AFFORDABLE SPRING CLOTHING FROM OLD NAVY - 50 IS NOT OLD

Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a white v-neck t-shirt from Target and a pair of pink boyfriend jeans Gurl’s, I love these try-on sessions! They are a blast for me because I get to play dress-up. Lol! Today’s clothing is all from Old Navy, and I think that there are about 9 items for you to see. This entire post is all about affordable spring clothing, and I think that you will enjoy it. I remembered to take photos this time, and I also made videos for those of you who like to see the clothing in different ways and here more details. The videos are at the end of the post, and they each contain 3 or 4 items.

So, let’s get started because these posts take longer than my usual fashion posts. For sizing purposes, I am 5’6″ tall, and I weigh between 155-160 at any given time. I usually wear a size 10 in pants, a size 12 in dresses, and a medium in tops. Pink is going to be in all of the stores this spring, so I thought that I would order a few pink items. Up first is these mid-rise boyfriend jeans. They have a straight leg, which I like, and they can be worn long or cuffed as I have done here. Add a pair of sandals, and these will be perfect for spring and summer.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a white v-neck t-shirt and a pair of pink boyfriend jeans They are a button and zip closure, and they have pockets just like you normally see in jeans. They feel baggy to me, but that is how boyfriend jeans always fit me. I usually order one size down when I order boyfriend jeans, but I didn’t remember to do that this time. They are soft, and I love the color, but these will have to be returned because of the fit. I am wearing my usual size 10. Here is the link to the pretty pink pants.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a white v-neck t-shirt and a pair of bright pink skinny jeans This pair of jeans are NOT baggy. Lol! The Super Skinny Rockstar jeans are the most popular jeans that Old Navy sells. I usually buy the skinny version, but this is the first time trying the super skinny ones. I fell in love with this bright pink (rose) color, and I know that I will get a ton of wear from these this summer. These jeans hold you in, so that is a big plus! Just looking at this photo makes me want to add a denim jacket and a pair of leopard flats to the look and head out the door. You would get a ton of compliments!
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a white v-neck t-shirt and a pair of bright pink super skinny jeans Here is how the jeans look from the back, and you can see that they fit like a glove. I ordered these in my usual size 10, but had I been paying attention, I would have probably sized up to a 12. Usually, when I order a SUPER skinny pair of jeans, then I will size up. But, I think that I’ll keep this pair since they fit and they will serve as an incentive to keep trying to lose weight. Lol!  Here is the link to the jeans.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a white v-neck t-shirt and a pair of pale pink wide leg crop pants This pale pink color is called Apple Blossom. The color does look like the blossom on an apple tree, so whoever got paid big bucks to come up with the name did a great job. This is the only pair of dress pants that I have in the try on, and they aren’t THAT dressy. They are flowy and lightweight, and they look great with heels. This wide-leg crop style is big this year, and so is this pale pink color. So, these pants check all of the boxes for the upcoming spring.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a white v-neck t-shirt and a pair of pink dressy crop pants These pants are pull-on, but they have a faux fly, which makes them look like they zip. They are super comfortable to wear, and I like that they have diagonal pockets in the front. I like having a place to put my hands. If you are not a fan of the pale pink color, they also come in navy, gray, and black. Oooh, I bet black would look great with a lot of things. This is an exclusive online item, so don’t look for these at your local store.  Here is the link to the wide-leg crop pants.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a bold print boho top and a pair of wide leg crop jeans Do you like this big, bold print? I love large prints (do you see my bedspread in the background), and I love all of the different colors in this top. This top does come in a smaller print if you are not a fan of the bigger type. Prints like this make it so easy to pick out specific colors to add to the look. Obviously, this top would look good with white and jeans, but it would also look great with navy, light blue, yellow, certain shades of green, dark gray, and black. That is a whole lot of diversity.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a bold print boho top Look at the cute tassels that give the top a boho vibe, and a playful look. You can’t see in the photo, but at the top of the shoulders, the material is smocked. Those are both details that make this top unique. I am wearing a size medium in the top, which is plenty roomy. It is a lightweight and flowy material, so it doesn’t cling to you anywhere.  Here is the link to the top.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a leopard print flutter sleeve top and a pair of wide leg crop jeans How cute is this leopard print top? This is one of the first times that I have seen a leopard top, and it looks super feminine. I am sure that the sleeves are what give the top that effect, and I think that they are adorable.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a flutter sleeve top in a leopard print and a pair of wide leg crop jeans I love the movement of this top. It fits tighter than the other items that I have worn. I am wearing a medium, and it feels a little tight across the chest. I can’t decide if I need to size up, or if this size would work. The smaller print in this top, and also the length, are two things that I love about this top. It hits me right at the hips, and I think that is a flattering length for most people.  Here is the link to the leopard top.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a sky blue pointelle sweater and a pair of wide leg crop jeans I remember seeing this type of Pointelle sweaters on older women when I was young. I am not sure what that is saying about me. Lol! Back then, it seems like they were a short cardigan to be worn with a skirt, but my memory might be off. However, this sweater is cute and feminine and doesn’t look old and frumpy at all.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a Pointelle sweater in sky blue Look at the delicate knitwork on this sweater. The sweater is not thick or heavy, so you might want to wear a camisole underneath, especially since you can see a little through the holes. I think that the fit on this sweater is perfect. I am wearing a medium in the sweater, and it has plenty of room and isn’t tight at all.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a sky blue Pointelle sweater This color is a gorgeous sky blue, which will be great for spring and summer.  If blue is not your color, then the top also comes in black, a peach, and a chai latte color. Here is the link to the sweater.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a soft pink open front cardigan and a pair of wide leg crop jeans I couldn’t wait to wear this soft pink cardigan. As soon as I got finished with this session, I headed out the door, and this sweater went with me! I love the color of the cardigan, and I know that it will look great this spring. It makes me feel springy (is that a word) by just putting it on. I am wearing a size medium in the sweater, and it fits perfectly!
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a soft pink open front cardigan, a pair of wide leg crop jeans, and leopard flats The softness of the material, the softness of the color, and the length of the cardigan are all things that make me love this sweater.  The material is lightweight, but it is still substantial enough for chilly days, just not enough for COLD days. I think that this is a must for this spring, so Here is the link to the cardigan.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a soft pink open front cardigan, a white t-shirt, and a pair of wide leg crop jeans You’ve seen me wearing these jeans in all of the photos with the tops. These are slim wide-leg crop pants, and they are also high-waisted. I like the modern styling of the pants, and I like how the wide legs are not huge. I had ordered other pants before where the pant legs were just too big and unflattering. These hold you in around the hips, which is always a good thing for me. Plus, they weren’t too tight in the waist. I am wearing a size 10, so I would say that these run true to size. Here is the link to the crop jeans.
Old Navy try-on haul by Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old and she is wearing a soft pink open front cardigan and a pair of leopard print flats The last item in today’s try-on session is these leopard flats. I wore these flats in yesterday’s post (here), and they looked super cute with a pair of distressed skinny jeans and a soft tunic. As I mentioned yesterday, these are not walking shoes, but they are super cute. If you don’t have to do a lot of walking, then these would look fabulous. Here is the link to the flats.

