MARCH CAME IN LIKE A LION
Good morning everyone! I asked the question on FaceBook yesterday about March 1st coming in like a Lion or a Lamb. I don’t really know how to categorize our day because it was warm but really windy and overcast. But it made me curious where the saying even came from so I did what we all do nowadays and I Googled it. Lol! It seems back in the “old days” they thought evil spirits changed the weather and that everything balanced itself out. Sounds kind of like Ying and Yang weather to me.
To go just a little bit further, I searched the Farmers Almanac for other weather-related sayings. Yes, I was bored! Some of these I had heard and some I hadn’t.
-
March winds and April showers bring forth May flowers.
-
A dry March and a wet May? Fill barn and bays with corn and hay.
-
As it rains in March so it rains in June
-
Ring around the moon? Rain real soon
-
Rainbow in the morning gives you fair warning
I guess you have all had your weather lesson this morning. But I will give you one more, March is unpredictable so be prepared for anything. Lol!
This fine gauge knit sweater is from Cato’s. I bought it last year and it has a polished finish. The sweater feels really smooth and soft and it’s look is higher end. A good navy sweater will be something that you can use for years and years. I believe they call this a classic piece. Wow! That almost sounds like I know what I am talking about. Lol! The last time I wore this sweater I wore it with beige pants but I still had a pop of color in the look.
I love the navy and white print on these crop pants. These are Pixie Pants that are from Old Navy. For some reason, ladies have gotten the idea that Old Navy is a store for younger ladies. Nothing could be farther from the truth, this store is one of my favorite stores to shop at. It is also one of the stores that I can drive to in a two-hour time frame. EVERYTHING is at least two hours away from me. Haha!
BTW, just in case you were wondering, March came in like a huge overgrown angry LION today. It poured the rain and the wind was crazy. There were trees down over roads and several people had roof damage in the county. I sure look forward to the LAMB coming at the end of the month.
I realize that not everyone is interested in my Rodan and Fields adventure so I am trying to find ways to let the ones who are interested and love the products get that information, and the ones who don’t want to see anything R & F related can quickly move along. It is a work in progress and when I figure out how then I’ll let you know what I am doing. In the mean time, the limited time offer will only be available until the 9th. That offer is for a 20% discount off of the purchase of any regimen AND the Lash Boost as a bundle. If you are a preferred customer or become one, then you will receive another 10% off PLUS free shipping and handling. The cost of enrollment for a preferred customer is 19.95 and I will refund you that along with a mini cream for you to try. To sign up as a preferred customer just click here and to look at the Lash Boost bundle specials just click here.

We’re seasoned.. not old..
I’ve tried twice to order from Plunderdesign.com and I get an error that says I have an invalid stylist ID. How do I order through the link you provide?
Thank you.
I am sorry you are having problems, Carolyn. Try going to http://www.plunderdesign.com/party/tania2 That should work but if you have any additional problems just let me know. I hope yo fall in love with Plunder like I have.
Tania, can you tell me what shoes you are wearing?
Hi, Terri. Those are by Aerosole. This is not the exact pair but it is close. https://api.shopstyle.com/action/apiVisitRetailer?id=468450689&pid=uid2761-32973931-86
Thanks!
I have a question about your earrings. I love them, but are they heavy? I am trying to be careful about the weight of earrings so I don’t have stretched out earlobes!
I am a new subscriber and am loving your blog! I agree with other comments that those Pixie Pants are super slimming on you! I’ve tried to find a pair that fits me to no avail, but you’ve inspired me to try again! Old Navy, here I come!
I originally found your blog while searching (without success) for a Mother of the Bride style. I was getting pretty discouraged by the models used for these ‘mature’ styles being younger than the average bride, not to mention a size zero, which most M.O.B.s are not! Thank goodness I stumbled upon your blog, where a woman of my age can get some inspiration to not look dumpy and frumpy. Your style is fresh, achievable, and appropriate! I love every outfit AND your commentary!
Wow! Meg, you certainly gave me the big head this morning. Lol! I agree with you about the models and the sizes and that is one of the reasons I started this blog. I was searching just like you for fashion inspiration and soon got frustrated. I figured if I was frustrated then others might be also.
As far as the earrings go I do not consider them heavy. It is probably because of the filigree.
Great outfit and thanks for encouraging Old Navy. I am one of those that think of it as a young store and need to spend time there. In fact, you have worn great tights from there and need to stock up in those so will go there soon. I’m a March birthday girl myself so with Joe a happy one!
Christina, you really do need to shop there. There are plenty of items you will like you just have to look at them individually. How you style them determines everything. Just because they pair a top with a pair of pants on a mannequin doesn’t mean that you can’t wear the same top with jeans or a skirt. Just have fun!
I love your outfit! Have a great day.
You too, Nancy!
I live, and grew up about 20 miles from Charleston, SC. Our weather quote is, Pink sky at night, sailor’s delight; Pink sky at morning, sailor take warning! Pretty sound advice actually!
I am new to the blog, but have been saving your outfits on Pinterest for awhile.
~Barbara
Barbara, welcome to the blog! You are a southern belle. I use that saying all the time too.
Barbara,
I’m a little further inland (SC) and have heard similar quote with color being the only change “Red sky at night, sailor’s delight, Red sky at morning, sailor’s take warning!”
Great outfit Tania. Love your weather quotes – it’s dreadful weather here today!!!

LOL Yvonne
It was really yucky here. I am hoping for better weather today!
You look super slim in this outfit Tania and I ADORE that necklace ?
SLIM??? Wow, I love that comment. Lol! I adore the necklace also, it is very feminine.
Your outfit is very sharp. I love the blue. What is your favorite Plunder piece? I am sure it is hard to choose. I plan to order.
Thanks, Debra. It is a very simple outfit and sometimes those are the best. Oh my, what is my favorite piece??? That is really hard. I think my favorite piece would be the ones that I could get the most wear from. I love my bling items but they might not be appropriate for all occasions. My favorite necklaces would be the Annie, Loudene, and the Destiny. My favorite bracelets are the Lindy, Edith, Eunice, and all the bling and boho bangles. Lol! I love bracelets. My favorite earrings are the Ashton and the Mason. Whew! that’s a bunch, sorry it wasn’t shorter.
