This colorful animal print top is perfect for Spring, Summer, or Fall. What I need to be styling is a rain trench, waterproof boots, and a cute umbrella. The rain is pouring here and doesn’t show any signs of stopping any time soon. The 10-day forecast shows rain EVERY SINGLE DAY! I’d start building an Ark, except that building materials are sky-high right now. Lol!
Going BOLD with a Colorful Animal Print!
But, I am not going to complain since many people would love to see rain falling from the sky. Instead, I will talk about this gorgeous, BOLD fall outfit that all started with a colorful animal print.
Colorful Animal Print Tee
Since I already styled this colorful animal print top with a denim jacket and jeans, I thought I would style it a smidge dressier today. Animal print is always in style, and this colorful animal print is a leopard of a different color. The colors in this top look like fall to me, and I think it will look great styled with caramel.
This top is one that you can style for the rest of the summer, and it will transition into fall easily. Simply adding a layer of warmth like a jacket, blazer, or cardigan will keep you warm when the temps start to drop. The top is a size 1, and it fits me great.
Pull-On Style Pants
I’ve recently started to embrace the pull-on style pants. The brands have gotten better at making pull-on pants look stylish instead of frumpy. But, I was on the fence about ordering these pull-on wide-leg pants because they also had pleats. Pleats aren’t a friend of someone who carries their weight in their tummy area. I have the tee untucked, so you can’t see the pleats in this photo. But, if you scroll down to the bottom, you will see a couple of photos where I have done a half-tuck with the tee.
I was pleasantly surprised; I didn’t think that the pleats looked bad at all. The Ecru color is a soft version of white, and it is great for wearing even in the wintertime with sweaters or cardigans. I am wearing a medium, and they fit me great.
Mixed Metal Jewelry
This mixed metal jewelry set is one that I find myself reaching for a lot lately. I love wearing gold and silver together, but mixing them doesn’t come naturally to me since I was always taught to wear one or the other. So, when I find jewelry that does the mixing for me, I am a happy camper.
The 18″ multi-strand necklace, the multi-chain bracelet, and the mixed metal hoop earrings take the work out of mixing metals. You can literally wear this jewelry set with anything since the metals are bound to match! Here are a few more styles that you might also like in mixed metals:
The funny thing about living in a small town is that you’ll run into people you know all of the time. They will also look at you like you are crazy when you are wearing a cardigan, and it is 90 degrees outside. Lol!
The last part of my outfit is a pair of neutral shoes. The bold cardigan and the colorful animal print tee were enough color, so I didn’t want to draw attention to my feet. These neutral pointy-toe flats are a pair that I wear a lot because they go with anything. The pointy toe elongates my leg and makes me look taller and thinner than I really am. These shoes run true to size, and I am wearing my usual size 9.