Very cute outfits I do really like the bright pink skinny Jean’s and they are so affordable. I am so ready for spring.

I think those are so cute and I will wear them a lot this spring and summer.

I especially like the deep pink pants and the leopard print top. I would wear the bright patterned print top too. I love colour and print so I would really enjoy wearing it.

I am going to try and exchange the top for a large. The medium fits, but I think that I would be more comfortable in the large.

I loved everything! I have an Old Navy 5 minutes from my house, I need to get there soon!😉

Gracious, I would go broke if there was one that close to me. Lol!

  4. Nice variety. I love the light blue pointelle. I had to laugh at your comment about seeing older women wearing that type of knit when you were younger. I’ve had the same thought. In fall I picked up a similar sweater at Target in off white. Always the memory of older ladies danced in my mind but I loved the sweater. One day I was poking around Nordstrom and saw a similar sweater – in their teen Dept. LOL. So, it is YOUNG and TRENDY. Go us! I like the long blush cardigan. Soooooo flattering. I enjoyed both your pics/descriptions and the videos provide an opportunity to see movement and whether the fabrics have any give. More work for you but really great at this end, so thanks!
BTW, hope your Target delivery went well the other day. My grocery delivery via Insta-cart was a “hot mess”. So many errors, I lost count. Just crazy. On to another vendor who does not use Insta-Cart. My daughter aptly described it as Uber for groceries. So right. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Kathy, I am glad that others also had the memory of older women wearing that style sweater. Lol! My Target delivery didn’t go the best. There were two large packages delivered and each package had something busted inside the box. The box itself was banged up pretty badly, so I am not sure if it was a Target issue, or if it was a UPS issue with the handling of the packages.

    • Love it all!! Not that I’d wear it all! I actually was at old navy yesterday and came home with 3 T-shirt’s for me and 2 blouses for my daughter.. I picked up the rose colored boyfriend jeans and loved them.. I’ll go back and try them on! Love the color.. I have reg boyfriend jeans and I love the leg fit but they seem to make my behiney look flat … not a fan of that… prob too much fabric ! Anyway, thanks for all the try ons!! Love the pics and videos!!

  5. This post was perfectly timed for me because I have Old Navy cash I can spend. I have the pink cardigan and love it. Now the slash/diagonal pockets on pants are something I do not like. I feel they gap and add bulk to my hips. I am not one to put my hands in pockets or need a place for my phone, so I am always on the lookout for pants that have a better pocket design….just my personal opinion.

Great!!! I love it when I can spend my Old Navy cash!!!

  6. You made my morning!! I just ordered five pieces from your blog. THANK YOU 💖

I love your Old Navy sessions. Can you do them more often? The clothes look fantastic on you. I’m placing an order now. Great choices!!

Loved all these try-ons! Especially the multi color top with red tassels and the pink cardigan! I haven’t been in an Old Navy in years! When my daughter was in middle & high school, I’d go there with her, but didn’t find the quality or fit for me. She’s 31 now, so since it’s been a while, I’ll have to re-visit the Old Navy outlet near my home.

    • I loved all your outfits. I love the pink cardigan and could you please share where you got the white t-shirt? Thank you for all your great fashion ideas.

I love these posts and your detail of how things fit. I’m about your size & it really helps me to order the correct size. I hate “physically “ going clothes shopping. Thanks so much! Keep it up!!!

  10. I loved everything, very pretty colors! I need to check out old navy!

  11. Thanks for the post. Very timely as I have some supercash to use and wasn’t sure what to buy. The pull on apple blossom pants are available in my store.

  12. Enjoyed all the outfits today from Old Navy. What’s so neat is I am the same size as you even down to the shoe size so when you’re doing the try ones I can see how they’d look on me! Lol

  13. All of the outfits look great on you. I especially like the pale pink cardigan. Are you a warm or cool?

I would love to hear from YOU!
