50 IS NOT OLD | CALL ME THE QUEENGood morning everyone! I have a laid back kind of day planned. I am going to go to the grocery store (yuck, I hate going to the grocery store) and I am going to buy ingredients to try some of your recipes. I am not a great cook, so the easiest ones will be the first ones I try. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | CALL ME THE QUEENThis is about as laid back as my outfits get. With the exception of my pajamas, this is comfy and casual. A soft tank top and a stretchy pair of capri pants make a perfect hop around town, or even just lounge on the couch and watch TV outfit. Just because you are staying at home, does not mean you should stay in your pajamas. Haha These pants are just as comfortable as yoga or pajama pants, and they are waaaay cuter.50 IS NOT OLD | CALL ME THE QUEENI bought this top many, many years ago. The top is by Vanilla Sugar, and I have no idea where I bought it. I remember liking the graphics, but I had no idea what it said. The best I can figure out, it loosely is saying, “Call me the Queen.” You gurls who speak Spanish might be able to give me a better translation. When I bought the top, I also bought a pair of pants. They were what I referred to as my Mick Jagger pants. They were in the same navy and beige color, but they had vertical 2 inch stripes. That was my rock and roll look! I have no idea where the pants got to, I think I took them to my sister who immediately turned up her nose.

50 IS NOT OLD | CALL ME THE QUEENSince I was feeling the rock and roll vibe, I added my Plunder necklaces which I feel have that same attitude. The star necklace is called the Arianna, and its pendant says, “Arise and Shine.” I think I can do that. The cross necklace is called the Nellie, and it has several charms that are attached to it. One is a feather with the red ball, (matches the Nancy earrings) one is a tag that says “Have Mercy,” and the last charm is a large clear rhinestone.50 IS NOT OLD | CALL ME THE QUEENI have on several bangle bracelets to stay in the rock and roll vibe. They are the Bobby, the Frances, the Halsey, and the Odette. Each one has a cute tag with a saying that makes the bangle special. The other bracelets are the Edith and the Eunice. If you purchase any of the Plunder jewelry, just type my stylist number in the box when you go to checkout (241007). I have started an online party, and there is a dropdown box where you can choose Tania’s P Party at checkout. If you would like to have an online or FaceBook party, contact me and I will help you set everything up.50 IS NOT OLD | CALL ME THE QUEENLook how well all these different shades of beige go together. These pants are Old Navy pixie pants, and as I said earlier, they are super comfortable. They have a lot of stretch in the fabric which lets them move with you, but it also makes them fit close to your skin. You sure don’t see a lot of “baggy” extra material. When I wear pants that fit this tight, I will try to make my top a little longer. I don’t want those extra lumps and bumps in the baggage area showing. Haha

Stretch Capri Pants: Similar | JC Penney | Karen Kane | Plus50 IS NOT OLD | CALL ME THE QUEENThe sandals I have on are new. I bought them at the QVC overstock store when they recently had a shoe sale. They have SEVERAL pallets of fall and winter shoes and clothing that have already arrived, so they are having sales to move out their summer products. All open-toe shoes are on sale for 15.00. I couldn’t pass up this cute Rialto pair. The color will go with almost anything, and the gold accents make them look a little nicer than just plain sandals. With shoes, as well as clothing, it is all in the details. The little extra touches make the difference between plain and extraordinary.

  1. Hi Tania….thinking of placing an order with Chloe & Isbel for some of the pieces you have shown…..do you have a current promo code to offer by chance? Thanks and have a great weekend!

    1. Amy, they had a promo on summer accessories that went off on Friday. Not for any jewelry, just on scarves, sunglasses, etc. At this time, there is nothing going on that I am aware of. Every so often they do have a sale, but I don’t know when the next one would be. The next time I get an email, I will post it on the blog.

  2. You are Queen! You make running around look effortless!! Thank you for sharing, I can’t imagine how you do it everyday and make it look fun and good. -julie (overfiftyinhollywood.blogspot.com)

  3. I absolutely love that tank top!!! Am thinking that I am going to have to go and check out this Plunder jewelry. Perhaps a birthday gift for my lovely sister. 🙂

  4. Tania love your bag – I hate grocery shopping and getting gas

  5. This is a very cute outfit and I also love shirts with funky sayings on them although I’m like you, sometimes I have no idea what it means? LOL, that could get me in trouble! i LOVE your Plunder jewelry!!!! I’m addicted to necklaces, bracelets and earrings, especially they kind that have little sayings or quotes on them with little dangly “do-dads” hanging on them!!! Is Plunder a place you can order any time you want or do you need to become a member? I need to check it out SOON!! keep inspiring us Tania!! you help me put together new outfits with pieces already in my closet

  6. Your look is super cute, Tania! Dealing with 104-degree heat here in Texas, so my go-to for weekend errands is usually a sundress or maxi skirt and soft cotton top. Groceries and the farmers market this morning for me, and then a baking day! We’ve been watching the Great British Bakes show, and I’m inspired to make a lemon-raspberry tart for my son’s 29th birthday…….lets see how far inspiration can take me, LOL! I love your blog, and you’ve inspired me to start accessorizing more! I got my first Plunder package last week-they package everything up so cute-and I’m getting tons of compliments on my new necklaces! Have a great weekend!

    1. I have never heard of the Great British Bakes show, but we have not turned on the television in over a month. Since I started the blog, I don’t have time to surf the internet or watch TV ? That is not all bad, but I really do need to check in on some other bloggers, but I can’t seem to find the time now that I am playing golf in the afternoons. I am soooo glad you like the Plunder. I would hate to inspire you to purchase something you didn’t like. Send those ladies giving you compliments my way, or you could sign up and start selling the jewelry yourself.?

  7. Perfect outfit for the weekend, Tania. You are SO lucky to be close to the QVC outlet stores. My trip there in May makes me want to return. Such great deals! From your posts of their items, I’ve been able to pick buy some to spice up my wardrobe. I’m familiar with their sizing which is very helpful for on-line shopping.

    Have a great day!

    1. They have the best deals Audrey! Where did you go to the outlet at?

  8. Hi Tanya. Enjoying your blog. You talk often about shopping at a QVC outlet. Can you give me the location?

    Thanks for sharing!
    Becky

    1. I think there are some “official” QVC outlets, but not many. Where I buy my things, is from two little stores that purchase overstock merchandise from QVC, here in Grundy, Virginia. If you are thinking of making a trip to one of the stores near me, let me know and I will email you all the specifics.

  9. Your outfit really is adorable, Tania! I have purse envy for that Michael Kors handbag! It seems to go with everything. I have to ask, is your tan from the sun (I am sure it is)? I am only asking because it looks so good and wish I could get a tan but not supposed to get in the sun anymore (mainly my age spots just get browner!). I would love to find a good self tanner. Anyone know of a good one?
Thanks, Tania, for your blog…love it!

    1. My tan is straight from the bottle, Mary Lu. I haven’t been in the sun hardly at all this entire year. When we play golf, it is in the afternoons usually, after 5:00, so no tan from that. Here is my post where I tell you about the products I use, and how I apply them. Thanks for following!

    2. I just bought younique self tanner and it’s great a very natural tan not orange – I love their bronzer too. It is temporary but it’s great to make my white legs look tan

  10. Hey Tania!
Very cute top that translate to Queen, or you can call me simply Mom ?
    Enjoy your wknd!!

    1. Thanks Tania, I knew you would know ?
