I haven’t told you gurls a good Joe story in a while, but that is changing today. How many of you are the go-to person when it comes to setting up accounts, paying the bills, making appointments, etc.? I am that person in our household because Joe doesn’t have the patience it takes to do the tedious details or the patience for the amount of time involved. So, when he decided to turn on his Sirius XM radio, I knew that it was going to be interesting.

In his defense, he had asked me to take care of this for him MULTIPLE times, but when I would remember he was not around. And, when he was around, I was tired, doing something else, or I just plain forgot. In frustration, he decided to learn how to do some things by himself. He honked the truck horn for me to come outside so I could help him answer questions. If you’ve ever spoken to Joe or me, then you know that we have a southern accent. It is hard for some people in the US to understand, but for those who are in other countries, it is quite hard for them to understand what we are telling them. And, their accents are not easy for our Appalachian ears to decipher either.

Joe was already in a “mood” because he was having to do this himself. But, after jumping through the hoops of getting the radio ID, the account, etc., the gentleman told Joe, “I have good news for you. You’ve qualified for our PREMIUM channels.” Joe and I looked at each other in mock surprise and started to crack up. Then the guy said that the price would only be $30+ per month plus a one-time activation of $15. That took the smile off of his face, and he said that he wanted a smaller package. The guy then came back with it being $21+ per month. Joe said, “I don’t think that you are understanding me, I’m not paying that much for radio. He put Joe on hold to “talk to his supervisor” and then he told Joe that he could waive the $15 activation fee. The steam started coming out of Joe’s ears at that time, and so did a string of words that my fingers aren’t allowed to type. Finally, he told the young man that unless he could get the price down to around $100 a year, they just needed to hang up. After about 2 minutes of silence, Joe has given the price of $8 a month, which he accepted. He was so proud of his negotiating skills, and I just hope that encourages him to do more mundane tasks instead of yelling, “Hey, Tania. I need you to do something for me.” Lol!

This Lace Trim Linen Navy V-Neck top is very cute, very cool, and very thin. The linen tops are comfortable, and they do keep you cool in the summer, but I do want to warn you that they are thin. If you look closely at the top of my pants, you can see the print that shows a tiny bit. I always try to give you a heads up if that is the case. That is why I try to order things in and try them on for you. That gives you an idea of the fit, the look, and what my impression is. I am wearing a size 1 in the top and it fits me great.

Do you remember when I styled the gorgeous blue and white print Lilly Pulitzer pants? I have been on a printed pants kick ever since those pants since I loved them so much. These So Slimming Brigitte Ankle pants in the Aquatic Print remind me of a tribal pattern. I love the beautiful colors of these pants, that is where the aquatic part comes in. I have learned to size down in my Chico’s clothing, and I am wearing a size .5, even though I will wear a 10 in other brands.

I love the Gia navy sandals with the Rattan buckle. These are so cute, and I am going to wear these for several years. The crisscross on the toe is comfortable, and they don’t slide off my feet when I walk. I am wearing my usual size 9 in these shoes and they fit me great.

To God Goes The Glory!

John 9:24-25

24 A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. “Give glory to God by telling the truth,” they said. “We know this man is a sinner.” 25 He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”

Not me, but my late mother liked to top her peanut butter sandwich with a slice of onion. My own weird combo is just Miracle whip spread on top of saltine crackers.

Cute outfit and love the Joe story. Sounds familiar!!

    1. Lol! I think that a lot of us have some “Joe” in us. Hahaha

  4. I love those shoes! I’m seeing lime green toenails. I’m kidding but I think hot pink really looks good with navy sandals. I try not to buy thin tops because I’m slightly busty and I feel uncomfortable in them. It’s hard to find a top that isn’t thin and almost sheer these days even in button down shirts. I love striped, flowered or geo pants. Most are only two colors like blue and white but I have a few that are bold. You are looking thin and fit. It must be nice to be able to wear anything and look georgeous!

    1. I am still trying to eat healthier and lose a few more pounds, but it is a daily struggle.

  5. It’s always easy to negotiate with Sirius because they don’t want to lose you as a customer. I just wish they would lower the price instead of me having to say I am canceling because of the raise in monthly charges after my yearly contract is up. Once you say you want to cancel, they always offer a lower price. So why not just lower your prices? Seems reasonable to me.

    1. I’ll have to remember to tell Joe that. He will love to know that he gets to negotiate again in a year. Lol!

  6. Just started following your site. So far I like what I see. Thanks for the Bible verses each day. Have a great weekend and stay safe and well.
