Turtlenecks are one of those things – you either love them or hate them! Since I’ve never met a fashion item that I don’t have at least a little bit of love for, you know which side I fall on, lol. I’ve included several different types, so hopefully something for everyone. Without further ado, here are nine great turtlenecks you’re sure to love!

Nine Great Turtlenecks You’re Sure To Love – Ribbed

This Fisherman sweater is gorgeous! I love the 100% cotton fabric; it feels so nice against my skin. I’m a fan of the longer length of this sweater, and the large is the correct size for me. Man, oh man, this is such a pretty, nice medium-weight sweater!

Let’s start with a classic ribbed turtleneck. This is from one of my favorite retailers – Talbots. I like the hem and the buttons on the cuff. This would look worn by itself or as a layered piece under a jacket or vest. The description says that the stripes are metallic. Nice! Available in Misses, Petite, and Plus.

Everyone should own at least one classic turtleneck. This is 95% cotton and 5% spandex and would be perfect as a base layer. I like the navy, but it’s available in black, red, white, and bone as well. This is available in Misses, Petite, Plus, and Petite Plus sizes!

This is the perfect turtleneck. I mean, it’s right there in the name! It looks very similar to the one above but it’s 56% Cotton, 25% Modal, 16% Nylon, and 3% Spandex. This is a great weight for transitioning from winter to spring. There are several colors at the link, and they are available in Misses, Petite, and Plus sizes.

Nine Great Turtlenecks You’re Sure To Love – Sweater

You know I’m a huge fan of Fair Isle sweaters. I did an entire post about them last year! The snowflake pattern is bright and cheery, and I love the split hem. This is more of a mock turtleneck than a traditional type and is thick and fluffy. Available in Misses, Petite, and Petite Plus.

This beauty is from Talbots too, and it just looks so COZY! I love the classic camel color and the large weave. Don’t let the open weave fool you. The reviews say that this sweater is very warm. If you don’t love the color, it’s also available in a gorgeous pale blue.

Speaking of a gorgeous pale blue, here’s a great option from Amazon. I thought it was similar in shape to the one above, but now that I have them together, all I can see is the differences. Hmm. I like them both! This one is much more oversized, and the sleeves and hem are longer. Obviously, the weave is also tighter. So basically, they don’t look alike at all, lol.

Here’s another waffle turtleneck that I think looks incredibly comfy and cozy. This is a great causal turtleneck that would work until spring temperatures start to rise. Throw it on with a great pair of jeans and suede boots, and hit the street! This is available in nine different colors and is machine washable.

Finally, I love this color-block turtleneck sweater. It reminds me of a sweater I bought over 30 years ago to wear on a date with Joe, lol. Hey, it did the trick back then! You can wear this tucked in or out, and with jeans or leggings. If you’re not a fan, it’s available in many other versions.

These are all great turtlenecks! It would be hard to say no to any of them. I love your eyebrow treatment thing. My eyebrows are doing a disappearing act, which I read is a telltale sign of…..aging! Horrors! Can the treatment you get color eyebrows that aren’t there anymore? That would be great. Something to think about……

    1. No, it wouldn’t help that issue. I have a scar from when I was a child, and it didn’t color that area.

  2. Laura Barnett says:

I loved the blue turtleneck from Amazon and immediately went online and ordered it in taupe. I also loved the colorblind sweater! Beautiful choices.

  3. sue koren says:

I don’t wear turtlenecks any more – they just make my double chin even bigger. They look good on you though!

  4. Hi Tania,
I love the sweaters, especially the color block one. Maybe I should try the eyebrows because mine are thin.
    Thanks,
    Janna

I love turtlenecks so thank you for sharing these! Your brows are going to look beautiful when they are healed. I’ve had permanent brows for several years, and I really like them. They will definitely lightened up and will look more natural once they are healed. Recently, I’ve been thinking about having them laminated, so I’m eager to find out what you think!

  6. I’m new to your blog and I am loving it! Thank you for sharing scripture verses. It makes my heart happy to know there are other women in the world living for God

  7. Pretty sweaters. I like a loose turtleneck – otherwise I feel claustrophobic!

  8. Jane Martin says:

I like the light blue cable turtleneck. I was surprised it was from Amazon and is 100% cotton. Very nice.
I like your eyebrows too. Everyone I know that had their’s done, think their brows are too dark. I don’t think yours are too dark. Darker eyebrows lift the face. Faded eyebrows make a person look tired. Bravo for you!

