Now, let’s dive into four different outfit ideas that will have you feeling trendy and stylish no matter where your day-to-day life takes you.
Everyday Outfits for Spring from Old Navy
Outfit Inspiration #1
The easiest day-to-day spring outfit of all is pairing a great denim jean with a lightweight top. Old Navy always has a wonderful selection of affordable denim. Wide-leg jeans are still having a moment, and I think this cropped, lighter-wash denim pair is very cute and on-trend.
After choosing your denim, it’s time to select a top. A white t-shirt will always be a classic, and I love that this one has a little extra pizazz with the flutter sleeve. You could also go with something simple like this twist front button-down, or add a little personality and color with a fun print like this floral print t-shirt.
Then, it’s time to have fun choosing your accessories! I always pick my shoe depending on what task I have to do that day. If I am going to be on my feet a lot, I typically lean towards a flat sandal like this puffy braided slide sandal. However, an adorable little low heel can really elevate a simple outfit like this. You can even add a statement earring or keep it simple with a gold hoop.
Outfit Inspiration #2
The older I get, the more important comfort has gotten to me! Wearing a pant like this high-waisted linen pant is like getting to wear your pajamas out in public without anyone knowing. They look effortless, plus they are lightweight and breathable for the upcoming hot weather.
These pants would pair well with so many different tops, but I think they would look nice with a slim-fitting top tucked in (like this black tank). I also saw that the flutter sleeve tee above came in this pretty neutral color which goes well with the olive green. If the weather is cooler where you are or if you like to cover your arms, add a jacket or sweater.
For accessories, I kept it simple with a slide sandal and a neutral earring, but you could truly pair this outfit with any of the shoes in this post. As I mentioned in the spring and summer 2023 handbag trends post, straw, and raffia bags are still going to be very popular so you can’t go wrong with carrying one like this tote bag.
Outfit Inspiration #3
I know you all have heard of capsule wardrobes. Well, this graphic is basically a mini capsule wardrobe in itself! You could easily make an entire week’s worth of outfits by mixing and matching the items in this picture.
I always make sure I have a pair of non-denim shorts like these high-waisted trouser shorts, or these high-waisted soft spun shorts in my spring and summer wardrobe. They are so versatile and easy to dress up or down. You can pair them with a body suit (love that this one has full coverage in the back!) or a pretty blouse for two totally different looks. The cherry on top is this linen-blend oversized suit blazer. It is such a fun addition to a shorts outfit, and it could be a versatile part of your closet all year long.
Which pair of these black sandals are your favorite? I think they would both pair well with sundresses, jeans, and shorts, although the block heel ones are a little dressier than the canvas platform sandals.
Outfit Inspiration #4
Everywhere I go, I am still seeing a lot of ladies in athleisure. I know there are some strong opinions from my readers on whether or not you should leave gym clothes for the gym. But, I can’t help but get behind this comfortable trend. Sometimes running to the post office or picking up the dry cleaning is just more enjoyable in a buttery soft pair of leggings!
Whether you choose an athletic dress like this one or stick with old faithful (aka a pair of leggings and a top that covers your bum), you will look adorable while being comfy! Make sure you stay dry from spring rain showers by bringing this water-repellant jacket along on your adventures.

Tania, I stopped by Old Navy today at your recommendation. Great prices, wide selection, fast fashion. Just not for my over 50 body. Wish ON had been there for me decades ago! Thanks for sharing a wide range of options at different price points.
These outfits are my style. Relaxed and comfortable is exactly what I’m looking for when I shop. Thanks for sharing.
This is probably the biggest haul I’ve bought myself from your posts. So many cute t-shirts and options, and tossing in a pair (or two) of earrings
Great outfits!
I have started flying a lot to see my grandkids and would travel with a check in suitcase. But since I have learned about capsule wardrobes I am now packing a week’s worth of clothes into packing cubes and using just a carry on. Thank you for sharing more ideas
Thank you for creating so many outfits with items from ON! As a retiree living on a fixed income, ON is one of my top go-to stores because their budget friendly clothing helps me to stay current without spending a fortune. I just so happen to have the floral tee in my closet and can’t wait to wear it. I also buy a lot of my jeans from ON. Have a great day!
I like all the looks except the leggings.
I have ordered a lot from Old Navy. I like it that they have petite sizes. I love their chino wide leg crops. JoLynn and Cyndi modeled them a few weeks ago. I agree with others about their sizing. That’s main reason I don’t order their jeans. Their jeans also tend to have such big rear pockets.
I have been wanting to try an athleisure dress. The one from Old Navy looks so sporty & cute! I also like ON jeans and the affordable prices. Especially if I am not sure I want to invest a chunk of change on a trendy pair that might not be around for more than a season!
Great ideas at reasonable prices. Definitely will stop by my local store. My experience has been that their sizing can be very tricky.
Thanks for the ON post! They do have some great jeans. I found a great pair of flared jeans a couple of weeks ago. And they have some really nice quality dark jeans that are pretty much only on the website. I have several pairs! Thanks for showing us a variety of clothes from a variety of sources!
Have shopped Old Navy for many years. I mainly purchase tees, tops or sweatshirts. I have the floral tee shirt. I am getting ready to order the button sleeveless top in navy.
I’ve been looking all over for a 100% cotton dress to wear around the house and yard during our very HOT summer here in Florida. I just bought one today after looking at your website from Old Navy. Then I succumbed to a blue/white striped long sleeved shirt! I just hope they fit! I couldn’t even find what i wanted on Amazon!
Thanks for sharing the Old Navy outfits. I’m going to stop by my local store and check out a couple pieces.
I love old navy! I actually tried on the trouser shorts a few weeks ago. I chose the black shorts in the medium. I found the waist band a tad snug so I tried the large they about fell off me. I joked with the sales person that I needed a size medium and a half. I do lo e being trendy for cheap but I find you must try everything on. Their sizing is all over the place!
These are great ideas and inspiration! I also need to get my closet ready for spring. I have to admit you have me spoiled I prefer seeing you model the clothes so I can see how they fit before ordering. Have a great day and thank you for all you do
Love these looks. I usually think of Old Navy just for work-out gear. I tried to get the floral earrings but they are already out of stock. 🙁 Maybe they will restock at some point. Thanks for another great post.
Love these outfits gives me lots of ideas. I especially like the flutter sleeve t shirts and they are very affordable.
