NOT A CREATURE WAS STIRRING
The house is soooo quite. It is almost eerie, no noise of any kind, except for the clicking of my fingers on the keyboard. I miss the kiddos already, and they haven’t been gone for 24 hours yet. It takes a little while to get use to the craziness, but it is going to take just as long to adjust to our quiet lifestyle again.
Those of you who stay at home will understand the outfits I am showing over the next couple of days. I stayed at home while everyone was in visiting, so I have on more causal outfits. I have been asked before what I wear on the weekends, or if I ever have a none dress-up day, and this is pretty much those days. You can tell that my makeup is not quite as pronounced, and I simply have on a top and a pair of shorts.
When I leave out the door to go to the store, shopping, or go to the movies, I’ll throw on some jewelry and usually swipe a little more blush on. I’ll always apply a layer of lip stain before going out the door. Lol!
This necklace is one of my new necklaces that I bought the other day from Plunder. This necklace is not in the regular catalog, it is a special order. When you go to the plunder website, they have a section that is for specials. This one is called the Stevie, and the one I broke is the Trudy. Anyone can order from the specials section, you do not have to be a stylist. The bracelet is called the Faye bracelet. I wore it the other day with it’s matching necklace in this post.
The top is the palest of pink. I used to wear pink all of the time, but I have gotten away from the color in the past couple of years. I bought this at the Prime Outlets when I was in Orlando with my BFF Sandy, at the Van Heusen store.
Pale Pink Top: Similar | Similar |Â Plus (with lace detail)Sorry for the ugly leg shot, I hope you have already had your breakfast. Lol! I love the color of these shorts, they are the brightest shade of turquoise. I can’t remember where I bought them from, and there is no tag inside. Whoops, sorry.
Turquoise Shorts: Similar | Similar | Plus My slip-on Nina Shoes (c/o) are fast becoming a summer staple. They are great quality, and they will go with ANYTHING!!! If I didn’t love the shoes, I would love the name, (Virginia) Haha! That’s me!!!
I am off now to catch up on some work. Since I have been off for a few days, I am swamped at work. I hope to have everything back to normal in a few days. As my sweet Matti B. would say, “Don’t leave me gurls!”?
Anytime you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol!
The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.
This is also something I WANT and NEED: Â I have added a subscription button to the blog, right under the recent posts tab. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to sign up. You will then be notified by email when a new post is made.

Love the casual look. I always wonder if style bloggers ever have dress down days. Your Plunder jewelry is so cute, I love that bracelet.
Oh, yes, we have down days. But, we just keep those days to ourselves. ?
I adore everything about your blog – ?? thanks so much, & please keep em coming!!!!
I disagree with the reader who commented that a fashion post without a link to the item is not helpful. I just love to see how you put things together- for example, I did not think about putting my turquoise pants with a pale pink top, And I love the multicolor necklace with it, so while I know I could order it from Plunder, I also may look for one while I am out shopping my regular haunts (love TJMax, Ross, Marshall’s, etc.!). I don’t usually use your links- you inspire me to put old or new pieces together in new ways and to look for new styles while I am shopping. Thanks for what you do!!!
Thanks Debbie?
I agree.
You inspired me to buy some white jeans… haven’t worn them yet, but I’m going to bust them out ( hopefully not literally lol) for the Fourth of July!
I bet you will fall in love with them like I have!
Cute simple outfit! The necklace is perfect with it and I love all the colors in it. I am going to order it! 🙂
I really enjoy your blog! You always look so cute too!
While I enjoy reading your stories, I feel the fashion side of your blog is lacking! I love your fashion sense but I find it hard to understand why you post pictures describing your outfits that are NOT available anywhere! And the links that you include are not even close to what you are wearing. Your accessories are more on point and current and are usually available from your links.
I work full time and love pulling outfits together for work that I find while cruising thru the internet and pinterest for fashion blogs showing older women how to be fashion forward with today’s styles. I find it very frustrating when the blogger consistently posts outfits that are not available. I could handle a little variance in the style links, but most of yours are not even close!
You do have the most adorable blog – I think you have done amazing for the time you have been blogging – an obvious natural! I love collecting stuff too I’m afraid – perpetually plan to tidy up office – but there is always too much else to do!
Wishing you an awesome weekend.