  9. I love a good turtleneck! I even own the red one. Wore it for Christmas this year.

  10. Barbara Forney says:

Very good choices- love the light blue turtleneck.

  11. You look good in the light blue sweater. I love a turtleneck sweater. Keeps me warm.

  12. Christal Yowell says:

I confess I’m not a turtle neck girl, but some of these sweaters are very nice- maybe if they were a moc???

  13. I love the look of turtlenecks, but I’m not comfortable with the tightness around my neck. I prefer the looser cowl necks or mock necks.

I tried the eyebrow tint, but wasn’t that happy with the outcome. About 3 years ago I went ahead and had my eyebrows micro bladed. I love them. The only maintenance is to pluck a few errant hairs and a touch up every few years.

  14. I love cotton turtlenecks! Thanks for the suggestions.

  15. Vickey F Vaughan says:

You are so brave to post your eyebrow pictures online. They look good though in the blue turtle neck sweater picture.

  16. Love the color blocked sweater. So classic!

  17. Pam Bowling says:

I love turtleneck sweaters! You gave us some beautiful options. The red fair isle sweater is gorgeous.

  18. Love a turtleneck sweater. That blue looks so good on you! Thanks for the recommendations!

  19. Your eyebrows don’t look bad. They’re always darker right after but believe they will lighten soon enough. I can’t stand anything up to neck anymore. I feel like I’m choking so I don’t wear turtle necks. I prefer mock turtlenecks. I do have an old turtleneck that doesn’t choke me. it’s black and charcoal with stripes from JCPenney. It has lasted so long that I looked at what’s it’s made of. It’s mostly cotton and 9 percent cashmere. I couldn’t believe it. All this time I didn’t know I had something with cashmere. Since it’s such a small amount is probably why it’s not itchy. The stripes make it on trend plus it’s so warm. You look good in your turtlenecks.

  20. Linda Shearer says:

Love the Talbots grey metallic sweater.

  21. Louise Logan says:

    Great turtlenecks!! So classic!

  22. I have become a fan of color block sweaters and that black and white one is gorgeous. Because I am a little claustrophobic, I can’t wear anything tight around my neck so cowl necks are my choice.

  23. I love browing tinting. I have mine tinted every three weeks when I get a hair cut. My hair is white so without the tinting, I look very washed out. With the tinting, I don’t need a brow pencil for color or filling in. The Groucho Marx effect is just the dye on you skin. Once you wash you face with a good cleanser, I think you will like the outcome.

  24. Love turtlenecks especially mock necks.
I liked having my eyebrows tinted but didn’t last very long. It will be interesting to see how long your tinting lasts.

  25. Stella Gustafson says:

I use to not wear Turtlenecks wh n I grew up it was like wearing a choker collar. But today’s turtlenecks are so much more relaxed and comfortable

  26. Lisa Tharp says:

Turtleneck sweaters are my winter favorites. I have that blue sweater and love it. The colorblock sweater looks nice, too.

  27. Love these sweaters. Love the black and gray and the blue one! I would love to have my eyebrows done. My daughter did and loved not having to do them.

  28. I will be following your eyebrows 😉

  29. Great sweaters which are a must for winter.

  30. LOL, You will love having your eyebrows tinted. I look like Groucho Marx, while the tint is applied to my eyebrows. Once it’s removed, they’re a little darker, but they also look fuller. Hang in there.

    1. I can’t wait to take a shower later today and see how they look.

      1. I’ve had this done, as a blonde with some grey in the brows it fades completely after a week of nightly cleansing my face and showering. I’ve gone back to the brow mascara.

  31. The fair isle red one is very different & nice thx

  32. I think I own 5 of the ribbed turtlenecks from Talbots. They are my favorite and you are right, they can be worn alone, under another sweater, cardigan, blazer or vest. I love turtlenecks, I have a long, skinny neck, that is starting to sag…..lol. I like hiding it, when I can. Great post! I prefer the more “fitted” sweaters, not a fan of the baggy look. I think they make me look bigger.

    1. Those ribbed turtlenecks are fabulous. I only have them in solids, but I think I need to add a striped one.

  33. Kelly Brooks says:

I love turtlenecks just get so hot. It really has to be cold for me to wear them the older I get.
