Maybe it’s just me, but the holiday season always seems to make me feel a little extra stressed and exhausted. There’s nothing like a good bath or shower at the end of the day to wash away all that tension and help you relax. But why settle for a basic, uninspiring experience when you can create a truly luxurious and relaxing one? Today, I’m sharing some easy tips and tricks to help you transform your bath or shower routine into a rejuvenating spa-like experience from the comfort of your own home. A lot of these would also make great gifts, so add them to your own wishlist or grab them for a loved one!

For the Shower:

You might want to consider upgrading your shower head for a more spa-like experience. I’ve been hearing a lot about this Jolie Filtered showerhead that is a bit of a splurge but could be worth it. It’s supposed to remove chlorine, heavy metals & other contaminant. This one is another easy-to-install option.

These little wonders are packed with a mix of essential oils that basically turn your shower into your own little paradise (minus the plane ticket). Pop one in, let it do its fizzy, fragrant dance, and voila – you’re in your own at-home spa.

This shower body brush takes your daily scrub to a whole new level, giving you spa vibes without leaving your bathroom. With its gentle yet invigorating bristles, it exfoliates like a pro, leaving your skin feeling smooth and soft. The long handle makes it a breeze to reach all those tricky spots, turning your shower routine into a self-care ritual. It’s pretty affordable at under $7, so go ahead and grab one for your hubby so he doesn’t try to steal yours!

This nifty gadget turns a basic shampoo into a blissful scalp massage. Its silicone bristles are like a mini spa treatment for your noggin, promoting relaxation while getting rid of any lurking shampoo residue. Easy to use and oh-so-gentle, the HEETA Hair Scalp Massager is not just a tool; it’s a daily dose of self-care for your scalp. I’ve heard they can also stimulate hair growth, which is always a great thing in my book!

Whether you choose to listen to your favorite music, catch up on the latest podcasts, or engage in hands-free calls, this bluetooth speaker ensures a premium audio experience in the wettest of environments. It’s totally waterproof, so it would also be a great tool for kayaking, a pool or beach day, or for the hot tub!

Products For Bath:

Baths are a great go-to remedy for unwinding and hitting the reset button for both your body and soul. While there’s nothing wrong with a plain old bubble bath, there are definitely a lot of really affordable products on the market that can transform your soak from average into your own personal escape and retreat that you look forward to all day long!

Immerse yourself in a deeper, better bath thanks to this Overflow Drain Cover! The secure suction cup creates a seal over your overflow drain, giving you the freedom to indulge in a more satisfying soak. A few extra inches of water makes all the difference! Just don’t forget to turn the water off and walk away. 😳

This drink holder is a game-changer for those who like to relax with a beverage. This clever contraption adheres effortlessly with a suction cup to your shower or bath surface, providing a secure spot for your favorite beverage. Whether you’re sipping on a bubbly water, a cold brew, a diet coke, or a glass of wine, this holder will be the cherry on top of your bathing ritual.

Crafted with plush materials, this bath pillow transforms your tub into a comfy haven. Designed for optimal support, it cradles your head and neck, and the waterproof and easy-to-clean features make it a practical yet indulgent addition to your bathing routine. I hate climbing into a hot bath just to have to lay my head on a hard, cold tub, so this is a must-have for me.

This bathtub tray and organizer not only brings sophistication to your bathroom decor but also offers a practical space for your essentials. With dedicated slots for your tablet, a holder for your wine glass, and ample room for candles or a book, it effortlessly takes your bath experience to the next level. It comes in all sorts of colors, as well as a natural wood look. Plus, it’s expandable, so it fits most tubs, but be sure to measure before ordering!

Bath Salts:

These bath crystals dissolve seamlessly in warm water, infusing your bath with magnesium – a vital mineral known for its calming and muscle-soothing properties. Immerse yourself in this therapeutic soak to replenish magnesium levels, promote a sense of tranquility, and leave your skin and body feeling refreshed.

Pouring this Epsom salt soaking solution into the water is like a spa day in your tub! I’ve loved Dr. Teal’s products for years and years. This one is great because the Epsom salt works its magic while the eucalyptus and spearmint scents turn your bathroom into a zen zone that smells amazing!

Infused with mustard seed powder and essential oils, this concoction helps to combat muscle pain, soreness, congestion, stress, and more in the comfort of your own tub. As you soak, the salts work their magic, promoting relaxation and helping you to feel your best!

After Shower/Bath:

It may sound silly, but your after-shower/bath experience and routine are just as important as being in it!

Invest in bath sheets. they are much larger than a towel and can make getting out less dreadful, especially if you keep them in a towel warmer…nothing better than getting a nice warm towel after getting out!

A comfy robe to put on…my favorite is this Fuchsia Plush Sleep Robe. But I have my eye on this short terry robe that can be monogrammed to wear when I’m blow-drying my hair. I also love my UGG and Barefoot Dreams robes, but the fuchsia one matches my PJs. Lol!

I didn’t make a section for how to prep for your shower or bath, but right before you hop in the hot water is actually the perfect time to bust out the Dry Brush magic! Your skin’s all soft and ready, making it prime time for a little exfoliation! It buffs away the dull stuff and gets your blood flowing for that healthy glow we all love. It also aids with circulation and lymphatic drainage!

Right after I get out of the bath or shower, I like to apply my skincare products to my body since wet skin is better at absorbing products. I kept seeing people raving about the OSEA products, so I ordered this kit of their best sellers. It includes body butter, body oil, and anti-aging body balm, which are all perfect for applying to clean, damp skin. I like that this one also includes an exfoliating body scrub that you can use in the bath or shower to help you get the smoothest skin possible! I’ve only started using this, but I love the body oil and body butter.
