GAP New Arrivals For Fall Try On Haul
Most of you tell me you love it when I do try-on hauls since you get to see a lot of different items in one post. Today’s post is on the GAP New Arrivals for Fall, and it is part two since I recently did a mini-try on haul. (I’ll link to it below)
GAP New Arrivals For Fall
I’ve been in a neutral state of mind lately, so almost all of today’s items are beige, tan, khaki, etc. The great thing about them is they will mix and match with anything, so they should fit right in with your existing wardrobe.
I starting my GAP New Arrivals for Fall post with the Dolman Rib Sweater Vest. In case you haven’t heard, vests are going to be everywhere this fall. I have a love/hate relationship with sweater vests, so I’m still on the fence about this trend. What are your thoughts?
I styled this vest with a black bodysuit that was part of a 3 pack from Amazon. Bodysuits aren’t my favorite thing to wear either, but I saw where “this” bodysuit was different. The perfectly placed ribbing on this suit holds you in, and I swear, it makes you look so much thinner. It fits like compression shapewear but can be worn by itself. I purchased a large based on recommendations, and they fit snugly, but they are supposed to.
I only switched out the sweater vest and replaced it with the Mixed Stitch Cardigan. An open-front cardigan helps to hide part of your waist, so that’s what I prefer wearing. I rarely button a cardigan or jacket and prefer to let them hang loose and open instead.
I love this Mixed Stitch Cardigan, but I noticed that it is only available in XL and XXL. The sweater is also available in rust and brown, but some sizes aren’t available. I found a couple of similar ones, so I’ll link those below.
I wore these same Loose Khakis in my mini try-on haul a couple of weeks ago. Those were too big for me, but I loved the color, so I ordered them again in a size 8. The 8s fit much better and don’t look as baggy. The relaxed fit through the legs is a look I like, but I don’t like pants that are too big through the hips.
I’ve had this Pearl Crossbody Bag for about a month, and I LOVE it! It is the perfect crossbody!
Because I love compartments, the three compartments are perfect for me. There are two zipper side openings, and then the middle is a three-snap opening. I have the Nappa Leather version, and although my initials aren’t LS, I think the gold lettering looks really luxurious.
Jeans are what I wear most in the fall and winter, along with leggings. Lol! Since I don’t leave home for work anymore, I find myself dressing more casually than I used to. This casual outfit is perfect for running errands, but isn’t too dressy for staying around the house.
I told you I was in a neutral state of mind. The Shaker Stitch Cardigan is a little heavier and thicker than the mixed-media cardigan I styled above. This cardigan is relaxed and casual, and I’ll be able to wear it with anything because of the beige color. The cardigan also comes in a beautiful grey, which would also work great for fall.
I like the Low Rise Baby Boot Jeans for fall. When I read the description, I almost didn’t order them since they said they were Low Rise. However, if you look at the jeans, you can see that they aren’t exactly low-rise. I would call them mid-rise since they hit me right at my belly button.
I love the black Pearl Crossbody so much that when I found the same style in a tan color, I immediately ordered it. Tan/caramel is my go-to color for handbags, but I do carry black more in the fall and winter.
This tan crossbody is made from Italian leather and features the exact same triple compartments. They both look and feel luxurious; they both have side zipper compartments with a middle snap compartment. The difference between them is that the tan one’s middle compartment closes with magnetic snaps, which is easier to open and close, and the black one has pretty gold initials. I LOVE them both!!!
Here is the last look, and it might be my favorite. I’ve noticed that I either start out my posts with my favorite look or I’ll save it to the end. That way, you need to read all the way to the bottom of my posts since you never know what you might be missing. Lol!
The lightweight Pointelle Mockneck Sweater Tank is fabulous and looks chic when paired with the Pointelle Cardigan. I’ve only had this set for a couple of weeks, and I’ve already worn it twice.
This tank and cardigan can be worn casually or dressed up for a date night look. I wore the set when Joe and I went out to eat the other night, but since we were going to a casual sports bar, I wore it with a pair of black Mother jeans, and it looked perfect.
The Bucket Bag Faux Leather Tote is another trending handbag for fall. I’ve been seeing lots of bucket bags in the stores. I have a couple of bucket bags that are several years old, but I hardly ever carry them because I like compartments.

I mentioned the other day I love a good cardigan- you don’t disappoint! Today’s GAP Shaker Stitch cardigan is definitely on my list for fall! I also spied the Zoe D’Orsay flats <3,<3!!
I love those flats and the cardigans. They are great neutrals.
I am not excited about the vest thing, Tania-if it’s cold enough for a sweater, I need to cover my arms too LOL! Love the mockneck!
I love all of those looks! They look great! Thank you for the try on !
I really do love all these outfits! Thank you!
So, about the vest..I bought one at Talbots last year after hearing they were in style, and I never saw anyone else wearing them! LOL The one I bought was a cream in a cotton and it just felt too bulky every time I wore it. The other thing I really didn’t like was it also had a slight dolman sleeve at the shoulder. It would have been much more flattering on my broader shoulders if it would have ended right at the top of my arm instead of drooping down. Does that make sense??
Also, a lightweight fabric may have been better. I’m larger busted and don’t need all the bulk up top. I’m in search of a bucket bag that is just a shoulder strap and no crossbody. Had a really nice one years ago and finally donated it a couple years ago. I figured they’ll never come back in style. WRONG! Thanks for all you do Tania!
Cindy, I’ve had bucket bags for years that I’ve not carried, and now they are finally coming back in style.
Love the purses, especially the tan Pearl crossbody! I’m not crazy about vests- would rather put a sweater on if I’m cold!
I love the cardigan set! I’m going to order that for sure! I’m so ready for fall, it’s been a warm summer in Ohio!
I don’t tend to think about the GAP as a clothing store option. Thanks for the reminder that they have cute items – regardless of our age!
Super cute stuff! Gap never goes out of style! Happy Wednesday ❤️
I love the leather triple compartment purse! You look very cute in the mock neck sleeveless tank.
