How To Style White Linen Wide-Leg Pants For Summer

Linen is my fabric of choice in spring and summer. I love wearing it because it is cooling, and I even love the wrinkles. Maybe it is because I see a few more wrinkles when I look in the mirror, but I’m embracing linen with a newfound love. I have been looking for a new navy linen blazer to replace one that I’ve had for years since it is faded and shabby-looking. I found exactly what I was looking for at Talbots, along with a pair of white linen wide-leg pants. Here are two ways I’ll be wearing the pants for summer.

Style White Linen Wide-Leg Pants With A Blazer

Chic, crisp, and clean-looking—that perfectly describes these wide-leg white linen pants. They are a wonderful, classic piece of clothing that can be worn for years and can be dressed up or down. I love the flowy, effortless-looking style of these pants. They remind me of old-school movie stars, and I can see Maureen O’Hara walking the streets of Hollywood in pants like these. I’m wearing my usual size 8, and these fit me perfectly.

I added a striped Effortless Jersey Raglan Tee in navy and white. The square neckline adds a modern touch to the outfit. The top has elbow-length sleeves that are great for spring and summer and cover the upper arms, which can be a problem area for many women. The jersey material is perfect for on-the-go looks and is great for work or play. I’m wearing a medium, and the fit is perfect.

I was so happy when I found this Classic Linen Blazer! This blazer will become a staple in my closet that will be worn in multiple ways. One of my favorite things to do is wear a blazer with jeans. Blazers elevate everything you pair them with, and a casual/elevated look is my favorite way to dress. Although I rarely wear a blazer buttoned, I wanted to show you how it looks when worn that way. I’m wearing a size 10, and it fits me great.

The blazer is a classic style with a tailored fit. Although oversized clothing is trending, I prefer my blazers to fit closer to my body.

I added the Raffia Crossbody Bag which is the perfect size to hold all my essentials. I love large totes, but if I’m shopping, sightseeing, etc., I want a smaller bag that I can securely wear across my body. My phone, small wallet, lip gloss, sunglasses, and keys are usually all I need, and they fit in this easily.

The Nappa Slingback Flats in ivory and navy are perfect for the classic look I wanted. I love pointed-toe shoes since they elongate my legs, and the slingback design is one I wear all the time. These fit true to size, and the memory foam footbed makes them comfortable to walk in for extended periods of time.

Style White Linen Wide-Leg Pants With A Pop Of Color

The first way I wore the white linen wide-leg pants for spring and summer was a classic style. But I’m a color-loving girl, so I wanted to style them with a pop of color.

This Spring Floral V-neck Pullover in pink and orange grabbed my attention. I love the color combination, and the white in the print looks perfect styled with the white linen pants. This sweater is lightweight and so soft! I love everything about this sweater, and I’ll be wearing it on repeat this year. It will look great with jeans, shorts, or capris. I’m wearing a medium, and it fits me perfectly.

The sweater hits me on the hips, which is the length I prefer. I can tuck the sweater in if I want, and it is long enough that I won’t feel the need to tug or pull it down.

The Leather Trim Geo Straw Tote is a good medium-sized handbag. There are times when you need to carry more than just the essentials, and this size bag is perfect. I normally carry small pouches inside totes like this to keep my things separated. Yesterday, my granddaughter asked for chapstick and a ponytail holder, and her friend needed a pair of scissors. Yes, I had all that in my bag. Lol! I wasn’t even a Boy Scout, but I am always prepared.

  15. These outfits scream spring. I love them all, but I find Talbots pricey when not on sale. I bought pants that look the same at the GAP, along with a blazer. Just an idea for those who’d like it.

  21. I too love linen pants. Cute outfits. Thank you for the inspiration!!!🩷

  22. Love the navy blazer and white pants outfit with the accessories. Very sharp. I wish I could find a navy linen blazer that’s not lined for summer. I like linen pants too and have a few. I used to not like the wrinkles but it doesn’t bother me. I heard that’s the charm of linen. Sadly I am donating my white linen pants that I love. I tried them on and saw the back. The material is thin and there’s back pockets. The middle area looks like I have on a thong. I was appalled and I hope I wore them with a longer jacket in the past. I just now can’t deal with it.

    1. Lol! That made me laugh. I understand what you mean about the pockets. White pockets almost always show through in all white pants, even if they aren’t linen.

  23. Pam Bowling says:

I loved both ways you styled the white linen pants. I also love the raffia crossbody bag.
My favorite trip was taken last year in February. My brother and sister in law traveled to Israel for the first time. We spent 10 days there. We went with a church tour group. I really like the colorful top with the white linen pants. I have a few pair of linen pants in my closet, and two to try on from ON. One is white and the other is lavender. My fingers are crossed that both fit.

  40. Karen Robbins says:

White linen pants are a summer staple. I’m always sad to put them away after Labor Day. They are perfect to pack for vacation! My favorite vacation was a trip to Hawaii with my sweet late husband. We always said we would go there again, but it wasn’t in God’s plans. My memories are sweet.

      1. every trip is a new adventure. my advice is go to a different resort so you don’t compare.
I love our southern warm vacations that take us away from our Canadian winter but best trip is a tie between France, which we did 5 years ago and Germany that we did last summer. Europe is just so beautiful

        1. We keep talking about an overseas trip, but talking is all we ever do.

          1. do it….life is unpredictable. you won’t regret it. Germany specifically, we found easy. everyone speaks English and with Google translator, you can. always figure it out. a good way to dip your toes is a cruise…back to a familiar environment every night. personally I love the adventure of discovering a. new country…but a cruise is a good way to start.
