Red BootsI..AM..STUFFED!!! I wore my jeans for Thanksgiving, but you gurls who wore leggings might have had a better idea. Lol! We had a lot of fun, a lot of food, and a lot of laughter. It was the perfect Thanksgiving!!! I loved hearing from several of you, and I hope all of you had the three Fs. Friends, Family, and Food!
Red sweater and red bootsJoe and his sister started talking about their mother, who passed away four years ago. We laughed at some of the memories, especially when it came to her method of cooking. When she cooked, she only had one temperature…HIGH! Every pot would be at a rolling boil, and the entire house was so hot from all of the steam. When I put the rolls in the oven to brown, they both busted out laughing. MaMaw never cooked rolls that the tops weren’t burnt to a crisp. Now I have a good comeback anytime I burn the bread, “I am just following the recipe that your mom gave me.” Lol!
red sweaterThis shaker-stitch pullover from Old Navy is a beautiful color of red. I usually don’t care for hoods on my sweaters, but I like this one. Most of the time, I feel like I am being choked when I wear a hoodie, but this one is loose, and it didn’t feel confining. The top is boxy, so it doesn’t touch me anywhere around the waist. You will love this cozy sweater that you can wear at home or out running errands. I even bought this to wear with my pajama bottoms. Here is the link.
red boots and distressed jeansI wanted to give you a better look at the sweater from the side so that you could see the side split. Also, as you can see, it covers your tush in case you want to wear the sweater with leggings.
red boots with zipperOh my! That is what I said over four years ago when I bought then red boots with the gold zipper details. The pointed toes and the 2 3/4 heels are wonderful for how your legs look. The pointed toes elongate your legs, and the heels make your calves look great. I love the gold zippers up the side and across the back. I can’t believe these shoes are still available, but I found them for you. And they are much better priced than when I bought them four years ago. Here is the link.
red boots and distressed jeansI know that a lot of you don’t like distressed jeans, but I love them. These have more distressing than the one that I wore HERE, so you have the best of both worlds.  Here is the link to the distressed jeans.
red boots and red boots with zippersI posted these items that were on sale yesterday, but I figured that so many of you were so busy with family that you didn’t have time to look. So, here are the things that I picked out while I was looking at the deals.

Also, I have already started my Black Friday Sales Event on Rodan + Fields. If you would like to see those deals, then click here. And, R+F announced their own deal, starting today. They are waiving the enrollment fee for all new PC’s! Plus, if you purchase 200.00 in products, then they will gift you a Redefine Multi-Function Eye Cream.

  1. Love the red booties! Wish I could pull off something like that. Maybe have to step out of my comfort zone. Happy Thanksgiving from Austria. We’re celebrating a day late at my house since it’s not a holiday over here and we had to work.

You can do it, Alison! It is time to kick the comfort zone to the curb.

  2. Love the boots! You’re right, not a fan at all of the distressed or ripped up jeans. Maybe a pair of black slacks or even leggings would work.

That is how it is done, Gwen. You pick and choose the suggestions that will work best for you.

Just wait until you see tomorrow’s outfit. It is casual, warm, and fashionable.

    • Luv the sweater if w/out hoodie, jeans if not distressed, but the boots are exciting! You always look amazing! Thank you for all you do for us on this site! We are blessed by you

I thought this would be something that you would like, Mary.

  4. I love it! Otherwise, the phrase “good for you, not for me” works fine.

  5. Happy Thanksgiving hope it was wonderful love the red boots In fact like the whole outfit .enjoyed your post today

  6. Sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Your mother-in-law’s cooking temperature was just like my mother’s! Her baking was awesome but everything cooked on top of the stove was boiling and steaming away. Our kitchen was like a sauna! Thanks for sharing a bit of your life with us. It puts a smile on my face every time.

Glad you had a great Thanksgiving. Love the outfit though for me I am not a fan of the distressed jeans. Can’t see paying for something with holes in it. Just me.

    • You look perfect.. Wish I looked that good. Its nice to see someone so well put together.

  8. Love the whole outfit! You rock red and those booties are amazing!
It’s nice to reminisce about loved ones at the holidays and funny stories ease the sadness.

Thank you for the teaser in the email. It made me want to click thru to the blog. Loved the new side angle. Great shot!

  10. OMG. You are talking about my mother-in-law. That is exactly how she cooks and we talk about it at holidays. We are so blessed to still have her with us so we don’t do this in front of her. (even though she knows how she cooks.) Love the outfit. You wear it well.

  11. Happy Thanksgiving! Loved everything about your post today. I actually like sweater hoodies. I have 2…I may have 3 before the weekend is done, lol

50 isn’t old, but some things just don’t work after you are 35ish. Super short skirts and shorts…. And distressed jeans. They actually make people that are older look they are trying to look young. I’m in my 50’s. It’s just not a good look!

Diane, that necklace is really old, and it isn’t available any longer. 🙁

I would love to hear from YOU!
