FEBRUARY IS THE MONTH OF LOVE
Woohoo! Tomorrow is Superbowl Sunday, and I can’t wait to build a big fire and watch the game. I love watching the Superbowl, and I especially love watching the commercials. A few of the upcoming commercials must have already leaked because Joe was showing me one yesterday. I must admit that I laughed and laughed at the ad, and it made my afternoon more enjoyable. Now, I hope that the game is equally as much fun.
If you are wondering who I am rooting for, here is a clue: I am wearing the color of the team that I am hoping wins. Lol! Since both teams have red in their uniforms, I figure that I am bound to have picked the winner. Haha! I don’t care who wins as long as it is a good game. But, because a friend of mine is a HUGE Kansas City Chiefs fan, I am pulling for the Chiefs. Angie, if the Chiefs win, it is because I am their lucky charm. Lol! Now it is time to start thinking about what to eat for the game. The food is almost as important as the game.
I don’t know what happened to all of you yesterday, but I have never seen fewer comments since I started blogging. Either you hated my outfit and hated to say anything, or all of your fingers were broken at the same time. Today, the cat doesn’t have your tongue, so tell me who you are rooting for, or what you plan on eating.
I wanted to add a pattern to my look today, so I picked this satin leopard print camisole with the black eyelash trim. I have owned this camisole for over a year, but I never end up wearing it. There is something about it that makes me take it off every time. So, today, I decided that I was going to wear the cami, no matter what. I am still not happy with the look, but I am happy that I followed through with my goal of wearing it. I think that the cami would look fantastic with a black slip skirt or maybe those black-coated pants that I bought the other day and have since misplaced. For another look, here is a muted camisole that I bought at Target
How many of you wear a watch anymore? I had gotten to where I used my cellphone as a watch, so I quit wearing one. But, I am back in the mood to wear a watch because I missed having one on my arm. So, I drug my Michael Kors watch out of my jewelry box, but the battery had died. Joe ordered a tool to take the back off and a new battery for me. He is pretty handy to have around, but don’t tell him that I was bragging on him. lol!

My denim jacket is old as the hills. It is one that I bought from Old Navy years ago. A denim jacket is a classic wardrobe statement, and it can be worn with almost anything, including dresses. If you do not already own a denim jacket, then today is your lucky day. I found a great denim jacket from Talbots on sale for under 32.00, and it usually sells for 89.50. Here is the link to that jacket.
Be sure to leave me a comment today and tell me who you are rooting for, and what you are planning on eating for the Superbowl.
How is your memory???
Have you done any of the following? Walked into a room and forgot why you went into the room? Drove by the place that you were supposed to turn off? Or, maybe you have been telling a story and forgot what you were saying???

I couldn’t read all the comments so hope I don’t repeat things.,,don’t like this outfit at all?…too much leopard, color. But love you and your spirit and adventuresome spirit! Went to a great party wearing linen, silver, gray and black. I am in Miami so have to be cool❤️
Well, I’m a SanFransisco fan, so a little sad today. 🙁 I did have all the major food groups at our house: Chicken Wings, Pizza and Nachos! Followed by a Gaviscon before bed. LOL!
Didn’t watch the game but saw the halftime show, which I primarily watched because of Jennifer Lopez, but I have to say, I thought Shakira knocked it out of the park! I just wanted to mention, though, that Costco just started selling ladies’ denim jackets in black (no stretch), blue (stretch) and sort of a pale pink (stretch) for $19.99 each. I bought the pink in a medium, which fits beautifully and is super soft and comfy.
I don’t usually watch football, so I’m not really rooting for any team. Tonight I AM watching it with my hubby, though! i”m going to make some barbeque’d chicken thighs in the air fryer! And I’ll probably mix up some coleslaw. I love checking in on you daily, I get a lot of inspiration on how to style an outfit. Have a great night!!
