HOW TO DRESS TO BRIGHTEN YOUR DAY

Y’all, I had the best birthday yesterday! I took the day off…so that means that today’s blog is not going to be the normal blog. It is instead going to be briefer, but don’t worry, I’ll tell you all about my birthday in tomorrow’s post. BUT, for today, I have a task for you to do after you finish reading today’s post. This outfit ought to brighten your day! I am wearing an Old Navy pink sweater that I’ve had for a while. It is a size large, and I love wearing it during the summer. I push up the long sleeves, and that keeps me cool. All the sweaters below are on sale TODAY for $30.00, but hurry before your size runs out!!!

My silver hoop earrings are Kendra Scott, but I bet you already knew that. Yes, I’ve become really addicted to her jewelry lately, and once you try something for yourself, you’ll understand why. I am thinking about branching out and trying a colored piece, but I am not sure if I want to do that yet. What do you think? Do you like color, or do you like how simple it is to wear silver or gold?
The wedge espadrilles (HERE) are from Target, and I love the two-toned color scheme. I wore these the other day (HERE) with another Lilly top, and boot cut jeans, and I thought they looked great. I like how they are a neutral pair, so I can wear them with lots of different colors. I am wearing my usual 9 and they fit me perfectly.
I almost didn’t show you this reversible tank top from Lilly Pulitzer. I ordered from the Lilly website, but when I tried to link to it, it was sold out. I was so bummed out until I found it on Zappos!!! Happy Dance here at the Stephens’ household. This gorgeous Lilly tanktop is gorgeous for spring and summer, but since it is reversible to a solid green, it is also very versatile. I am wearing a size medium, and it fits me perfectly! Okay, I think that I have found my new favorite pair of white jeans! White jeans should be in everyone’s closet. In fact, you need to have more than one pair! These slim high-rise jeans were sent to me by Soft Surroundings, and this is the first pair of jeans that I have tried from them. I have to say that I am impressed! I love the high waist, deep pockets, comfortable stretch, and the fit is perfect. Plus, the thing that most of us care about when buying white jeans…you can’t see through them! These are soft and comfortable, and they don’t appear that they will “bag” as you wear them. I’ve worn them all day, and they are holding up nicely. I am wearing my usual size 10 that fits like a dream. BTW, these also come in petite, tall, and plus sizes so that everyone can enjoy these jeans. Here is the link.
