SHARE THE GOOD NEWS
I never watch the evening news. It is always so depressing to me, and they hardly ever have anything good to say. I don’t need to know when someone is brutally killed in Michigan if I live in Virginia. I don’t even want to know that there are child molesters out there, much less a blow-by-blow account of the crime. I like to consider myself an Ostrich with my head in the sand.
What if instead of bad news, we decide to share the good news instead? Has anything happened in the world that is good news? Joe has a couple of sayings about good news. One is that “nothing really bad, or nothing really good, last a really long time.” In other words, hold on when things are bad, things will surely start to look up. And when things are going great, enjoy it while it lasts.
His other saying is, “the sun doesn’t shine on the same dogs rear all the time.” Your tail may not have seen the sun in a while, but there is always hope. Lol! Yes, my husband is very colorful!
Just for today, let’s share the good news. Have you lost weight? Have you been cured of a disease? Are you going to have a baby in the family? Got a promotion, bought a house, found a job, or have an upcoming wedding?
Today I am wearing the cutest top ever! This is a bell sleeved white crocheted dress/top that Classy Closet gave me to style. I am in love with this top, I can see me getting a lot of wear from this top this summer. I think it is going to even look adorable with shorts. I can’t wait to get the shorts out and give it try. I had at least 4 people tell me they thought I looked cute today. These are people who see me everyday, so it’s not like they were just being nice. Haha
The jeans are by Izod and I have had them for years. I have just recently started wearing them again, I have been wearing the skinny jeans, so these are a welcome change. I think they look nicer with a high heel, it makes them a little dressier. However, I think I am going to wear them with a pair of gray converse sneakers the next time, so you can judge for yourself. Here is a tummy-control capri jean and here is a plus size pair.
My nude heels are by Naturalizer. They are a brand that is usually comfortable for those who have feet issues. These have never hurt me, even from day one.
I am wearing a crystal and pearl necklace by Chloe and Isabel, and one that is by Monarch Inspirations. I bought that one in Marietta at a tea shop on the square, but here are some items that Amazon carries.
This is my re-enactment from the movie “Runaway Bride.” If you have seen the movie, she tries on a wedding dress and loves the way it makes a swishing sound when she rocks back and forth.
Now for some good news from me, I was contacted last night by an ad agency regarding a possible partnership. Nothing might come from it, but the good news is that someone actually noticed me. So what is your good news? Let’s all share on here and share the post on FaceBook. Wouldn’t it be great if for one day FaceBook was flooded with good news?

The white crochet top looks adorable on you! Sadly they sold out before I could order one for myself!
I saw that, sorry:(
Love the whole outfit! The top is adorable, as well as the shoes. I don’t watch much tv at all, I mostly listen to the radio. The news doesn’t seem so horrible coming from the radio, and of course you don’t have the horrendous graphics. My positive news is that we have two weddings in the family this summer! Look forward to reading your blog daily!
TWO weddings!!! Pretty neat, unless you’re the one paying for them. Lol! Congratulations to your family.
Thanks for sharing your positive encouragement to spread joy! What a great idea. Cute outfit! And congrats on the possible “ad”venture! – Amy

Thanks Amy!
I really like this outfit! Super cute top! Lots of good things in my life right now. No one big item. But I can name a few small ones: 1. We are taking dance classes and loving them. 2. We are making progress on rental house renovations. 3. My husband is loving his new hobby, beekeeping. 4. I am going to see my grandbabies this coming weekend!
🙂

Sounds like lots of good news! I love it!!! Be sure to kiss the grand babies for me:)
Hey, let’s not single out Michigan to beat up on! Michigan is a wonderful state. We have the Great Lakes and so many indoor lakes for boating, fishing and skiing. Our summer weather is beautiful. We have lighthouses and gorgeous Mackinac Island where the only transportation is horse carriages. We have the Detroit RED WINGS which are in the hockey playoffs tonight against Tampa Bay Lightning. We have a tradition of throwing octopus on the ice at playoff games (octopus have 7 arms and there are 7 games in playoffs). We have the Detroit Tigers and you have never seen fans like the Wings and Tiger baseball fans. We have the FOX theater, Comerica Park, the Henry Ford and Greenfield Village. We have a new ice arena to open in 2017. This is the home of the auto industry which makes the U.S. economy tick. And TOM SELLECK is from Detroit! Talk about eye candy! Now that ladies is good news. 🙂
Haha That makes me laugh Sharon. Yeah, Tom Select and Sam Elliott are eye candy, no matter their age. Lol!
Why is it that guys like Tom Selleck and Sam Elliott are still hunks and women their age are pretty much considered old. NOT FAIR! Tom is older than me but oh my, he is handsome!
Hi Tania. I read your blog every day and love it. Congratulations on your good news. It seems that you’ve really got this blog thing going full steam ahead. Yay for you! Thank you for this “good news” post. Reading through the comments I was sitting here smiling. Happy for the good news of all these strangers who were commenting. You made that happen! Spreading joy is a really great achievement!
The comments have made me smile also, Jo.?
Nice day for one of your sayings – my daughter is six weeks pregnant her husband walked out on her last night – he has another women. So the bad won’t last for ever and happiness will return in the form of a new little life. So we look forward and take the good with the bad. I find your blog inspiring especially on this day. I am happy for you that good things are coming your way.
The silver lining is sometimes hard to see, but it is there. We may not realize it till years later. A new life will be such a blessing ?
What a pretty outfit – it looks so ‘summery’ (as we are moving towards winter in NZ)! Thank you for brightening my day.
Love the outfit!!! As always, you brighten my day! The news can be depressing! Seems like a train wreck, once you start watching it’s hard to turn it off…. lately I’ve been watching the Waltons, during the pm newstime, and it’s sooo! much better! My daily dose of positive is giving Thanks for the simple things the Lord has provided!
Thanks Tania!
Good for you! You are a kick and brighten my day! I love seeing what you are wearing. You always look cheerful …no somber news on this blog! My good news to share are we are spending July in Europe. We are crossing on the Queen Mary II and then on to Europe. Right now I’m deciding what to take. Another good piece of news is I’ve been making some lifestyle changes. Lots of yummy roasted veggies. Everything that goes into my mouth has to be highly nutritious. I’ve lost 15 pounds easily. I eat a lot and I’m never hungry. So the weight loss means new clothes! Dare I say it…. I don’t like to shop. I usually wear the same style of jeans and I have 6 or 8 t-shirts that I change out. So very boring. But they are cute Tees! Since reading your blog I’ve become more interested in shopping again. Tomorrow will be my first trip to the mall in years. So hopefully I can keep some of your styling in my mind and not come back with blue jeans and t-shirts… lol! Cheers!