I live about an hour south of Kansas City and am a big Chiefs fan. Although I have only attended a few games the atmosphere at Arrowhead stadium is incredible. Interstate highway #70 goes right by the stadium complex and on Sunday home games you can smell the BBQ smoke from tailgaters when you on driving on the highway. I will be watching alone, probably doing a lot of yelling in front of the tv. Today at the grocery store it seemed appropriate that I buy a KC Strip steak to fix for the game. So steak and all the fixins’! A KC radio sports announcer is famous for his TOUCHDOWN!… KAN!… ZA!… CITY!!!! saying so I hope I get to hear that A LOT!
Loved the outfit from the 31st..Really liked the color of the sweater! Don’t really love today’s camisole top, but love the red pants…Go Chiefs!
Hey Tania ~
Just started ‘following’ the blog 5 minutes ago!
Yes, I do forget ~ all too often. So frequently that I’ve purchased 2 post-it note cubes (1 for the dining room table where I work on my hobby/biz, and 1 for my office desk) so I can jot down a single word when I think of something I need to do!
Won’t be watching the game tomorrow. But will be cooking linguine with roasted red pepper cream sauce for lunch and avocado toast with sliced tomatoes and a balsamic reduction drizzle for dinner! Maybe I’ll wear red for the winning team too! ?
Love the outfit. I like wearing my leopard print scarf with a little black dress and jean jacket.
I suspect you always end up taking the cami off because you have more flattering options. Why force yourself to wear something you are uncomfortable in? To me, it looks more like lingerie than daytime casual wear.
I received same Non-secure messsge this morning. I wrote a comment and it is not here.
Hopefully, the issue is fixed. GoDaddy forgot to clear the cache after they were finished working on the blog updates, and that caused the error code. Or, at least that is what they are telling me.
Love Christies take on your post. Would love to see her take again in the future. I like the cami with the jacket but I’m not brave enuff to wear red pants and a leopard cami. I’d have to choose just one. We get more timid as we get older and at 77, I pick just one thing to grab interest and keep the rest neutral. But there was a time……. ; )
Testing to see if comment posts
It worked!!!
I love this outfit! A bit of sexy in a casual look!
Woohoo! I’ll take that!
Hello Tania, Your outfit is so cute. Of course you look cute in anything. I’m going to look in my closet and see how close I can come to matching it. We are watching the game tomorrow, and will probably be wanting the Chiefs to win. Since we have been eating too many carbs lately, my husband and I will be having Nacho Cauliflower tostadas with avocado and salsa.
Gayla, tomorrow is a day to splurge. You can watch your food intake next week. Lol!
How is the natural nail growing out going? Picking San Fran as they have a huge Colorado connection, we love our Shanahan’s……..
Slow, very slow. I am hoping that in the next two weeks I will start seeing some improvement.
Not really excited about the game. My ream isn’t playing this year. I’m from Massachusetts and the Patriots are my team. But if I had to pick probably San Fran. Jimmy G learned from the best Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. But Mahomes is an incredible QB and their defense is top notch.
Love the red jeans with the leopard print. I have trouble wearing just a cami as a top too. Feels like lingerie.
It does feel like lingerie, especially since it is satin. I usually add a cardigan or jacket with a cami because I feel too exposed otherwise.
Thanks for the shout out Tania! I bet you do bring us luck! Super cute outfit!
I hope so, Angie!
Love the red pants. I really like NYDJ jeans. I can find them a lot of TJMaxx online for a great price. Since my Patriots aren’t in the game not sure I am going to watch.
I don’t have a team that I root for, but I love watching the playoffs and the Super Bowl.
Big Kansas City Chief fans even though we live in OK. Love the red jeans but for some reason, not a fan of wearing animal print with them. Just me, I’m sure. I didn’t want to bore you commenting every single day but I can see why you’d want our opinion, one way or the other. Some days I love what you’re wearing and can see myself wearing it too. Often I can go to my closet and pull out something similar then other times, I have to order it! Hahaha!! And….I don’t always like what you are showing us once in a while (either not my colors or style) but not that I don’t think it looks good on you. You wear everything beautifully as it is!!
