HOW TO FASHIONABLY WEAR A HEART
Today, I am wearing my heart on my chest for all of you to see. When I woke up yesterday morning and saw all of the comments that you had “voted” for the house that my dad and brother built, big tears started streaming down my face. People act like the connections that you make on social media aren’t real, but I am here to proclaim otherwise. I do feel like we are friends, and some of you, I would recognize if I met you walking down the street because of FaceBook. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to make my day!
Also, instead of waiting to the very end to announce the winner of the Pave Drop earrings, I wanted to tell you the winner now. It is Sue Epling, so be sure to watch for the email and reply to me with your address. I love having giveaways and rewarding those of you who take time out of your busy day to leave a comment. All of us are busy and are pulled in lots of different directions. So, the fact that you take the time to read my blog, much less leave a comment is not something that I take for granted. I want to say how much I appreciate all of you, and I hope that you get something from my blog. ?
The gray sweater with the red sequinned heart that I am wearing today is one that I bought back in the fall. I loved the single heart design, and I knew that it would be perfect for Valentine’s Day as well as Heart Month, which is February. According to healthfinder.gov, “heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. Every year, 1 in 4 deaths are caused by heart disease.” The great news is that it can be prevented. So, join me and let’ all choose to do something every day for exercise and make good food choices. I love all of you too much to see you be a statistic.
Here are the warning signs for heart attack and stroke that I got off of Go Red for Women!
I am wearing my Diana Kut From The Kloth jeans. These were my first jeans from this brand, and I loved them so much that I bought several more. The website says that these jeans run large, and they suggest sizing down. However, I am wearing my usual size 10, and they fit me perfectly. If you have any experience with this brand, be sure to let me know your thoughts on the sizing. Also, these are on sale for 40% off, so this is the perfect time to grab a pair. Here is the link to the jeans.
I added a red layering tank under the gray sweater. Everyone needs basic essential items, and I took the time last year to order several of these tanks in several different colors. They are simple, sleeveless tanks that are great for wearing under cardigans and jackets. These tanks are microfiber, and they have a slim fit. I have some in a 1.5, and then I have a few in a 2 so that they fit looser. The one that I am wearing today is a 1.5, so it is not one that I would probably wear without a top layer. You don’t need to see any of my bulges. Lol! Here is the link to the tank, and around 30 different colors.
As I said earlier, the gray sweater is an old one from Loft. I like wearing items with a heart on it throughout the year, not just on Valentine’s Day. I wore a heart sweater that I had worn on the blog before (here)Â to Bristol the other day, and it got me several compliments. You can add hearts to your wardrobe as jewelry also. That is an easy way to look festive without spending a ton of money. Here are a few suggestions that I found today.
How is your memory???
Have you done any of the following? Walked into a room and forgot why you went into the room? Drove by the place that you were supposed to turn off? Or, maybe you have been telling a story and forgot what you were saying???

Oh My Goodness!!! I just found your blog, through Pinterest, and I LOVE IT!!! Loved your eye brow tutorial. Love your sense of style and love that you are in your mid 50’s and love fashion. Am now binge reading your blog 🙂
Welcome, Kay!!! I love your enthusiasm, it shows in your comment.
Tania how did you lose your weight?
Tara, I’ve been doing a lot of things to keep my weight under control. I’ve started exercising, cutting down my portion sizes, and I did a no-sweets January. No cookies, candy, ice-cream, etc. No fun either.
I love this outfit today! Red is definitely a good color for you.
I agree, you look cute and slimming in this!
Love this outfit! You look super!!
Such a slimming outfit. Looks great on you.
Love your outfit and the precipes photobomb puppy. So cute!
DOES ANYONE EVER MAKE REQUESTS? I’D LIKE TO SEE AN OUT FIT WITH KELLY GREEN OR EMERALD COLORED JEANS- FOR SPRING! THANKS
Once again, red is definitely your color!
Love love your outfit today and thank you for heart health info.
I enjoy your blog every day. Loved the sweater today with the red tank underneath. The eyebrow tutorial was helpful to see what I need to do for improvement. Thank you.
And, I voted for the log house built by your brother and your dad. It is beautiful.
Darling sweater. I wish I could do my hair like yours. I love you Sunday posts. BTW I also voted for your brother and dads log house.
That is such a cute outfit and it makes you look super slim!! Too bad the sweater is unavailable now.
I love yr outfit…. 🙂
Cute cardigan and you look great in red. I hope your Dad wins!
Love the post and your positive, grateful nature. I ordered the red heart hearings for ME!
Thanks a lot for your eyebrow tutorial.Very helpful indeed.Looking forward to more tutorials.Love from Athens, Greece
Such a cute outfit! It’s perfect for this month, but not too in-your-face. Years ago, my mom had heart surgery, and afterwards my dad gifted her some beautiful James Avery heart earrings. My mom passed 7 years ago this week (pancreatic cancer), and I inherited those special earrings. Thanks for the reminder of adding heart jewelry to our outfits this month. I’ll have to wear those earrings in her memory.
Love your outfit today!! It looks amazing on you and is fun as well as classy. As always, you’ve got it together 🙂
Have a great day and keep being you.
Tania,
I didn’t see the post about voting for that gorgeous log home until this morning. I voted, of course! Just to let others know, the voting is open until next week.
Love the red! It is your color!
Very slimming, cute outfit! Loved the eyebrow tutorial!
I love your outfit. It looks like something I’d love to wear. You can pull off those red earrings, but I think I’d need just some plain silver hoops.
Pretty, pretty!!
What a cute outfit Tania! A nod to Valentine’s Day and heart month but not overpowering. Also, I appreciate the brow tutorial. I use the Anastasia Brow Wiz and this definitely will help me to do my brows better.
I’m thrilled to be the winner of the beautiful earrings, what a nice surprise!! Thank you♡ Your outfit is adorable today and perfect for Valentine Day AND heart month. Thank you for using your platform and providing very important information on heart disease. It can change your life in an instant…
Love your outfit. I’ve ordered the Natalie Kut jeans. Loved them but way too long. Do they always come like this? Since I don’t know anyone that could hem them I had to return them.
Such a cute outfit…again. I purchased my first Kut jeans last summer, Lauren crop jeans. They ran large so I ended up going down a size. I have a pair of Donna distressed jeans and I also went down one size. Then, much to my surprise I ordered a pair of white frayed hem jeans, ordering down again. Oops! They were so tight I could barely zip them. Nothing worse than tight white jeans. I exchanged for a size up. Much better. The quality vs price is excellent.
You are killing these looks lady!! Sweater is the perfect mix of cute and classy.
Loved your eyebrow tutorial. How about a tutorial on removing makeup, especially eye makeup. And, something about you in denim…really looks great.
I am soooooooo jealous of that sweater! I’ll be scouring eBay and Poshmark for one. You were smart to snag that back in the fall. Your outfit looks fabulous.
Oh so cute sweater and outfit. Red is just one of your best colors!
I just loved your outfit today. It was very slimming and looked great on you. I don’t comment often but read your blog every day. Thanks for my daily dose of fashion and funny. I really do get a kick out of your stories.
