couch in this color but ended up with a dark brown one instead. I don’t know the official name of this color but I always call it caramel.
Flats again, this must be a record. A tassel kiltie loafer is also a classic shoe style but the added gold trim adds some pizzazz to the look. I don’t wear these shoes often, they just always look “off.” I will put them on and go look in the mirror and then go and change. I am not sure the problem but I think it has something to do with how much foot you see in the shoe.
San Diego is gorgeous! We went to Coronado today and I am completely in love with the place. The weather has been perfect although they are calling for rain in the forecast. I’ll be in classes most of the day so I guess it won’t matter. It is so lush and green here but I am told that this is unusual. It has been raining for a couple of weeks and everything is blooming like crazy. We picked a great time to visit.
The girl that is traveling with us looked at me on the plane and said, “Are those lashes for real, they are crazy?” Haha I laughed and told her they were real and a direct result of using Lash Boost from Rodan and Fields. She then said, “Is that why your skin looks like peaches and cream?” Why yes it is! LOL!!! Guess what? She loved the results so much she is going to sign up to sell. Then the gentleman that was traveling with us was listening and he also wants to purchase products. It is cool when you can be your own walking billboard.
How about a San Diego special? If you purchase a Lash Boost or any regimen as a preferred customer (new or existing) from Wednesday thru Saturday, I will refund you $20.00. I want all of you to be your own walking billboard.

Love this look, actually one of my favorites. Wish I could use the big purses, but weight hurts my joints. Hanks for all the good tips too.
Love love love your blog lots of great ideas on putting together outfits! You look so put together but effortless! Would love to know where to buy a good blazer that fits well thanks!
You need to try on a blazer. I bought one that I have worn for years at JCP. I love that one! I also have one from Talbots and Ann Taylor that I really like.
You look amazing!!
This is absolutely my kind of outfit, Tania!!!!! Love the blazer with the jeans and T-shirt!!!! And I love the rolled sleeves – I always do that when I’m wearing a blazer!!! Very casual but so smart, too!!!
Have a great day!!!!

This is a great outfit. I like the shoes and the blazer, it dresses it up. Of course, kudos on the jewelry.. Have fun!!
Love the loafer…..makes the outfit look totally pulled together!
I love the look! I have a very similar blazer that I can roll the sleeves and see stripes but it is a taupe color. It goes with everything! We need a new makeup video from you! Rodan and Fields is working and want to see how you make it look even better!
Another classy outfit! I love the blazer with the t-shirt and jeans. You definitely look professional. You are so photogenic! I hate having my picture taken.
Glad you’re enjoying San Diego and the weather has been nice. It’s great that your sister is with you. Sister’s memories are such a gift!
I grew up in San Diego and my daddy still lives there (over by the Zoo). We still laugh about the weather: every day it’s “night and early morning low clouds and fog, clearing in the early afternoon, highs around 70, lows around 60.” Unless it’s not. And they were pulling your leg, it really is green and lush there all the time.
Lovely, classic look and the color pop from the necklace is a great accent. Another winner.

LOVE this look! This is something I would wear to work a lot! I need to be professional but can be a little more casual than some. Jeans with the t-shirt and blazer is the perfect combination. I really like the loafers you have on, I don’t think they look “off” at all! Have a great time in San Diego!
p.s. I love the Carmen necklace. I haven’t worn mine yet, but may give it a try styled the way you have. 🙂
Spot on! You look so classy! Have a fun day.
Like this look…how much is Lash Boost
Absolutely perfect outfit! I am a “classic” gal for sure. Have fun on the trip!
Lovely look. I would love to wear it like that. So now you feel what we have to go through when our pictures are taken. And hubby says: smile! you don’t look good when you’r e not smiling! Yeah, thanks a lot, now I really feel like taking a hole lot of pictures!
Love the outfit! Taking the plunge and just ordered the Lash Boost from R&F. I want eyelashes like yours!!
I have to admit that I love a blazer because it adds such an air of sophistication to the most basic of shirts!!
And your jewelry rocks, Tania!!

ps..I can’t believe you didn’t get your sister videoing her dancing—LOL!
My staple outfit! Love it!
Also if you think you’re showing to much foot for in this cute flats. I always cuff my pants and make them more like able pants…. Don’t know why, but it seems to work better.
Coronado is beautiful and it was a true island until the connected it. Did you know that Navy Seals train on Coronado Beach? It can be quire entertaining if you are close to the Navy base in the evening and it may sound like WWW3 is breaking out! My brother is a retired Navy Commander and we spent a lot of time there. Enjoy and please go to La Jolla to the seal beach and walk the town. Fabulous place!
Ooh la la ! Tres chic . Such a pretty ensemble . Eyelashes included !
A navy or black blazer is a classic and a must have for your wardrobe……looks great. So happy that you and your sister are having a great time. Also glad the weather is good. You make me laugh….walking billboard. If you are ever in NC, I would love to meet you. ~Lisa~
A white T with navy is just so elegant. Fabulous with the touch of colour from the necklace.
Oh wow I can so relate to the feeling of someone taking photos of you – I always feel like that and hope no one is looking…if they are I pretend they are my imagination and in reality they are not there at all – haha.