That is the wonderful thing about fashion. You get to choose what you like, and then make it your own. We would hate it if everyone liked the exact same thing.
I love the Jean’s with the jacket, but not too sure of the cami, I’m seventy so probably would not wear…chuckle. I’m going to root for the chiefs, but a good game is a must!! Snacks: haven’t even thought about those yet
he cami is what is throwing me too. I like the concept, but I am not sure that I like the look.
My husband and I were supposed to go to a neighbor’s house to watch the game and have a chili cook-off, but yesterday my husband came down with the flu so we’re staying home. If the hubs is feeling up to it I may make the chili myself! Texas style! We’re not really for either team, but we’ll probably end up rooting for the Chiefs. The commercials are my favorite!! Tania, I love your outfit. The red paired with the leopard is really cute. I would love it if you would share a Valentine’s date night outfit sometime. We’re going to a Valentine’s party/dance and I’d love some inspiration!
Miriam, I sure hope your husband feels better soon. The flu can be a beast. Next week is all about Valentine’s inspiration. Some will be casual, and a couple will be date night inspired.
Go Niners…I’ll be having one of my fav meals…a vodka tonic and tons of popcorn. Don’t knock it until you try it?
Well, that is a first. I don’t think that I have ever heard of that. Lol!
this is a test of the emergency fashion system
haha! It finally worked!
Go SF 49ers go! Love your outfit. We will be having the usual high calories but oh so good finger food: wings, 7 layers dip, pizza, veggies tray and brownies…. Go big or go home!?
I need to get a 7 layer dip. Joe loves those.
just watching the game for the commercials lol – and the snacks! making ribs and trying out the Instant Pot hope they turn out! like your shoes, flats are hard for me to wear for some reason?! feel much better in heels, but those look comfortable – enjoy the game!
I am a heels girl too, Sandy. Flats don’t come naturally to me and I struggle with the look.
Being a Missouri girl I will be rooting for the CHIEFS! We are having a Super Bowl Party so there will be way too many yummy things, meatballs, sliders, buffalo chicken dip, rye bread pizzas, veggies(so we can pretend to be health conscious!). Love your outfit!
Yam, yum, yum!!! If it wasn’t so far off, I’d be coming to your house. Lol!
Love red and animal print. If you still aren’t sure about the outfit, try a black coated denim jacket.
I tried wearing black with the cami first, but it was just too dark on me. That is why I decided on the denim jacket.
I ??? this cami and that you paired it with a denim jacket. I can think of so many items you own that it would look fantastic with. I think you should do a series around that cami!!!
I have never watched to Super Bowl but I just suggested it to my husband. I think he’s game after he heard the word snacks, lol!
Margo, this cami kicks my butt. I can’t find anything that I Love with it. SHew! You’ll have to let me know what you thought about the SuperBowl.
I love the outfit on you but I can’t bring myself to wear a lot of red, red didn’t go with my skin tone at all!
There are a lot of different shades of red, CHristie. Maybe a different shade would work better for you.
For some reason when I open your email w/ safari it says non secure?? I can’t see anyone else’s comments either. I LOVE those red jeans….hate they’re old. We are having buffalo dip, 7 layer dip, grilled wings and hot dogs.
GoDaddy updated my site protection and forgot to clear the cache for the site. It was fully protected, but the cache got stuck from the change. It should be fine tomorrow.
Chiefs Fan! Hoping for a good game and commercials too! Quesadillas are on the menu. Love your jacket, red jeans and earrings. Have a great weekend.
I am really hoping for a good game also. Quesadillas sound wonderful.
We will be smoking ribs on the pellet smoker for the game. I hope its a good game no matter who wins. I feel like I’m wearing lingerie when I wear camis with lace. Lol
Lori, I know what you mean about the cami. Lol!
