FEBRUARY IS THE MONTH OF LOVE
Woohoo! Tomorrow is Superbowl Sunday, and I can’t wait to build a big fire and watch the game. I love watching the Superbowl, and I especially love watching the commercials. A few of the upcoming commercials must have already leaked because Joe was showing me one yesterday. I must admit that I laughed and laughed at the ad, and it made my afternoon more enjoyable. Now, I hope that the game is equally as much fun.
If you are wondering who I am rooting for, here is a clue: I am wearing the color of the team that I am hoping wins. Lol! Since both teams have red in their uniforms, I figure that I am bound to have picked the winner. Haha! I don’t care who wins as long as it is a good game. But, because a friend of mine is a HUGE Kansas City Chiefs fan, I am pulling for the Chiefs. Angie, if the Chiefs win, it is because I am their lucky charm. Lol! Now it is time to start thinking about what to eat for the game. The food is almost as important as the game.
I don’t know what happened to all of you yesterday, but I have never seen fewer comments since I started blogging. Either you hated my outfit and hated to say anything, or all of your fingers were broken at the same time. Today, the cat doesn’t have your tongue, so tell me who you are rooting for, or what you plan on eating.
I wanted to add a pattern to my look today, so I picked this satin leopard print camisole with the black eyelash trim. I have owned this camisole for over a year, but I never end up wearing it. There is something about it that makes me take it off every time. So, today, I decided that I was going to wear the cami, no matter what. I am still not happy with the look, but I am happy that I followed through with my goal of wearing it. I think that the cami would look fantastic with a black slip skirt or maybe those black-coated pants that I bought the other day and have since misplaced. For another look, here is a muted camisole that I bought at Target
My light peach stud earrings were a present from my Energizer Bunny Friend. These are by Kate Spade, and I love the size of these studs. They are perfect for people who don’t like larger earrings. I like all size earrings, and I love mixing it up occasionally to keep everyone on their toes. How many of you wear a watch anymore? I had gotten to where I used my cellphone as a watch, so I quit wearing one. But, I am back in the mood to wear a watch because I missed having one on my arm. So, I drug my Michael Kors watch out of my jewelry box, but the battery had died. Joe ordered a tool to take the back off and a new battery for me. He is pretty handy to have around, but don’t tell him that I was bragging on him. lol!
I don’t wear a lot of flats, but like my earrings, I like to mix it up occasionally. Also, when I know that I am going to be walking a lot, I will choose a pair of comfortable shoes. These Vaneli espadrilles were a pair that I bought when I was in Nashville at a convention. I walked a ton in these, and I never had any problems at all. I am wearing my usual size 9, and they fit perfectly. Here is a link to the shoes.
February is the month of love! So, I decided to start the month off by wearing the color red. Red is the color of love, power, and life. It is a color that gets you noticed, and one that puts you in charge. You will see political candidates wear red to show that they are powerful and capable of being in charge. It is funny how much a color can dictate how we view someone. I am wearing an old pair of red jeans from NYDJ. I like that brand for jeans, and I own several pairs from them. They do run true to size, and I am wearing my usual size 10.https://rstyle.me/+rFpmNaCd_XACOrf5S5M6gA
My denim jacket is old as the hills. It is one that I bought from Old Navy years ago. A denim jacket is a classic wardrobe statement, and it can be worn with almost anything, including dresses. If you do not already own a denim jacket, then today is your lucky day. I found a great denim jacket from Talbots on sale for under 32.00, and it usually sells for 89.50. Here is the link to that jacket.
Be sure to leave me a comment today and tell me who you are rooting for, and what you are planning on eating for the Superbowl.
How is your memory???
Have you done any of the following? Walked into a room and forgot why you went into the room? Drove by the place that you were supposed to turn off? Or, maybe you have been telling a story and forgot what you were saying???

Well, I’m a SanFransisco fan, so a little sad today. 🙁 I did have all the major food groups at our house: Chicken Wings, Pizza and Nachos! Followed by a Gaviscon before bed. LOL!
Didn’t watch the game but saw the halftime show, which I primarily watched because of Jennifer Lopez, but I have to say, I thought Shakira knocked it out of the park! I just wanted to mention, though, that Costco just started selling ladies’ denim jackets in black (no stretch), blue (stretch) and sort of a pale pink (stretch) for $19.99 each. I bought the pink in a medium, which fits beautifully and is super soft and comfy.
I don’t usually watch football, so I’m not really rooting for any team. Tonight I AM watching it with my hubby, though! i”m going to make some barbeque’d chicken thighs in the air fryer! And I’ll probably mix up some coleslaw. I love checking in on you daily, I get a lot of inspiration on how to style an outfit. Have a great night!!
I live about an hour south of Kansas City and am a big Chiefs fan. Although I have only attended a few games the atmosphere at Arrowhead stadium is incredible. Interstate highway #70 goes right by the stadium complex and on Sunday home games you can smell the BBQ smoke from tailgaters when you on driving on the highway. I will be watching alone, probably doing a lot of yelling in front of the tv. Today at the grocery store it seemed appropriate that I buy a KC Strip steak to fix for the game. So steak and all the fixins’! A KC radio sports announcer is famous for his TOUCHDOWN!… KAN!… ZA!… CITY!!!! saying so I hope I get to hear that A LOT!
Loved the outfit from the 31st..Really liked the color of the sweater! Don’t really love today’s camisole top, but love the red pants…Go Chiefs!
Hey Tania ~
Just started ‘following’ the blog 5 minutes ago!
Yes, I do forget ~ all too often. So frequently that I’ve purchased 2 post-it note cubes (1 for the dining room table where I work on my hobby/biz, and 1 for my office desk) so I can jot down a single word when I think of something I need to do!
Won’t be watching the game tomorrow. But will be cooking linguine with roasted red pepper cream sauce for lunch and avocado toast with sliced tomatoes and a balsamic reduction drizzle for dinner! Maybe I’ll wear red for the winning team too! ?
Love the outfit. I like wearing my leopard print scarf with a little black dress and jean jacket.
I suspect you always end up taking the cami off because you have more flattering options. Why force yourself to wear something you are uncomfortable in? To me, it looks more like lingerie than daytime casual wear.
I received same Non-secure messsge this morning. I wrote a comment and it is not here.
Hopefully, the issue is fixed. GoDaddy forgot to clear the cache after they were finished working on the blog updates, and that caused the error code. Or, at least that is what they are telling me.
Love Christies take on your post. Would love to see her take again in the future. I like the cami with the jacket but I’m not brave enuff to wear red pants and a leopard cami. I’d have to choose just one. We get more timid as we get older and at 77, I pick just one thing to grab interest and keep the rest neutral. But there was a time……. ; )
