Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a soft rose/coral tunic top and a pair of chewed hem jeans with leopard flatsYou guys, I am so proud of myself! Most of you probably know that cleaning the house is not my thang! I hate cleaning because it will just get dirty again, so why bother? Lol! Joe has been trying to get me to clean out my laundry room for a couple of years, but I keep putting it off because it was overwhelming to me. But, since my daughter was here last month encouraging me to start purging my things, I have been doing better. So, today, I decided to tackle the beast.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a rose/coral tunic top and a pair of chewed hem jeans with leopard flatsThe first thing that I did was move all of the items that I wanted to keep (but don’t use often) up to the top shelves. That opened up a lot of space for items that I do use more often, but that I don’t want on my kitchen countertops. Then, I went through to gather up all of the items that I no longer need. I have a motorcycle trailer where I store those items until I can give them away or sell them in a yard sale. Finally, with all of the shelves empty, I took and wiped down all of the shelves to get rid of the dirt and dust.

The entire back wall of my room is floor to ceiling shelves, so I have converted it into a large pantry. I have a small pantry in my kitchen, but this will hold a lot more items, so I rearranged my kitchen pantry, and moved some of the items to the laundry room. Now, all I have to do is stock up on supplies so that I do not always have to run to the store. Does anyone else hate going to the store as much as I do?
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a super soft rose/coral tunic top The description on the website says it all about this top. It is called “Super Soft Tunic Top,” and I couldn’t have said it better. I called my daughter after I put this top on, and told her that it was incredibly soft. I haven’t washed the top yet, so I can’t tell you that it is going to stay that way, but I am betting that it will. In fact, I just went on and ordered the v-neck version in blue and aqua also because of the softness. I have lots of dressier clothes, but I don’t have a lot of items that I can wear for just sitting around the house and being cute and cozy. These tops will fix that problem, and at a great price. Here is the link to this top, and I am wearing the medium.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a soft rose/coral tunic top and a pair of gold earringsMy casual look calls for casual jewelry. I want to point out the unique bracelets that I am wearing. These were a gift when I went to New Orleans for the R+F Convention. They are made out of guitar strings and tiny beads, which would have been more appropriate for the Nashville Convention.

The Sophee earrings are a pair that you can wear casually or dressy. I love the design of the earrings and how they hug the side of your face. These come in several colors, including Rhodium, Rose Gold, and Gunmetal. Here is the link to the earrings. Here are a few more earrings from which you can choose.

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a pair of chewed hem jeans with leopard flatsThese leopard print flats are super cute. But, I will admit that they are not made to wear if you are going to be walking all day long. I can wear them for work if I do not have to walk the whole time. If you sit at a desk part of the day, then these would be fine. I am not used to wearing flats, so I might be more sensitive than many of you. I couldn’t resist these flats, since they are not expensive, and they will look great with crops, jeans, shorts, and dresses. Here is the link to the flats, and they do run true to size. I am wearing my usual size 9.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a rose/coral tunic top and a pair of chewed hem jeans and leopard flatsThe chewed hem of these skinny jeans makes them super cute. There is a tiny bit of distressing at the hem, so this might work for many of you how don’t like distressed jeans. This allows you to be trendy and modern looking without wearing jeans with large holes. These jeans are high-rise, so they hit right above the belly button. They do fit snugly, but they seem to hold you in for a flattering look. I am sure the rest of you like your tummy looking flat as I do. I am wearing my usual size 10, so if you don’t want the jeans to fit you tight, then you might want to size up. Here is the link to the jeans, which also comes in curvy, petite, and the color white.
Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a soft coral tunic top and a pair of chewed hem jeans with leopard flatsI hope you enjoyed this soft, casual outfit. The modern details keep the look fresh and young, but the comfort level keeps you happy. Be sure to join me tomorrow for a Thursday try-on session!

  1. You look great! What exact jeans are you wearing?

    1. Erika, they are from Loft. Just click on the highlighted words that says “here” to the jeans, and it will take you straight to them.

  2. I belong to flylady.org which is a site about getting rid of clutter. She has us run thru the house with a garbage bag once in a while and throw away 27 things. She calls it 27 fling boogie. It’s amazing how just doing that can free up space.
You are the epitome of casual chic in that outfit. I have shoes that are an 6 on comfort but a 10 on cute so I wear them. You have to sacrifice for beauty sometimes.

  3. I think that is a sure sign of spring. The other day we had sunshine (the first sunshine in DAYS) and everything in my house just looked dirty. I have been purging all of the paper documents I don’t think we need (fingers crossed) and it is like I go down a rabbit hole. I like the outfit you are wearing. It looks like a true running errands kind of outfit. So cute. Hey, be careful you are not buying duplicate items at the grocery store. I love your idea of having groceries delivered!

  4. Nikki McLeslie says:

You Crack me up!! YESSS!!! I absolutely hate to grocery shop!!! You and I are so very much alike! Another online place that I would recommend that you look into is called Boxed! I get so many things from them and they typically get to me within a few days! I love the looks of that sweater!

  5. Hi, Tania, I am also a new follower. Would you share your measurements and how tall you are? Are you short or long waisted? I think we may be similar in size but not sure about bust size. You may have shared on other posts or you may not care to do that. Anyway, you are such a cutie! Enjoying your post. ( I am in early 70s.) May be too old for your posts!!

  6. Hi Tania, I am a new follower ! I love your humor and style! I am so happy I found your blog! My husband and I just cleaned out our laundry room as well! I hate the job, but it went a lot quicker with help:). I wanted to know if you could do a make up and hair tutorial? I love your hair style and your make up always looks great!

  7. I’m not a fan of cleaning, but I love when I can tackle and area and get rid of clutter! Kudos on getting this done and I think Joe owes you a nice dinner out 🙂 I LOVE this outfit and those jeans! I want to order them but can’t figure out the Loft’s sizing on these (I’m seeing 24-34 as sizing????). Any suggestions.

    1. I’m sorry Joni, I forgot that was how they sized. A 30 is the same thing as a 10. There should be a size chart in the website that will help, or like I do all the time, Google it. ?

      1. Thanks Tania – I did look at the size chart on their website and it made no sense and didn’t match up with the sizing (they have numbers for various countries….) I’m going to hit up my local Loft store since I truly have no idea what size I am.

  8. I am SO with you on the cleaning up when it’s just going to get messy again! We are in update mode with our house & my husband has one or two projects going at any one time, fitting it in when he can. A little sawdust here, a little sheetrock dust there…. UGH!

    1. Just keep telling yourself how nice it is going to look once you are finished with the renovations.

  9. I did the same thing in my laundry room my husband made me floor to ceiling shelving, was intended at first to be for canned food until I seen potential as extra space for my shoe collection, over the years I seen that wasn’t so practical and changed it as intended for to canned food, since I do can my food from our garden made better sense lol.

    1. I have a floor to ceiling spot in that same room for my shoes. It is the back of our fireplace and there was a recess just the perfect size for shelving. It really needed to have been about 3″ wider, but I make it work.

  10. You need to show us before and after pictures when you clean up. I love seeing transformations! 🙂

    1. Haha! I don’t know if I have any before pictures. Just imagine that a tornado went through before hand. Lol!

  11. I am pretty tidy and I hate clotter! So I don t have to clean up a lot. Doesn t it veel good as all is ordered and cleaned up?

    1. I take cleaning in spells. I get to the point that I am tidy, and then old habits take back over.
